This company walked off the job after 7 months of doing the job in fits and starts. They had to completely redo the shower tile wall they installed because the backer was installed poorly. They had to redo the tile floor they installed because they used the wrong grout. The small alcove in the tile wall was not up to code as the tile of the back of the alcove was affixed directly on the drywall of the adjoining room and not vapor barrier. The toilet tank was installed crooked. The medicine cabinet was installed rotated 90 degrees (installed rectangular box oriented horizontally instead of vertically). Workers disappeared for weeks because of "other jobs". And so many more problems. Kip Poust was the owner and he was very unhelpful. Darin Swartley was the "project manager" but I use that term loosely as he seldom was ever on site. I think they stopped doing business under the Millenium name, but beware of any business involving Kip Poust.

It should be made known that Millenium Kitchen and Bath Remodeling is a general contractor (gc). The general contractor portion of the project started out fine, but towards the end of the project, Kip, the gc refused to return texts, phone calls or emails and the remodel was NEVER finished. I'm not sure how this company garnered the Angie's List status it received when they treat customers in this fashion. I specifically used this company based on the Angie's List recommendation. I will not recommend Millenium Kitchen and Bath based on the fact that someone else's remodel may be left incomplete.

They had the first crew that came in did most of the work, but they didn't finish and they had very poor attention to detail so there was a lot of stuff that needed to be fixed up. He sent another guy in and he did some stuff, another guy came in and finished a few other things. Then there was a delay getting some of the kitchen drawers - ordered the wrong ones, shipped the wrong ones, then the weather - it was about 6 weeks later. When they came in, the guy who did the drawers did a few other things, but there's still some repairs that need completed. Some sloppy work we'll just have to live with, but he didn't install a GFI outlet in the bathroom, there's loose tile, the bathroom door isn't closing properly, etc. There's also wall damage in one of the bedrooms from when they did the bathroom - the hammering put some cracks and a couple of pops in the bedroom wall. I've tried to get a hold of them for two weeks now and can't get them out to finish the job.

Throughout the project Millenium?s crew were professional, courteous and showed up on time. They started the project as scheduled and returned calls in a timely manner. As with most projects, there were some changes, complications and new decisions which needed to be addressed. Upon completion, my husband and I were initially happy with the work. Approximately one week after completion, we noticed water dripping through our downstairs ceiling at the base of the stairwell and leaking into the living room area. Kip was called immediately and sent personnel to examine the problem. With our approval, an access hole was cut through the wall of the upstairs bedroom closet adjoining the bathroom and it was discovered that the solder on the newly installed copper pipe did not provide a complete seal causing the water to leak downstairs. Millenium personnel re-soldered the pipe, added a plastic access panel to the new opening and touched up the damaged areas. After showering, we had also noticed the pooling of water on the tub bottom about a foot above the drain. Upon closer examination of this area we also observed a stain. The area was lightly cleaned but the stain remained. We called Kip to stop by and take a look at it. Pictures were taken and Kip pointed out that the stain was actually rust most likely due to a defect in the manufacturing of the tub. We asked him if the tub could be fixed which was our initial preference. He said he was willing to replace or pay for re-glazing of the tub. The bead of calking around the tub was also failing and I asked that this be fixed. Kip examined the caulking and stated the bead was not large enough when applied and he would fix it once the tub was fixed. We then called two tub re-glazing companies and were told by both that re-glazing was only a short-term solution and they would not guarantee their work because it was a new tub and the pooling was a concern. One of the tub refinishers examined the tub and stated it was his belief that the tub was not installed correctly. We called Kip and passed this information on to him and told him that we would like a better quality tub installed and that we would pay the difference in price. We provided the information on the new tub to Kip and he stated that he would check the specs and fit the removal and rework of the new tub into his schedule within thirty days. Since that conversation in early August which was has been followed by calls, e-mails, texts and even a certified letter, all attempts at contacting Millenium Remodeling have gone unanswered. The new bathroom still has the rusting tub. We have been reasonable and patient but have reached the point where we need your assistance resolving this issue.

