Pre Made Cabinets Installation
I am writing this to warn others to stay away from Stephen Faidley and his one-man firm, MHC Renovations. He grossly abused my trust during our home renovation project and I did not discover it until it was too late. Faidley used numerous and vague invoices related to change orders to steal many thousands of dollars through unethical billing practices. His misconduct included: Flagrant Overcharging: For instance, he charge more than $200 in labor for a five-minute shower head installation. Secret Fee Padding: He heavily padded subcontractor fees (our contract had specified only time and materials for change orders). Refusing Transparency: He was unwilling to hand over receipts and invoices (as Wisconsin state law required), except those related to the final bill I had not yet paid, and they showed he had padded subcontractor fees by 25% to 35%. When challenged to hand over the many remaining receipts and invoices, he got himself a lawyer and offered a tiny settlement fee. Do not use this man.

"MHC Renovations takes customer feedback seriously; however, this review contains several inaccurate statements, and we respectfully disagree with the claims presented. All work on this project was completed under a signed contract and documented change orders, with billing based on actual labor, materials, and subcontractor costs. It is the standard business practice throughout the construction industry for the prime contractor to apply a markup to subcontractor services and materials to cover project management, coordination, scheduling, warranty responsibility, and administrative costs. Our billing practices follow these accepted industry standards as well as the terms agreed to in our contracts. Our documentation and billing procedures also comply with applicable state laws and the terms of our written agreements. This matter has been previously addressed and a settlement reached through professional legal counsel. Because contractual details and the specifics of the legal resolution cannot be discussed in a public forum, we will not comment further beyond this response. MHC Renovations remains committed to transparent communication, ethical business practices, and quality workmanship for every client we serve."

Basement Remodeling
We couldn't be happier with Stephen and MHC Renovations and I highly recommend them for your next project. They recently remodeled our basement to add two bedrooms and create an amazing family room.
