I am completely shocked with the customer service and lack of follow through that Mister Sparky has had with my husband and I. They did in an email near the VERY END of it say we would have to pay $59 for them to come to my house. I would have said no, however, I took responsibility, I didn't read the whole thing. I paid it because I really liked the man who was going to do the work. He was wonderful. I was promised the $59 would go to the cost of the job. Not to mention the lady on the phone was completely rude, "Can you not read?" SERIOUSLY?? We received an estimate on Thursday last week with a final number, no line items of the work being done or the products we would be paying for or what the labor would cost. We have had lots of work done however, we have never had this. I asked for the line items list shortly after I received it, they said they would give it to me Friday, never got it. Monday morning, I am told the same deal get it to you later today. Nothing. When I asked to speak to a manager I was told, they have to call me back a more important job was on the line and she was on the phone with them. I get it, it is not about me and the past weekend was a holiday. However, you want me to spend $3000 on you and you cannot follow through???? Doesn't seem like a smart business practice. I did ask and request for my $59 back we will see if I get a response. I was going to move forward with the job the next day if they had gotten me the requested line item list which should be easy to do considering I already had a total they wanted me to pay.

He did good work but I think he was pushing to make me buy more stuff. I don't like to be pushed like that. First of all, he said he could not give me an estimate right away. I had to pick what service I want before I got the price and I thought that was wrong. They came right on time.

I felt totally ripped off - classic bait and switch! They made me pay $59 to come to my house, Once there they said it would be an ADDITIONAL $491 to isolate if the issue was due to loss of AC power or due to fault in the doorbell appliance (transformer and chime). Mind you, the $491 was not to fix or replace anything - this is what they wanted me to pay to put leads on the wires and check for current. The tech said (paraphrased), "This is how the owner does business and he has been in business for a long time so it must be OK." He was late to the appointment with no advance notice. He really could not have cared less. I did not get anything in writing and got no receipt for my $59 payment. Beware.

We are up front with the cost of our dispatch service fee to get our technician coming prepared to correct the issue at hand within a guaranteed time frame. All companies have a travel fee to pay for labor, fuel, insurance, etc. We arrived within our guaranteed time frame of 10:00 - [Member Information Removed]:00 at 12:55 giving you notice before our tech was dispatched to you. Our technician was not late and you did have advance notice. We use truck tracking on our vehicles to ensure accuracy of reporting. Once onsite he gave you several options for trouble shooting the issue which included minor repairs. A receipt was sent to you automatically to the email you provided at the time of booking your appointment. igb____. When, I noticed that the backyard light wasn't working, I contacted Mr. Sparkey and they reinstalled a new one without an extra charge since it was during the warranty period.  <br /> It all went very well. <br /> I will use them for other electrical work in the house in the future <br />

Our chandelier malfunctioned and stopped working altogether. We had several opinions, but this electrician appeared to know what they were doing. They arrived and removed the chandelier and immediately identified the issue. For a little extra cost, they ordered a new part which arrived in a few days. They returned and completed the work. This saved us hundreds of dollars instead of buying a new chandelier. We would definitely use them again. <br />

Milton was great. <br /> the light in my closet was so dim i couldn't tell my black, brown, and navy slacks from one another.  I bought a new fixture on line.  Milton installed it, no problem.  I had a lamp that stopped working and imagined it had to be rewired.  Milton turned the switch and sure enough it didn't go on.  Then he tested a bit more and handed me a part -- the little black switch one turns.  He said the threads were bare and sent me to the hardware store.   Sure enough, when I brought the new one home the light was fine.  <br /> Milton also said that next time I should save my Angie's list ticket until I needed more work done.  Sweet advice, but everything I needed fixed was fixed, I have no problems. <br />

My mother, having a story on television about the company, suggested that we utilize the services of this company for our electrician needs.  This turned out to be a mistake.  The rep charged us $160.00 for changing a burnt out breaker that took him less than 10 minutes to change.  I would have done it myself had I not been concerned how doing so might affect our insurance. <br />

They did a fine job with putting in new lights, changing fixtures and putting in new electrical outlets too. They completed the work one day and it was a technician and one helper. This was a lot of work that needed to be done.

However since it was 8 months between when the work was done and your review, it appears some of the facts have become distorted. You claim we played with the price. Our prices are printed in a price book and the invoice clearly shows what the price was going to be before the work was done. You agreed with the cost of doing the work before it was started and signed the work order. We did more work then you stated in your review. We installed a ceiling fan and the fixture on the fan; we also replaced a light switch by the front door and installed a new light fixture at your front door. While our techs were there they also did a 55 point electrical safety inspection. You gave us a C on punctuality when we where exactly on time, you gave us a C on responsiveness when we answered your call and scheduled the work for the day you requested. The D on professionalism and F on price to seem to reflect that because we aren’t cheap we also aren’t professional. We had a couple of outlet covers replaced, an outlet and its wiring replaced, and another outlet reconnected/repaired. Service was outstanding, but seemed incredibly expensive compared to other services I've used in the past. However, they were quick, thorough, professional, polite, and timely. I said I wouldn't use this service again, but only because I wasn't given the option of "maybe." I would definitely compare prices before doing more work with this company in the future, but this is my only gripe. They were otherwise really stellar.
