Mister Sparky of Clear Lake

Mister Sparky, John Tornabene, did an outstanding job removing existing lights and installing 3 new pendant lights and a chandelier along with 2 new dimmer switches. Great workmanship and left the job site clean when the job was completed.

All aspects of the work were excellent. I was extremely happy with the results for the new outlet. I highly recommend them for any electrical needs.

The service was prompt and professional. The service recommended was explained in a way a homeowner can understand.

Needed a Tesla wall charger installed at home. I received a few quotes from the companies recommended on the Tesla site. They were either trying to skip steps (not get City permit) or upcharge me for equipment I didn’t need or tell me I needed a new breaker box without full understanding of the load. I then had John from Mr Sparky show up. I didn’t need any of the extras the other companies were trying to upsell me for and he got the charger installed no problem at a fair price. They are trustworthy and do good work. I will use them again for my electrical needs.

Real well; the technician checked the entire attic removing unnecessary wire and checked all connecting boxes.

Jake and Blake came out to install our EV charger and when I asked how long the job could take, Jake said about 3-4 hours on average but wouldn’t you know, Jake and Blake were finished in about 2.5 hours. During the install, Jake pointed out something in our circuit breaker box that didn’t necessarily need attention but he took care of the potential issue for us, which we appreciated because he explained it could potentially be a safety concern. Overall the job was clean and there were no holes or conduit that needed to be done as other companies and contractors I contacted said that there could be a decent size hole that needed to be patched and painted or that conduit may need to be installed. Jake assured me that the hole he would make would be about an inch wide and no conduit would be needed. 10 out of 10 would recommend Mister Sparky and if you can, ask for Jake and Blake. Also, shoutout to Rita for being so communicative when setting up the initial inspection and the appointment.

The guys were great and very knowledgeable. I do think it is important to inform the client of the prices before commencing the work. It was a surprise to get hit with an almost $400 bill after the work was done especially if the initial problem was resolved before they arrived. They ended up changing out some outlets which I agreed needed to be done, however, it didn't resolve the issue like they stated at first and had to come back and the issue ended up being a gfi outlet. I agree with the work, but it would have been nice to discuss it beforehand and not be surprised with a massive bill at the end.

Jake, the service representative, was very polite and his knowledge in diagnosing the problem and was very professional. Jake is welcome back anytime. Top notch service all the way around!
