Mike's Heating & Cooling

Mike's quoted 3 systems; the multi-zone Mitsubishi hyper-heat system was about twice the cost of the Trane single-zone std. heatpump. The quote from a 2nd HVAC installer for a standard Carrier single-zone heatpump system was only $1000 less than Mike's Mitsubishi system. I wasn't originally considering the Mitsubishi because of the cost but the Carrier-system quote changed my mind. It took two days to complete. The installers were efficient, professional and amiable. They did a good job and took the time they needed to install the equipment correctly and make it look good. The condensor unit was delivered to Mike's with a dent; they gave me the option of a price break or getting another unit shipped next-day. The Mitsubishi system they installed operates much differently from the 13 year old standard-heatpump-system it replaces; before they left, the technician took the time to explain what to expect regarding the system's operation and encouraged me to contact Mike's if I had any questions or concerns.

Extremely well, they found a gas leak, they weren't able to fixed but we got someone from the gas company to come and fixed the leakage.

I reviewed Mikes back in January and gave the company a low rating due to theft of items from our home during the installation. Recently in April the company manager contacted me informing me one of the employees who had been in my home had been fired related to being arrested. In light of this new information, the company contacted me and paid us back in full for the replacement cost of the missing items. I couldn’t change my other review, so added this new one. The company does take complaints seriously and values customers.

The only bad part about this experience is Angie's List never accepting my review. Love Mikes, would rather not get another email from Angie's List.

They came out and placed a temporary fan in my unit until the OEM or recommended one would be replaced. We were charged for the visit and given a price for the unit telling us we would only be charged this . When they came out with the replacement , the charge was double and they included another service charge . we were billed twice and way above the quote.

The only issue was not giving me a receipt but they e-mailed me one very quickly when I called. Otherwise, quick and well-done repairs to a 20-year-old AC.

Tech looked for obvious leaks and found none. Added freon. He did NOT tell me about a much cheaper option of changing out coolant. Another type of coolant can be used and it costs 10% of R22. If I get a low indication again, I will have the coolant swapped out.

I think that their price is good. I'm on a year long service plan, and I just renewed it.

They do a real good job for us. They are pretty good. Very good service. I have a contract where they come back every six months to work on it. I pay for that three year contract, where they come twice a year to clean it, and do all that. They are very good. I like their price a lot. Excellent quality. When I call, they come. I use them all the time, I got a contract with them.

Everything was perfect. Personnel were friendly, on time, professional and concerned about me, my home and the job. Everything was great. Everybody involved asked if I had any questions or concerns.

I had some good experiences with Mike’s Heating. The best was the installers were very nice and friendly. They seemed to do good work. I really don’t have any bad issues. I think they could have done a little better with follow up in terms of checking how things were going, suggesting annual service and stuff like that. I haven’t really heard much from them since. I remember it wasn’t cheap, but it was reasonable, no worse than anyone else.

After a thorough review of our system by another company, I received an estimate from them to replace two bad capacitors and a contactor in our heat pump. The total was over $700, so I declined the repair service. I looked up the pricing on the parts and bought two of them for less than $50. I then called Mike's Heating and Cooling and spoke with Josh who gave me a price of $50 for the third part I needed and $85 to install all three. Less than 48 hours later, the technician DJ had them installed and our system is now working great. In the end I spent less than $200 for everything, which was significantly less expensive than going with the original Aire Serve bid. I am very happy with Mike's Heating and Cooling and plan to use them in the future.

Great. Technician arrived within an hour of my call (Sunday morning after Thanksgiving) Diagnosed the problem and made a temp repair until the needed part could be ordered.

Tyler from Mike's came out on Monday, August 1st in response to our a/c not working. He determined that one of the two units was in fact working, but the other was shot. He told us they would contact us to schedule an appointment for a second opinion from another technician. Who else does that!!!! I asked him about it and he said it was their company policy. AMAZING! We had one previous experience last year with another technician was was also extremely courteous and efficient. These are the best service people and company we have ever dealt with!

I've been concerned about having to replace my apt conditioning unit for a couple years now. I contacted Mike's and they had a tech ( Vince) out here within a week. He came on time, professional, and diagnosed my issue without replacing the unit. Success!! I'd absolutely call them again!
