Mini Moves came 3 times to move furniture while our floors were being sanded. They were always on time, careful with our furniture (and newly refinished floors), very helpful and really pleasant to work with. The office was also easy to work with and responsive to any questions. I will definitely use them any time I need furniture moved, and highly recommend them.

Great. Sean from Straight Shooters informed me he only uses Greg from Mini Moves for all his moving needs. He was right. Greg is very professional and was able to help me move a very heavy vanity from storage to our house for our bathroom remodel.

Moving went very well. Dave and his crew of three others, Peter, Andrew and Dave, all worked very hard and efficiently and with professionalism and care, to move all of our household furniture and other items from our house to a new home. Given the amount to be moved we chose to have it done over two days. The first day was moving from our old home to our new one. They chose to work without taking a lunch break in order to finish the moving quicker, which we greatly appreciated. The second day they moved some remaining items from our home to a storage facility. Overall we were very pleased with their work ethic and attitude.

Movers came (only 2 of 3 planned) yet they did all needed work within requested timeframe. We plan to work with them when we do our big move later this summer

The folks showed up on time, were polite, careful, creative and overall a pleasure to work with. This was the best move we've had. Highly recommended

Absolutely perfect. I need to thank all those members that gave A reviews. You were so right. George responded immediately to my call and set up a time to move my items. He gave me a reasonable estimate and explained the pricing. I was moving a very heavy antique wood stove, estimated to weigh at least 450 pounds. The movers arrived exactly on time, were incredibly professional and pleasant. They got that wood stove out in no time. DId I mention that they had to take it down a flight of stairs, 14 steps and out the front door down 4 more steps. They also moved a stacking washer/ dryer, patio tables,and a dresser. They drove the stuff to the Cape where my brother was equally impressed with their work. They worked so efficiently that they were well under the estimated time and my bill was so much less than the very reasonable quote. I really could not be happier! And this is from someone who has a minivan and never likes to pay to move anything. I highly recommend MiniMoves and more.

The Mini Moves team was prompt, professional, friendly, thorough, and efficient. And most important of all - careful with and respectful of our stuff. We've had some terrible moves with other movers. This was the first one I was not stressed about at all. They carefully readjusted the height/legs of one of the beds and were very careful with the most delicate piece of furniture we have. They also called a couple times to confirm (once was a reschedule which was OK, once to ask me if I'd like them to come earlier in that day - I didn't, so they didn't.) Price was reasonable. I would happily hire them again for a bigger move as well as a small.

It went super. Called Friday afternoon and the cabinet was moved later in the day. This company is courteous and professional and very reasonable rates. I will not hesitate to call Mini Moves again.

The experience was terrific.  The 3-member team was polite, professional, energetic, and well-organized.  They worked continuously from start to finish, wrapping all furniture in blankets for protection.  <br /> I was extremely impressed by their teamwork.  They obviously made a game plan and followed it to the letter.  They packed up about 70 boxes of very heavy books and lots of big and ungainly furniture in record time.   <br /> At the new office they unloaded everything, putting it where I thought I wanted it and then willingly moved it again when I changed my mind.   <br /> Although I don't look forward to moving again, I would certainly use Mini Movers and would recommend them without hesitation. <br /> Thanks George and the team. <br />

Everyone I spoke with at the company was helpful. They were good about explaining their rates, and gave me a reminder call the day before.  <br /> The morning of the move, I met Steve and Dave at the storage facility. They arrived at 8:10am and went right to work. The storage unit held a *lot* of heavy boxes! Also some pieces of furniture and other odds & ends. It took several hours just to get all the boxes etc moved out of the storage unit and into their truck. <br /> Once at the house, most of it went into the basement, so a lot of carrying from the truck through a bulkhead and down a short set of stairs, and then me trying to figure out where to put everything. A few things, including a couch, went up to the 3rd floor. <br /> Steve and Dave were professional and good-natured during the whole process. The move wound up taking longer than anticipated, but they made sure that everything was done to my satisfaction before they left.  <br /> I didn't put an amount in the "cost of service" section of this review, because I don't have their invoice in front of me and I don't remember the total, but it seemed quite reasonable for all the work they did. <br /> I would certainly hire them again. <br />

It was great. It was my fault they did not do my attic but they were professional, punctual, friendly, and courteous.