We had a leak from a second floor bathroom from the water feed to our toilet. The bathroom floor was flooded and the water drained down into the kitchen ceiling. It was quite a mess. I called my insurance company and they sent someone out to evaluate the damages. The person from the insurance company felt that we could just remove one row of tile from the bathroom floor, which did not sound right to me. I went to Angie's List and checked out different contractors. From the positive comments I found Darin from Millenium and he returned my call promptly. It only took a couple of days for him to come over. He was great. He spent some time with us and went over all the damage. He told us what needed to be done, how he would do it, the time frame and everything. He was incredible. He agreed that the entire tile floor needed to be removed and went over the insurance estimate and told us what else would have to be done that the insurance company did not tell us. For example the insurance company wanted to replace one row of tile rather than the whole tile floor, the insurance company would pay for a new vanity but wanted us to use the top of the damaged vanity. Darin sent us an estimate and spoke with the insurance agent and their estimator. They agreed to let my insurance company hire a third party to review everything. The reviewer came out and Darin met him at my house. The insurance reviewer basically agreed with everything Darin said and they approved a whole new vanity and a whole new tile floor Darin then went with us to pick out the tile and the vanity and helped us set up what we needed to do. Everything was done exactly to schedule. He really worked with our schedule and there were NO surprises. When work began he sent out someone to do the work. His name was Vinny. He was excellent. He did an unbelievable great job. he let us know what he was doing. I mean he even warned us when he was going to turn the water off. He left a clean site every day. we were watching our grandchild for the week and he was great in trying to decrease the noise while she slept. All I can tell you is that he was incredible and did great work. When the job was done Darin came back and inspected everything with us. The price was clear, there were no extra surprises. I would very strongly recommend Millenium and Darin. I think Vinny does great work. Very happy I found them on Angie's List.

My experience with Kip and his team was exceptional. From the first contact Kip was professional. He was responsive, easy to get a hold of, and he was accommodating to my schedule. We agreed to a price, signed the contract, and set up a schedule with the understanding that both ($ and time) may change depending on the degree of water damage behind the shower. Dealing with contractors in the past I expected the worse, you know the overly inflated add on price you have no choice to take since your home is torn apart and an undetermined amount of time added on, but that was not the case at all. The job originally was scheduled for approximately 4 days and only took 5 1/2 days total! Mike, our tech, even came out on Saturday to be sure that the job stayed on schedule. Obviously, due to the extent of the damage the total cost of the job did increase but Kip and Mike worked together to be sure they stayed as close to our budget as possible and I am confident in the decision we made. Mike was friendly and very respectful of my home and belongings. He communicated with me through each stage to be sure I was in the loop. In between times when Mike had to wait for something to dry and such instead of standing around doing nothing, he offered to complete minor projects, like replacing 2 or 3 electrical outlets that my Husband kept putting off doing (haha). He even helped my husband move a rather large and bulky Arcade game from the basement! I work in Property Management and have dealt with many contractors of all kinds and I must say Millenium Kithcen and Bath Remodeling proved that there are still good, hard working, honest businesses/people out in the world, and that not all contractors are alike. I look forward to hiring Millenium in the future for any projects we may have.

We worked with Kip extensively. He provided excellent design and strategic advice when it came to designing the kitchen cabinets, coffered ceiling work, the loft in the bedroom, master closet and bathroom. We had a few hiccups along the way but Kip and his crew were responsive and worked through all the issues. We are really pleased by the work and key for us was that we stayed in scope and on budget.

