Very smoothly. This is the company to go with.

8-28-17 Superb. Its now 2 years after installation and all is well. They installed 23 panels and 23 Micro-inverters. We did have 1 issue with Ethernet over Power which conflicted with electricity generated but the manufacturer and this company solved it,. Otherwise, PG&E now owes us money since so far every year we generate a bit more than we consume,. We did however institute some energy saving measures (like drying clothes in the back yard on clothesline instead of in a dryer). With the latest summer heat we needed to turn on the A/C a lot more often and a lot longer hence consuming more energy so we'll see how the True-Up (annual bill settlement for houses with Solar Electric) ends up. However, the system works and generates as much as we expected and we are happy with Mid State Solar.

The best solar company in San Joaquin / Stanislaus Counties, bar none. <br /> We initially hired them (2014) to install the Solar Pool heating system.(see my other review of same company) <br /> A year later, we were looking to install PV (Electric) solar system. We had 3 finalists in our myriad of choices. Again, their prices were mid-range but they elected to provide a discount to come closer to the lowest price we had from a an alternate vendor - plus free upgrade to better solar panels and better management software. That - in combination with our prior Solar Pool heating experience, tilted the scale in their favor and we chose them. Once again, they did an amazing, prompt job. We only had the system for 3 weeks so I will post updates  in the future. But as we stand we are 100% satisfied and we highly recommend Mid-State Solar <br /> A few notes: <br /> * our system has 23 panels (and 23 micro-inverters) that hopefully will offset all of our PG&E electricity costs. <br /> * The system is warranted for 25 years parts by manufacturer and 10 years labor by Mid-State Solar. <br /> *  comparing costs from PG&E Electricity, and counting the 30% federal tax credit, and considering that PG&E raises their electricity prices by 6% annually  (on average) - the system costs compared to PG&E is 1 to 4....i.e. 25% of what would have cost to power our house for 25 years, and that includes solar panels degradation. This is a conservative estimate (9 cents per kWh, where with PG&E we commonly broke all 4-tiers of costs currently 15.2 cents for tier 1 and 32.2 cents for tier 4 (Schedule E6 Time of Use) and these costs are expected to escalate higher over 25 years. <br /> * Since our western roof was already somewhat occupied with the Pool Heating Solar panels, our PV Electric Solar panels were spread over partly on western roof and partly on the ideal south-facing roof (too small for entire system). This did not add to costs <br /> * With the upgraded software we were provided I can track each individual panel status and performance - or the system as a whole. Most people will find this technical details perhaps boring but by profession I am a software engineer and this was and is important for me. <br /> <br />

The system they had (Israeli-made) exceeded my expectations and provided an exceptionally hot swimming pool per our (medical) requirements and to our complete satisfaction. This is not easy to achieve but the owner (Phil) worked with us patiently from start to finish and was always, prompt, courteous and professional. <br /> Their quote was not the cheapest (more like mid-range) but the fact they have been in business since 1977 and their thorough knowledge and patience impressed me. <br /> I will detail in another review the experience we had (almost a year later) with PV (Electric) service purchase and installation by Mid-State Solar. <br />

It is even better than I expected it to be, I've been swimming since 2 weeks after installation and my pool never falls below 80 degrees and will heat up to 90 by early afternoon! An investment worth every penny to me!! The guys were here promptly and were gone in 5-6 hours after showing me what I needed to do, the next day someone came back to inspect everything and make sure everything was operating as it should be. I have shared with many friends who are looking to make their own pools as useable as mine is now? <br />

After installing our pool, we quickly realized we wanted a pull heating system. After doing extensive research and quotes from multiple large solar companies we decided to give Mid-State Solar a call. The moment Mid-State solar showed up to our home to talk to us about a pool heating system we were impressed. With the larger companies, it felt like they just wanted to get the sale and be off. Mid-State actually took the time "before we signed anything" to go above and beyond to educate us on the system, what to expect, etc. Needless to say we were impressed. Even more impressive was the price. We went with Mid-State for our pool heating solution. They were exceptional, prompt, and answered any questions we had. <br /> We then decided to start looking into "purchasing" a complete electric solar system for our home. We did extensive research, we got quotes from all the major solar providers in our area. To be honest, this research left a very bad taste in our mouths. We quickly learned that these large solar companies will do some very unscrupulous things to get you to not "purchase" the system. They would rather you lease and use the financing options. Leaving you essentially paying twice the amount the system is worth and after the lease is up you still do not own the panels. We then decided to give Mid-State Solar a call. <br /> Mid-State Solar again shined. They went 100% above and beyond in helping us. No pressure to finance, no pricing gimmicks. We own the system, we got all the tax breaks. The complete 32 panel install only took two days to finish, they were professional in every step of the way. I wholeheartedly would recommend Mid-State Solar to anyone looking into a solar. <br />

Got a phone call the morning of the install saying they were running 45 minutes behind, only showed up 30 minutes late. Nice to the call and not have to wonder where they were. The work men showed up and gave me an estimate of the time required and they were done early. Good follow up call the next day to see how the system was working for me. A few tiles were broken (not sure you could do it without some breaking). Mid State replaced the tiles that day. Could not be happer with the job done. <br />
