We had an excellent experience with Misha on our family room addition. From start to finish, they were professional, communicative, and extremely helpful—especially when it came to navigating the permitting process, which they handled smoothly and efficiently. The project was completed in about 90 days, right on schedule, and the quality of the workmanship exceeded our expectations. The team was organized, respectful of our home, and attentive to details throughout the entire build. We’re very happy with the final result and would highly recommend them to anyone considering a home addition or major renovation.

After having gone through four contractors who made big promises of written estimates which never materialized, my expectations of this company were pretty low. But when I reached out to Misha's Home Improvement I received a prompt and courteous reply. We made an appointment to meet at my house. Misha arrived at the appointed time (to which I arrived late) he walked up to meet me, holding a clipboard and measuring tape in hand. We shook hands and I realized right away that I was dealing with someone of a higher caliber. When we walked through the house I stated my requirements only partially whereupon Misha offered ideas and options. Every room. Methodically. Misha took measurements and we parted company. I had no appreciation for how much information he was taking in during our visit. A few days later a detailed estimate landed in my inbox. Room by room. Item by item with materials and labor costs and a detailed drawing of the entire layout of the home with precise measurements. No BS. I was impressed. We agreed upon a start date and a pattern emerged. This guy and his extraordinary team of guys came to the house every day (sometimes on weekends) and proceeded to embark on a Whole House renovation. Craftsmen all. Courteous and respectful to a man. Windows, bathroom reno, kitchen reno, recessed lighting. wiring fixes with attention to code, basement tile, patio doors, drywall repair, custom closets. Change orders written and agreed upon - in advance. No surprises in our agreements or fees. In fact, where warranted Misha refunded me for materialis/labor that were not needed. Misha and the guys have completed the job and I have to say that I will truly miss them. True craftsmen. I will absolutely recommend this company of men and the man who runs this enterprise. I got very very lucky.

Installed new windows throughout the house, including enlarging existing windows to make them larger for better lighting. 2. Put in a floor heating system and new floor tiles throughout the house. 3. Removed a wall between the kitchen and living room opening up the space and modernizing it. 4. Turned our porch into a four seasons room. 5. Installed a full wall customized built-in unit in the living room. 6. Created a new customized kitchen island with granite countertop. 7. Installed new kitchen cabinets with granite countertops. 8. Combined two existing bedroom closets to make one customized huge walk-in closet. 9. Installed recessed lighting and ceiling fans in all bedrooms. 10. Remodeled both bathrooms including new flooring, fans, tile work, toilets, vanities and built a brand new master shower. 11. Painted the interior of the house. 12. Updated the exterior of the house with placing stucco over existing bricks and installed new front door, back door, shutters, and exterior lighting. Their prices were very reasonable in comparison with other area contractors. We cannot recommend them highly enough!

I hired Misha's Home Improvement to completely remodel the first floor of a small ranch house I bought in Edgewater MD and add a second story addition which includes three additional bedrooms with three bathrooms. The company is very professional and worked continuously until project completion. The final product is excellent!!! There was some small issues that came up during the construction, which I believe happens in almost every construction project, large or small, but Misha addressed them right away on the same day that I mentioned them. The crew didn't speak much English but they were all very courteous and respectful. Also Misha was always available and responsive to deal with the issue and direct his crew. Also, the price was reasonable. It took one year to complete the entire house and I watched the progress closely. I was present in every county progress and final inspection with the framing, exterior and roofing, plumbing, electrical and HVAC and even the inspectors made positive comments about the quality of the work. I am very satisfied with the completion of the work and I highly recommend this company.

I had water leaking between the sunroom and family room via the doorway. I had pay extra given the fact that this problem was years old and there was substantial wood rot. The result? New siding, new sun roof tiles as well as patial sunroom roof replacement. The workers were very professional even though communication was difficult since they were Georgian but it was a pleasure trying to communicate with them as well as having them fix my house. I highly recommend them. Thank you Mr. Vayshelboyn and workers!!!!

We are very happy with the work completed by Misha's Home Improvement. Everything went smoothly and workers were coming every day on time. The quality of workmanship was excellent. We recommend this company and would hire again.

Misha is very easy to work with, however his crew would be easier to deal with if they spoke more English.

They did my entire kitchen and they did other projects in my house before that. Very good quality & craftsmanship also good customer service and they went the extra mile for me. They also cleaned up VERY WELL after getting the job done!

We hired this company to remodel our bathroom, and early on decided to include other rooms in the project, which turned out to be a devastating experience. They caused a water leak from the second floor bathroom to the first floor, which damaged the ceiling downstairs; the tiling and grout in the bathroom was installed extremely uneven and crooked; they cracked the toilet sewage waste pipe while trying to uninstall the old flange; they installed a fractured joint for the new shower plumbing; and they used an older technology that most other contractors (that we've talked to to fix everything) no longer use to finish the shower pan. And that was just the bathroom!! In the other rooms, they damaged the doors while trying to install new door hinges and painted them with the wrong type of paint, the paint is peeling off on every door (not even two months after they were painted). The crew installed new ceiling lights (which we now have to pull a permit for ourselves since the contractor "didn't plan on doing it")(also they are an older canister style fixture that is still produced but not the most modern thing; they don't sit flush with the ceiling) that are not properly secured to the ceiling, so they pose a falling hazard, PLUS the crew removed the cases from each light fixture where the wires are supposed to be protected, so now there are exposed, very lightly protected wires that pose a fire hazard if their coating gets sheered (which is apparently pretty easy to do since the wires aren't properly protected), PLUS they failed to staple the wires down (despite repeated reassurances from the contractor that they had) which only exacerbates the previous issue of a potential fire hazard. In addition to the craftsmanship concerns, the contractor's crew was ultimately very unprofessional. They sat a heavy saw down on hardwood floor in one of the bedrooms and operated it there, causing noticeable scratches to the floor; they smoked indoors without any sort of permission; they threw cigarette butts in the driveway, street and flowerbed in front of the house; they used our personal gardening tools to mix concrete and then failed to wash the concrete off properly; they poured excess concrete next to the side of the house (where it solidified on the grass).

The renovation went very well. It was an extensive project renovating the existing home (down to the studs, new HVAC, siding, windows, roof, new kitchen, 3 new baths, etc) plus adding an addition that is now our master bedroom, laundry room, and master bath area. Misha was punctual, professional, and kind. Our project took 7 months-longer than we had planned for but 90% of the delays were caused by the city requiring additional work and waiting for them to come out and inspect. I highly recommend Misha for your home improvement project!

The basement came out nice and I am happy with result. Communication was very good, had lots of opportunities to talk about all the details throughout the course of the work. Was given good advice.

It went very well. Arrived to complete measurements then came back with a quote. He was extremely detailed, very professional including the staff and completed excellent work.

Fine. There were a couple of places next to the fireplace that required some touch-up painting which I did after the job was completed, Some places on the edge of the enclosure where the AC duct is located have shown areas where additional paint is needed to cover up the edges. The workers who did the job were very professional and hard-working.