I dealt with Darin for these projects. The one thing that stood out was the professionalism. Right from the start we knew the dates of the projects and were kept in constant communication. The work was done well and everyone was very respectful. These weren't huge projects but we were still treated as if we we're an important customer. I would highly recommend them and use them again!
We had 9 windows installed. Overall, the installation went well. Only issue was when the trim was re-installed, there were marks left on my freshly painted walls. I will have to go back and touch them up. For the painting, 2 bedrooms, hallway and stairwell were painted. Again, overall, it was done well; however, we had to repeatedly point out several spots that needed to be 're-prepped' and repainted. Hardwood flooring was installed in a bedroom and hallway. No issues at all with this. The floors look beautiful.
Millenium offers quality work at an affordable price. They are usually good in responding to any issues or questions. You just need to know that since they have different crews, you may not get the same guys for your project.
We have used Millenium for several projects over the past two years and will definitely use them again. No one contractor is perfect, but as long as the end of the project meets your expectations, that contractor deserves to be considered for future projects. Millenium meets this criteria.
Kip and his team transformed our completely unfinished cold and concrete basement into a warm and beautiful multi-room living space that my whole family will enjoy for years to come! Kip patiently worked with my husband and I to come up with the design for our basement. He came up with multiple plans for a space that was to include a large playroom, an adult media area (complete with a gorgeous wet bar), a gym/ fitness room, and a full bathroom. We met and designed the basement over the course of a few weeks in early August. Once we had our plans, we were anxious to get started. Lucky for us, Kip didn't disappoint. Kip gave us a 3 month time-line for the job. The project was to run from mid-September through mid December. Kip sent a team of 3 men, Mike, Dan and Bob to build our basement. Mike was the faithful team leader, and he and his crew remodeled our basement from start to finish. All 3 men were respectful, knowledgeable, and meticulous. They showed up daily, on time, and got right to work. Mike and team were clearly dedicated to our total satisfation of their work. He often asked for our input, and was very communicative and receptive to changes as the project moved along. As promised, our basement was finished right on schedule, and on budget too! We had no surprise expenses or extra costs that weren't expected or discussed ahead of time. We couldn't be happier with our end result, and we look forward to future projects with Kip and Millennium.
We needed a complete gut of the kitchen. We also put new flooring in the living room/dining room. Kip is very reasonable in all his pricing. Our project manager was Greg and his team was Mike, Scott and Mel. I remember a conversation with Kip before hiring him where he told me about how it is not an easy process for him to hire a member of his crew. He can't just hire anyone. It's no wonder he gets good reviews - if his other crews are like who we had. They are very honest, completely trusted them in our home alone. They are hard working - I was here with them for some of the days and I am not sure they even stopped for lunch. Mel stayed one evening until after 6:30 to finish grouting the kitchen floor. My husband was impressed saying that shows she was not in a rush, she took her time and it shows because it came out great. Everything was going smooth and looking great until the peninsula was put in and I felt it was too far into the kitchen. I had a meltdown over it and after Greg, Mike and Scott listening to me, they calmly told me they would figure it out. So they moved it back more into the dining room and not only that, instead of drywall on the back of it, Greg put leftover wood pieces from the cabinet order and it looks fantastic. My husband cannot stop talking about it. Scott has calmed me down over a few things. I thought the microwave above the range was going to stick out too much and he assured me it would be ok, he was right, it looks great. He is very easy to talk to. I drove him crazy with the placement of the handles on the cabinets. He just joked about it. We have had other major projects done and have never been completely satisfied. This crew was very friendly, skilled and knowledgeable. We could not be happier with the kitchen and we will be calling Kip up again in a few years when we do our upstairs bathroom.
Great, the work was done during the day while I was away, the job site was neatly put away when i returned, and it was quickly executed. I even pulled down the cover to make sure it was done properly (after the issues that i had with City Line) and couldn't find any problems.
I am very happy with the work that was performed by Millennium. My mom had a stroke and the bath needed handrails, safety rails and a shower seat installed. We were also in need of additional hand rails installed on three different flights of steps. We had a very short time frame as my mom was just coming out of the hospital. Kip was extremely responsive and was able to complete the project quickly, under budget and to my mother's satisfaction. Kip worked with my mom to assist her in choosing the style and hardware that she was comfortable with. She changed her mind on the color of the bars halfway through the project, and Kip did not miss a beat and was able to keep the project on track. My mom could not stop talking about how great the workers were and how hard they worked. They treated our home as if it were their own. They were courteous , professional, and did a fantastic job. The bathroom looks great and provides my mom the assistance an safety that she needs. The new handrails on the staircase look like they have always been there, the guys were able to get an almost perfect match to the existing rails. I would definitely use Millennium again.
First off, know that with this company you are getting subcontractors. In this case, the subcontractor was great and did quality work. There were some problems/delays that were caused by the Millennium team who was responsible for ordering/delivery, etc.
They started demolition pretty much on the day they started ordering things (tubs, etc.) and so of course there were some things that took longer than expected which caused delays in the work. There were also issues with the wrong items being ordered and delivered which I was thankfully able to flag before installation. This was sort of an odd thing because it happened multiple times and even the subcontractor was scratching his head a bit about this. That was just bad project management and execution on Millennium's side. For these reasons, the overall score dropped to a B.
But, I want to say that I am happy with the end result and the bathrooms look great. There was a lot of good on this project. Darin was helpful in picking out items as that was a bit overwhelming for me and I appreciated that. As I said, the subcontractor did excellent quality work, they were super nice, worked on some Saturdays, put up with our dog, etc. In the end, the quality and look is the most important thing and that was great.
Millennium (Darin) did acknowledge their mishaps and made sure to credit me for the inconveniences. I never felt like he was trying to duck me or take advantage, he was very responsive to all my concerns.
So ya know, good company, but probably needs some close attention by the homeowner so that you catch any mishaps and flag any issues. I suppose this is typical of a construction project.
Regarding the use of subs, I would imagine you could have varying quality this way. Our guys were Jerry and Chris and they were great.