I was very impressed with this company.  Someone called to confirm the job the day before.  We planned this move about a week ahead.  Ryan and Max were on time in picking up my furniture on Cape Cod and verified that they had everything over the phone with me, since I was already in Cambridge.  They spent two hours doing heavy lifting once they arrived in the city two hours later.  Not one scratch did they make, and there were two staircases involves with some tight turns in my old Victorian.  Once the furniture that had been jammed into the top floor was redistributed on other floors and in the basement, the men carried in the furniture from Cape Cod.  They installed two beds and asked if I needed help with a third.  I said yes, so they set the third bed frame up for me. They worked nonstop carrying furniture for two hours.  They were friendly and asked whether there was anything else they could help with once the job was done. The only reason I gave the company a B for price is that $1050 is a lot for my budget, but I realize there was the use of their truck, and gas, which was not necessary the last time I hired them, and it was the charge for 7.5 hours of work at $120 an hour, with two men working.  The truck was an additional $150. I was able to use the $50 off from Angieslist and learned for the future that the coupon should be printed out.  I was very grateful that Mini Moves and More made my move hassle-free.  I would hire them again in a minute.

They were okay. The move went fine. They were supposed to call us when they were leaving. They didn’t call us as they were leaving to come here and they called us when they were in-route which made it hard – since I was paying by the hour – to know how long it actually took for them to get from one point to another point. That was an annoyance. When I talked to the woman from where they were coming from, it wasn’t quite what they had said in terms of time – I think they stopped for lunch. They were late. Besides this it went fine.

<p>In general, Mini Move did a good job moving and the 3 movers were great though I was disappointed by the follow-up issue/question that I had.</p> <p>We were simultaneously selling and buying houses and there is a small gap between the closing of the old house and the closing of the new house.  I talked to a number of movers and some would charge us $250 a day just to store our belongings on the truck while others would charge us a one time fee of approx. $250 for storage while they would remove our belongings from their truck and reload it on delivery day (i.e. it becomes 2 moves).  Mini Move suggested that I rented a truck from Budget myself and it would be significantly cheaper and we just hired them for moving stuffs into the truck and out of the truck.  I told them that I am not comfortable driving a 24 ft truck and they even volunteered to pick-up and drop-off the truck for us.</p> <p>Mini Moves' owner (Greg) then came over and gave us an estimate and he told us that all packing materials would be included (vs. other movers charge approx. $100 to $200).  I made a reservation with Budget and it was estimated to be $500 or so (including truck rental, insurance and taxes).  The move went smoothly, kudos to the 3 movers ... they were professional and they were fast.  </p> <p>Then ... a few  days later, the charge from Budget came through my credit card and it was $800+ (i.e. $300 more than estimate) and I called them to figure out why.  They said that I was charged $264 for moving pads, which I didn't reserve for.  I called Mini Moves and their associate (George) told me that he would talk to Greg and figure out if the movers had use Budget's or Mini Moves' moving pads.  He said that it cost $5 per pad rental at Mini Moves (since the move is overnight; otherwise, it's free) ... and obviously, I was surprised since it was not in the estimate and that was the first time I heard about the pad rental, especially, Greg said that all materials are included.  It has been over a week, I still have yet to receive any call from Mini Moves.  I assume they are just going to let it go.  In my mind, I am fine being charged for the pad rentals as long as I was told upfront. Now, I am just disappointed that they did not call and explain exactly what happened.  Also, if it was their screw-up, would it make sense for them to pay for at least some of the pad rentals (e.g. 50/50 split)?</p> <p>Long story short ... my savings from Budget truck rental was pretty much offset by the cost of pad rental and I could easily have hired another mover for the same cost without having to deal with the truck rental company separately.  </p> <br />

I was surprised they worked the Columbus Day Holiday, arrived as agreed, in fact were a bit early.  Owner Greg and helper Eddie arrived did a walk through to see what I wanted moved and where it was going.  Renovations were going to be done, painting and flooring, the bedrooms needed to be emptied so the contractor could work.  Moving was seamless and all was done in a short period of time.  Professional and efficient movers.  They were careful with it all and I was completely happy with them.  I will re-hire them to put the pieces back into the rooms when the work is done.  I am thrilled it was so easy and at a totally reasonable cost. <br />

Dave and Max worked fast and efficiently.  I was impressed.  The price was reasonable for two people for one hour.  I would definitely hire them again. <br />

I used Mini Moves when I moved out of my condo. I had quite a lot of heavy furniture. The two movers were fast and efficient and extremely nice. They were thoughtful about how they wrapped and carried my furniture and put the furniture into my new apartment where I needed it to go. The price was also reasonable. I will definitely use them again. Great Service and just really nice people!! <br />
