Awful. We feel robbed! He arrived to our house on 1-23 and started taking the damage ceiling planks before double checking what we had for replacement. Then he told us that our planks were damaged and could not be used. He went to the store. He then called us to let us know that he could not find the same planks to match our ceiling. He wanted to change all the basement ceilings and charge us 1265 more. He kept changing the quotes and it was very confusing. He never came back to the house to finish ANY of the jobs he was hired to do even though he had already been paid 50%. We then asked him to apply what we had already paid him towards the bathroom ventilation system. He said he was going to follow up with us. We have not heard ANYTHING from him since January 27th. We have already paid him %50 and all he has done is remove some planks from the ceiling.

Everything went wonderfully well. Mike kept me informed on the progress from beginning to end. Mike even check and took care of any siding that needed to be secured better. He arrived on time and even sent me pictures of the completed work as I was not home. Kudos to Mike and Ed's Handyman Service.

A handyman/ contractor named Mike performed the work w/in my home. The Pros, included him being punctual, time- efficient and performing the work described w/o incident/ difficulty. I am pleased w/ the work. I was extremely dissatisfied w/ the price of the work however. Upon the initial assessment a price that I sincerely felt was inflated was given. I decided to address the immediate concerns w/in my home and given Covid did not want repeated people entering to gather a second estimate, I went w Mike. I paid 1/2 of the initial price as was policy at the start of him beginning to work w/in my home via Zelle. This was fine. He was unable to finish the work in one day, which was also fine and I asked him about add'l smaller projects w/in my home that he had the option to accept/ decline. He accepted. One was to perform a job similar in size/ labor as a previous job we had discussed that was no longer needed. I suggested the initial price either be lowered or the jobs swapped as an even exchange. A second job was placing a recessed lighbulb where one had previously burned out. He agreed. Upon of completion of the work the remaining balance increased by a little over $200. I was stunned. He did not swap out the initial job as was implied since he NEVER stated otherwise and charged me $100 to place new handles on my kitchen cabinets and charged me $50 to insert the lightbulb. Given that he is a stranger and I am not looking for fights I paid him in full and asked him to leave my home. I felt taken advantage of, ****** and would never refer such a greedy individual to anyone- which is a shame b/c while advancing himself upwards of $200 he ultimately lost thousands in certain call- backs I would have made and referrals I would have gladly given.

"Good morning first off you cannot tell me what my prices are inflated if I’ve been charging the same play prices since I’ve been in business And you cannot add work to a contract and think that the Preston not supposed to change thirdly I change your knobs on your cabinets not once but twice because he was unhappy with the Hardware for the cabinets that you picked out and I change them Internet charge you a second time I cut you a break on that also I cut you a break on the rotting as well you cannot call in a plumber in a going to keep trying different trains until they fix your problem for the same price I left that price the same for you then you try to switch up on me in at the inside of the door painting to the contract when it was no work being Done on the inside door to even consider being painted that is something you edit the second day when I was there so if you want to try to give someone a bad review cover your basics and be truthful your bill Should’ve well been over $1500 Without any discount"