There were no issues with the repair. Vinnie from Millenium was terrific. No problem with communication or the overall job. Worksite was left clean and organized each day. Job was completed within estimated time even with the extra damage revealed after job was begun. I was impressed with the overall result and would definitely hire this company in the future if needed. Vinnie was very accommodating seeing that there were two small dogs here while the work was being done and family was at work. Hats off to Vinny! The following were
This company is extremely honest, hard working, and reasonable in price. I contaced Millenium Remodeling because I had a leaky shower that was leaking into the kitchen ceiling causing water damage. I also wanted to get a couple of other home improvement projects done around the house as well. I had contaced a couple of other contractors to get an estimate about the leaky shower and everyone had told me that I would have to rip out the entire shower and replace it because they would not know where the source of the leak was coming from. Also, everyone told me that I would have to call a handy man to get all the other projects done. I was confused because the other contractors advertised that no project is too small. So, when Darin from Millenium arrived to my house and looked at my shower and said that it was a simpe fix and I did not have to tear out my entire shower, I was pleased. I was even more pleased that they said they could also do the other projects. Mike and Dan who were the main people who worked on my home, were awesome! They were respectful of my home and always left my home clean with little or no mess at all everyday. The two would engage in my 10 month daughter and she loved it. The leaky shower gave Mike and his team a run for the money. The shower continued to leaky, after stripping all the caulk, removing the shower doors, cleaning the entire shower, and re-caulking. Mike spent many days figuring out where the source of the leak was coming from, but he never gave up, which is something that I like when hiring people. Mike finally figured the source of the leak in the shower and it has never leaked since then. The other thing that I really loved about this company was that they would ask to come in on saturdays or days that they were not scheduled to come to finish up a project, so that I would not have a missing bedroom door or not having outlet covers on my tile backsplash that is waiting for the mastic to dry. I would definitely use this company in the future for any additional home improvement projects that I may have.
From initial meeting Kip was personable, professional and thorough when explaining the scope of work he would complete. Kip introduced me to the crew that would be working in my home and took the time for me to ask questions, express concerns etc. Over the course of the work completed, Kip and his workers was able to identify and rectify sources of water I have been experiencing over the last year. They took an entire Saturday to diagnose the issue when previous contractors would maybe look for a few minutes or an hour. Several other contractors/water proofing specialists were unable to fix this problem and I was beginning to think it would never be resolved. Kip and his crew also helped out with small projects that were encountered while they were working on my home. I am extremely satisfied and very grateful for Kip and his crew for being able to finally put an end to an ongoing issue I was struggling with for over a year. I would refer Kip to anyone who is looking for an honest, dependable and hardworking contractor.
I spoke with Kip about our needs and scheduled a time for one of the contractors to give us an estimate. I can't remember the name of the first gentleman ( that came out to give the quote( but he was very nice and professional. He recommended replacing the gasket as it was rotting. He suggested that we wait a couple of days after the gasket was replaced to make sure there were no other leaks. The work was scheduled and Scott came out to fix the gasket.
The company stayed in touch thru email and phone to make sure that the leak was fixed. At that point we scheduled our ceiling repair. Scott did a very professional job. Even though the ceiling was cut, speckled, and painted (using the paint we had from previously), you cannot tell that anything has been done. It look and blends perfectly.
I am very happy with this company and have already added them to my contacts for our next big project.

We met with several contractors before hiring Kip. We found his creative approach to the space very helpful and his price (particularly for the quality of work) was excellent.

Kip came out to the house and did a 3D autodesign, went shopping with us to pick out the materials we wanted, and was very insightful and creative in looking at our space and re-configuring it in a way we hadn't thought of before.

He and his crew (Dan, Kris and a few others whose names I didn't get) were very friendly and considerate to the fact that we had a baby in the house and needed to be alerted to days when loud noises would be disruptive. We found them all knowledgeable, professional, and eager to provide a great finished project.

We are very happy with the work they did. There was a slight delay when the windows that arrived were the wrong kind, but they contacted the vendor and the issue was resolved quickly.

Timeline projected was 6 weeks for the work and they completed it in less than a month!

UPDATE: We brought this team in do some finishing touches in the basement. We also had a couple of minor issues pop up after service was complete. We are delighted that Kip remains responsive when minor things pop up. We highly recommend this team and will use them again.

We are delighted with the renovation and use the space all the time. We remain very happy with our decisions and Kip's layout/remodel.
