Owner Operated - 30 years construction. Moved to Rankin County in 1993. We have an interior designer on staff to assist with color selections, light fixtures, plumbing fixtures, furniture layout, appliances, and tile at no additional cost to the customer. Exceptional quality on every job. Architect assistance for drawing a home specifically for customer's lifestyle. Pre purchase lot/land evaluation - site prep fpr a 3,500' home can vary from $3,000 up to $30,000 or more depending on soil quality. It is very important to contact Tony before buying land or drawing home plans. I can save customers tens of thousands of dollars on their new home just by changing a few details on how it is drawn, which is not the architect's job. We are also licensed, bonded, and insured.

It went very well. He did a great job. The house looks great. Tony kept us informed on his progress as we live out of town. He delivered on all agreed upon services. He was timely. We were pleased with date he projected he would be able to complete the work. He is knowledgeable of his craft. We would highly recommend him to friends and family and have already done so.

Our home is 41 years old and we have wanted to cover our patio for years. We never could figure out how to do it because of the way the original roof line is configured. We contacted a contractor on Angie's list but he couldn't get to us for several months. We asked if he would recommend someone and he gave us Tony Mills' name and number. We consulted with Tony and he came out and took a look at our situation and we discussed different options. He then brought his framer by and together they designed a roof to cover the patio that upon completion looks like it is original to the house. There were several issues which had to be dealt with; not the least of which was a chimney which diverted water to the wrong place for our new cover. But that was taken care of by some more design work. They really did a great job. Next came the actual building of the cover. The workmen were nothing short of artists with a saw and nail gun and paintbrush and roller. No kidding! We love our new patio cover and could not be happier with Mills Family Properties. The next time we have a job that needs doing, we will definitely call Tony.

I am an architect and have extremely high expectations for the work performed by the contractors I hire. It is safe to say that Tony exceeded my every expectation. Although the fact that I am out of state caused a number of difficulties (including communication, and payment, among others), Tony was more than happy to work with me to help get a messy situation (i.e. the rental house) on the road to resolution. <br /> After discussing the scope of the work over the phone, Tony visited the property and sent me an estimate the next day. Although the project took longer than the anticipated 3-4 days, it was well worth the wait, as the work performed was exceptional. Tony's work ethic is exemplary, and he refused to cut corners in order to speed up the job, even though it meant losing money on his end. Although my budget was very tight and I explained to him that I wanted to keep costs down as much as possible, in the end, he did MORE work than was originally on the contract. That's just the kind of guy he is. <br /> Tony was very good about keeping me informed about the progress at the house, and kept me in the loop any time an issue arose, but also did not bombard me with calls (which I appreciated). He was very responsive to calls, emails, and texts, something this busy lady appreciates as well. <br /> Tony very patiently endured communicating with my pushy realtor in order to fulfill some of her repair requests as well-- another complication of my being out of state. Tony was very professional about it though, and always called to confirm with me (his client) before performing any work requested by my realtor. <br /> When the project was completed, Tony sent a number of "after" photos, which were great, since I obviously wasn't able to see the house in person. Tony gave me referrals to a painter and a house-cleaner, both of which I ended up hiring, and both of which did fantastic work. <br /> Tony's an upstanding fellow and a fine contractor. Do yourself a favor and hire him.

We called Mr. Mills after seeing the great reviews on Angie's list. He was very professional, honest, and straight forward, which is what you need after suffering a lost such as a house fire. He was always on time for our meetings and answered his phone everytime we called...he even knew who we were when we called! Needless to say our comfort level was A-1 with Mr. Mills. We ended up not rebuilding that house, but would definitely use Mr. Mills on any other contracted project in the future. He was the only contractor that was upfront and honest from day one and for that we are thankful.

It couldn't have gone more fabulously. Tony guided us through the process of picking out everything we needed and stayed within budget. He brought in the tile guy and the granite fabricator - all were wonderful to work with. Everyone was very professional, they showed up when they said they would be there and the job was completed on schedule. We were thrilled with the results and would definitely contact Mills Family Properties for our next home renovation project!

My wife and I have built two houses in the Brandon area and Tony has built both of them for us. As new homebuilders in 2008/2009 his knowledge and experience was a great resource, and the horror stories you hear from people about building houses certainly did not apply to our situation. He did such a great job building the house and it looked so great that when we decided to move from Reservoir Brandon to South Brandon we put the house on the market on Friday and we had an accepted offer on Monday!! This was in June 2011, so the housing market was still pretty tight, so it was definitely a miraculous result! <br /> We had such a great time building the first time, when we started thinking of building our second house in September 2011 Tony was our first call. Again, we had a great experience and we are living happily in our dream home! The only sad thing about that is we won't be building any more houses!! <br /> Tony has become a friend to our family as he also built my wife's parents house which is next door to our house. He is always willing to help and goes the extra mile to satisfy his customers. It is always a pleasure to deal with Christian businessmen that let their personal beliefs and genuine integrity show through in how they do business. This is very true in Tony's case and I can guarantee he will go any length to ensure your satisfaction. Y'all ask him to bring you by our house if you want to see the results! <br />

After looking for a home to buy in 2008 I could not find what I wanted. I then decided to buy a lot and build. I had never built a home before and was very reluctant to do so because of the horrors I had heard from others that built. I was told the key was to find the right builder. I purchased a lot and had plans drawn for the house I wanted (on my own) and then took them to several builders. The prices were much higher than I anticipated. When I met with Tony Mills of Mills Family Properties, he explained why the estimates were so high and recommended that I have the plans revised. He was very up front with me and unapologetic for his recommendations. I followed his advise, making the chages he recommended. Together, we got the price in the range I expected while still getting the house I wanted. I then employed Tony to construct the house. Tony laid out a very specific budget for me before starting construction and explained what that estimate included. He then began construction. All along the way he would visit with me about the budget and carefully explained what was coming so I would stay on budget. When I asked him for something additional, he never said it could not be done, he explained what was needed and what additional cost I would incur. Sometimes I made the changes, sometimes I did not. It took approximately six months for him to complete the house and at no time did we sit idle waiting for work to be done. He was always on top of the work and what was coming next. He had his subs lined up and kept me posted on what I needed to do next. I found Tony to be very direct with me about what he could and could not do and never had to apologize for the work that was done. I like the fact that he did not "blow smoke" and deliver something that he did not promise. The end result was me getting the house of my dreams, excellently constructed at a price that I could afford. The craftsmanship was excellent and I have a gorgeous home...just ask my friends. Tony went to great lengths to make sure the I got the home I WANTED, not something he forced on me. He was careful to find out my wishes, give his advise and then do the work. I WOULD NOT HESITATE TO BUILD ANOTHER HOUSE USING MILLS FAMILY PROPERTIES. <br /> <br /> <br />

I have to give a lot of credit to my interior design girl Kathi who did such an incredible job selecting colors, sinks, faucets, granite, tile.....
