These people done went down hill. Try to avoid this place at all cost . And Whatever you do , don?t let Derek touch your truck . My truck has been there since April. For a transmission swap . It?s still having the same issues , but now my exhaust is cut and unbolted , the ground strap is ran wrong and now there more codes than before . fog light wire is cut & they were wanting to charge me $1700. For not fixing and damaging my truck .

The shop was busy and they made an appointment for me and they had the vehicle towed over there from the dealership.  It took them about a week and I had some problems after the fact that I had a loose motor mouth which was causing some vibrations. So I brought it back to them. I had some issues with the overall service but the transmission was fine. One of the things they had to do was to remove the motor mouth both and them put the back on. One of the quotes I got form the dealership said they there were supposed to change them out but they said that it was not necessary. The motor mouths loose and I was having engine problem and they diagnosed it and said the engine was shock and said it is not their fault. In the end I just traded the vehicle in.  They did not charge me for the diagnosed and towing.

Mike's did work on my Ford F150 when it would not go into reverse.  Charged a fair price...and did not add additional monies at the end of the job.  Work was completed one day earlier than scheduled.  Would highly recommend to someone who needs transmission work in Baton Rouge. <br />

I was met by a very friendly and personable person who took my information with a smile.  It was very comforting. <br /> My check engine light was on in my car and I had no clue what the problem was.  I must say they were very professional.  Called me with the diagnosed problem, gave me an estimate of cost (correct figure) and advised if it would be more than a day.  My vehicle was ready when they said it would be, the cost was what the estimate was given. <br />    I couldn't ask for better service and my vehicle runs fine. <br />

He is very honest, reasonable, and dependable. They don't fix things just to charge extra. I can trust that they will just do the work needed. They do the work quickly so that I am not without my car.

We had a frustrating experience at the dealer trying to diagnose why our car would not go into reverse. They told us that "the computer isn't finding any error codes, so it's the transmission." The choices they then gave us were to a) buy a new car b) flush the transmission, or c) replace the transmission. Well, we of course chose b. And of course, that is exactly what we later found out from the dealer service manager (and confirmed at Mike's Transmission) is exactly NOT what you are supposed to do for this issue. Of course, we were not satisfied with this, and quite uncomfortable replacing the transmission if they couldn't tell us what the actual problem was. After taking us down some strange rabbit holes and confusing non-answers, they finally told us that they would not further diagnose the problem nor examine the transmission because their service policy is to replace the transmission. So, we gave up on the sleazy sales/service at the dealer and took our car to Mike's Transmission based off of a recommendation from an owner of a trusted local repair shop. <br /> <br /> We were immediately pleased with the service within the first minute of arriving. The staff is very knowledgeable and considerate. They educate you about the issues at hand which helps immensely. They admit when they don't know an answer and look into it for you. <br /> <br /> They diagnosed the exact problems for us and provided several quotes based on the various repair options. <br /> <br /> The shop was very busy with cars everywhere, tow trucks dropping off cars, and lots of work activity, which, to me, shows they have earned a lot of customers over time. Even as busy as they were, they were always easy to reach on the phone. They completed the diagnosis and rebuilt the transmission in about a week and a half.
