"Lifetime warranty" on work. Business appears to be defunct. Phone numbers are invalid. 1.5 years later' bathroom tile is cracking and no support available. Bummer!

Cabinets were only 10 years old so I didn't want to replace them, just change the color. This company operates the NHance wood restoration system as promoted by Home Depot. The process is a good one for changing color, however the prep work to the kitchen cabinets was dismal. Because of poor prep, the stain chips, peels and cracks off with just a touch of a fingernail. The last time the company was out for repairs to the surface, they had 25 chips in the kitchen to repair. The repair process consists of dabbing on stain until it sticks. A little like trying to write on a wet surface with a magic marker. The parent company--who holds the NHance franchise-- (Midwest Construction Company, LLC) no longer answers the phone. We had to hire another paint specialist (cost $1000) to come and put two coats of sealer on all the cabinets in an effort to stop the chipping/flaking/peeling problem.

A contract was signed in Feb 2016. The roof was very slow in being done, but it was done and I am pleased with the work. However. entry doors, storm door, and insulation have STILL not been done. There was a revolving door of contact persons but NO work was done. Doors were measured numerous times but NO work was done. Attempts to contact the company have not been successful. This is a company to AVOID!

I found this company called Midwest Constructions Services to do some work in the sunroom via AngiesList. On 05/03/2016 I went into a contract to complete the work. I paid a down payment of $3,808.00. About a month later, the company contacted me informing that the city of Dublin will not approve the permit unless a major rebuild/reconstruction is done. As a result, I asked them to refund the money. I was told by all my contacts at Midwest Constructions Services that their accountant will contact me about refund. That never took place. Eventually, I got a hold of the general manager saying that I will be getting the money soon. That never happened either. I just got many excuses from him. I still haven’t received the money back. Recently, when I try to reach out to the company the phone number is going elsewhere.

On 2/2/2016 we paid them 1/3 down that was supposed to be used as a down payment and to pay for the material and products that we were to select. After selecting our materials and products and finalizing the designs, we paid them another 1/3 on 4/18/2016 - the date they were to begin construction. The contract stated that the entire project would be completed in 10-12 weeks. As of today, 10/24/2016, the kitchen has yet to be completed. Nothing else has been done to the rest of the home. There are also a lot of problems with the work that has been done. Examples include electrical, plumbing, hvac, and appliance installation. There are electrical wires hanging from the ceiling; electrical switches and outlets dangling from the walls; some outlets and switches do not work and are not connected properly; there is an hvac connection to our upstairs bathroom that hasn't been hooked up; and some of the plumbing is not working properly. All of these things have been in this condition for over 6 months and nothing has been done to fix them. We don't had a kitchen sink, dishwasher, or workable/vented range hood. They haven't yet installed all of the kitchen cabinets and counter top. The counter top we selected in March was never purchased and we lost it, having to go through the intensive process of trying to find another one at the beginning of Sep. According to the granite supplier, Midwest were warned for 3 months that they were not going to hold the slabs any longer and received NO response from Midwest; so they were forced to sell them to someone else at the beginning of Aug. I didn't find out about this until the beginning of Sep and ONLY because I contacted the supplier directly. When I confronted Midwest about it, they actually threatened to file criminal charges against me over a lie that I threatened one of their employees lives (a complete falsehood and intimidation tactic). I was furious and couldn't believe someone in charge of their company would speak to me and threaten me like that. I immediately contacted an attorney, and was very close to filing a lawsuit, but I really didn't think going down that road was good for anyone. I decided to work with them and give them once last chance to get this right, so we went through the process of looking all over town for a week and finally found new granite, although it was more expensive than the original. Midwest actually admitted that it was their fault and agreed to pay for 1/3 of the cost difference. Although that mistake was still going to cost us a lot of extra money, I was hopeful that we could actually work together and FINALLY get this resolved - so we accepted and assumed work would actually begin a new within a week or so. Well, that wasn't to be, because here we are nearly 2 months now since that happened, and still NO work has been done and they are now ignoring my texts and phone calls. Entire homes have been built in the time we've been waiting for a kitchen. I have sent them emails and texts over and over again trying to get some idea of when this was to be completed, and have only received "you're on the schedule", and then no one shows up to do any work or they do very little. Since Feb, they have had someone at my house doing work, maybe 3 weeks total (considering a 2/3 man crew working 8 hours/day). I sent them an email last month telling them all these things, asking them to complete the job in a reasonable time frame, telling them we can't continue to live like this. We are a 7 person family living without a kitchen and our family room and bathroom is a wreck because they tore out tile flooring and large portions of drywall in these areas and have never fixed any of it. I don't think they will ever complete the work they have contracted to do for us. Enough is enough, I am filing this complaint and I am filing one with the BBB and the Ohio Attorney Generals office.

Awful. The workers were very nice, but I am not sure they had enough training or experience to do a good job on some of the more complicated tasks required for my remodel. Many, many rookie mistakes were made: very POOR quality tile work in the shower (the floor, however was great--it was a different installer), reversed plumbing (hot marked cold and cold marked hot) in the shower and the freestanding tub. They overtightened one sink faucet damaging it so that it was dripping constantly. I paid another plumber to come in to fix the reversal in the shower and replace the dripping sink faucet. I did not and do not want Midwest to come back to my house for any reason. It was worth it to me to pay a real, licensed plumber $250 to do it right. Poorly constructed shower bench that was out of square and it had to be rebuilt then later it had to be re-sloped so the water stayed in the shower. It is still not perfect. The job was suppose to take two weeks and ended up taking three months. Tile was mis-ordered and then under-ordered so we ran out of tile THREE times. This added to the delay. Even with all of this I was hanging in there because the workers and my project manager were nice and seemed to be doing their best. My final straw came in dealing with Bill the General Manager. He was very gruff and rude. I can't imagine how he treats his employees. He was borderline threatening. Wade, one of the project managers promised to refund my account $250, but he never did. I texted him and called and talked to David and still nothing. Look at the complaints against them with the Better Business Bureau. See my photos of my shower stall. Cuts are horrible and they attempted to get away with laying tile directly over drywall instead of over hardibacker/tile board. They did eventually tear the work reflected in these photos out and replace it. The new tile cuts are better, but grossly unlevel in many spots. The custom shower glass company had to do some "magic" with shims to get the glass door to work properly. What a nightmare! RUN!

He came promptly when expected, surveyed the situation and then return a few hours later with the needed equipment (a long ladder and a helper).  They went up to the rooftop, found the loose shingles and glued them back in place.  All of this took no more than an hour.  Joe, the project manager, was very clear, polite and easy to work with.

I wanted to add an addition to my sun room. We have a contract with the company for the services and I have given the company a down payment. The company was supposed to get permission from the city prior to starting the work but the company will not get back with me in regards to this. As agreed upon previously, I have purchased the materials needed, and because I have had no contact with them, the materials have been sitting in my kitchen, taking up space. The work was supposed to be completed within 8 weeks but as I stated previously we are going on 3 months with no work completed at all.
