If I had checked his contractor license instead of trusting his promises, I would have found out that Michael has more than a decade of serious, persistent contractor violations. With our kitchen repairs, until we sent him the deposit, he was responsive and promised to take care of our kitchen remodel according to the specifications we had made (a simple job initially basically changing out an old kitchen sink and replacing our countertop and cabinet doors). He kept proposing more jobs, made them sound like a good idea, but later failed to carry out our agreement, leaving us with a kitchen that looked far worse than when we started. The work was worse than shoddy: everything he did was very crooked, the materials were often the wrong size and very low quality. He installed our kitchen sink crooked - it is so far to the left that we can no longer stand in front of the sink when we use it; the kind of sink he bought was plastic and is already discolored, when stainless steel was written in our quote. He left a mess every time he was here, failing to use the state mandated protections to shield our family from the lead dust and saw dust he left behind all over the kitchen and dining room. He didn’t carry out the work and refused to reimburse us from the large deposit that was supposed to cover repairs he never even started. We had to pay more than three thousand dollars to repair the back door frame he ripped out and never replaced because he bought a door that was too big to fit our door frame (he claimed that doors our size were no longer made, yet after we let him go, we were able to purchase one right away); plus repairing the backsplash he tore out. I don’t recommend working with him. He took our money and left us with a severely damaged kitchen.

Michael is very knowledgeable and completed the task in under the estimated time with excellent final results. Would hire again!

My wife and I had an excellent experience with Michael Rymer of Michael’s Interiors. The project: installation of a granite counter top, backsplash and plumbing for a cabinet located on our patio. He helped us select a granite design, coordinated sub-contractors, and was on site directing the installation to be sure everything was correct. We are very pleased with a job well done. We will contract again with Michael’s Interiors, Michael Rymer, as the need arises.

Michael and the men he hired were very professional. Michael stayed on site throughout the entire job and checked their work periodically. The men worked with great efficiency and precision. This is the third time I've worked Michael and plan to hire him again for our next project.

Michael was absolutely fantastic - friendly, knowledgeable, quick and efficient, and very responsive. He and his wife did absolutely beautiful work in our kitchen, and were such a pleasure to have in our home! I would Highly recommend!