I provided Mike $3,000 (60%) down payment through Zelle for the material order in July 2020. He then could not schedule the work (waiting on materials & had another project) until end of August. On 8//31 he arrived at 10:00 am with one helper and they worked 3 hours. Mike assessed a new spline tracks had to be ordered for the screen splines so he called a material & supply company in IN and placed the order - in stainless steel which was all that was available. Also, Mike showed up in a car with limited tools as he said his work van had been stolen the day before. I lent him my tape measure-which he still has. I had to continually call Mike to get a solid date of his return to do the work. He had several excuses (his work van was stolen, his phone answering system needs repair, his worker is ill). Mike's phone does not allow messages to be left. I texted and he finally called me back on Saturday, 9/5/20. He stated his helper (his uncle Jesse) had a heart condition and he couldn't do the project by himself. We agreed on his returning Thursday 9/10 & Friday 9/11 to complete all the work. When I texted and tried calling Mike on Wednesday 9/9/20 to verify his start time for Thursday he never answered. I was at my condo expecting him to show up on Thursday to work and he never did. I supplied Mike $3,000 down payment for screen material he purchased - which is now in my possession. However, there is no way the material and 2 men at 3 hours of work warrant his keeping my $3,000.00. I have repeatedly texted, emailed and called Mike and have yet to get a response. I am more than willing to pay for the material in my possession and the labor rates for 2 men @ 3 hours but certainly expect an itemized bill and a refund promptly. If I don't hear from Mike shortly for a settlement, I'll be filing a police report for theft of services and funds. Also, I went to the Lowes in Orland Park (not 5 minutes from my condo jobsite) and there is plenty of material he could have gone to purchase and install on the day he worked, Monday 8/31/2020. Communication is key. A handyman contractor that does not have a phone nor returning texts is unreliable and unacceptable. He's Definitely not good in response time...He moved the date without checking on a previous date that i had no idea it need to be confirmed via text i paid half for the svc he sent a copy of invoice to complete project he has not text or call since the date give for the project which was scheduled for 7/10/20 now he's saying since i didn't confirmed the 10th he moved me to the 24th well...i did confirmed that date either nor was informed of the change due to not confirming the 10th

"This customer is a liar and she also have a installation date and we do not hold appointments without deposit you cannot get an estimate Indian 2 1/2 weeks later paid deposit and think that the date stands what was talked about at the time and then contact me the day Before the work supposed to begin original date was the 10th but she took 2 1/2 weeks to pay a deposit so I guess her date gets taken by someone that booked and paid a deposit before her"

screen door & sliding door trim (good) floor trim (good) 2 windows trim (good) 3 doors trim (good) some of the materials are mine. entry basic coat rack with shelve 6 ft high ; need stool to reach (Bad) open closet with one shelve 6ft high : need stool to reach /uneven plaster (Bad) Took 3 weeks to finish the job. with actual 24 worked hours. included the two days in a row of no call no show. Job was done Rush. I learned my lesson in a hard way. I wish no ill for you. I just wish I hired someone else. it could’ve been faster service and full satisfaction.

Well terribly to say the least. I told Mike I need the stairs completed asap because of a move in deadline he told me no problem and convinced me he would do a great job and fast , so I cut a cashier's check for the amount he asked for, when he showed up for work he spent half the time on his cell phone and listening to his playlist, he removed two steps climb down in and placed 2 by 4s underneath existing stairs and said he was done and that he was going to replace the two stairs he took out and he was finished , I told him, that wasn't good enough, and that wasn't what I paid him for. He also said anything more would be overkill, after that day I never seen him again, we did speak on the phone, he was screaming, loudly, and over talking me, he is a disgrace to the Carpentry field, I have taken before and after pictures of his work, I plan too let a judge decide on his behavior, no call no show on 3 consecutive days he text me and said he would be at the work site . And I also paid him extra to paint two walls, he was paid for work he didn't do . Lawsuit in motion

Not well quote was 200-235 , sent pictures - after he came to look at it He said 250 - no problem , when he asked if I had a tape measure red flags should have been raised but I needed the water turned back on so I agreed , He went to the “specialty plumbing store “ and came back 2hours later fixed the pipe after the water main was turned back on another pipe broke the 1 he was wrenching on ... He said another 350 to fix it ... unfortunately I agreed - so it was “fixed “ 600 dollars total - parts (around 50-60 dollars after doing research readily available at any hardware store ) replacing the pipes around 1 - 1/2 hours a couple days later the the same pipe broke at a different coupling ... so I Hired a real plumber - He explained the couplers in the Galvanized pipe were cheap fixes and He would never replace those Fittings because They will all rust through sooner than unless He installed copper or Pex so 1800 dollars later after 600 I wasted I have water again

"Because the customer was an honest about the amount of work they need to be dead and he only had one section of the wall open with the pipe was leaking so I could not see any additional work at that time when I asked him was there any more leaks he said just in that one spot so after repairing that one spot and cut the water back on we discovered other pipes that was leaking that was inside the wall it was a visual to me the water was cut off when I arrived and he took out the Celine his cell and told me that’s where the leak was so that’s the area where I originally charged for He was not A honest customer and wanted additional work done for free"
