I was feeling a bit stressed about moving items from my one bedroom apartment from a storage unit into my new place. But Mike put me at ease the moment he started talking. I was able to book a next day job for hundreds less than another quote I got. And the movers, Tyquan and Jordan, showed up in the time window promised and were courteous. And efficient too: they knocked out the loading in 30 minutes and the complete job was done in the time estimated and I paid exactly what I was quoted. I will DEFINITELY be using MJC Movers again for a future move.

Based on my personal experience, along with similar concerns noted in other reviews, this company appears to take advantage of customers with larger moves. Clients are advised that a certain number of movers will be assigned; however, one mover intentionally worked at an extremely slow pace, which significantly extended the move time and increased the overall cost. I have video documentation showing the unprofessional behavior and the deliberate delays. The mover also stated he was following company direction. This business should be removed from the platform, as continuing to list them contributes to customers being financially taken advantage of. I will never use this company again, and I am strongly reconsidering using Angie List for recommendations if they remain listed. I had originally recommended them to my mother, but after witnessing my experience, she canceled her scheduled move the following week.

quoted for 3 hours, for $560 with $100 then got there and said 1 more hour, moved very slowly ended up at $1032.00, kept raising price and held furniture on truck ended up 1132.00, and put furniture in wrong place, in lower floor, never met such horrible people.

Great team! From the beginning to the end, the process was superb! My initial contact was with Ben and he stayed with us thru the entire move. We started over 6 months prior to the actual move due to construction delays. When the time came for the move, the team did an excellent job. Moving heavy furniture, disassembling and reassembling beds, and placing all items within the appropriate areas. Our items were packed well and covered by the team. There were only minor dents and dings (much less than i expected for this type of move!). Shout out to the moving team (if i get the spelling wrong I apologize, as I working from memory): Alejandro, Aseil, Jordan, Tumari, Davion, and Jaron! Thanks for a great experience and the price was great also!!!

The workers were amazing. It was very smooth to set up. They kept me informed. They made sure everything was placed where I needed. They put together everything that they dismantled during the move. The only issue that i had was with the manager. Having to deal with him to handle payment was unpleasant. He's a rude jerk that should be fired.

prices were great to get you in the door. crew was professional and kind. however maybe i'm just spoiled by others in the past. but this company does not disassembled any furniture. in doing so they broke two twin beds of my kids by trying to carry them. down stairs still put together. they only moved certain furniture. items i had originally quoted were not moved or touched bc they don't take things apart. maybe that's why prices are so cheap. but you'll get what you pay for. it's costs me more money after the fact with time and rent bc my furniture was still in the home i was moving out of even with their service. the last hour of them loading the truck. it took an hour to move 2 mirrors and a desk. i will say i ran into a situation at the storage unit once. we arrived and the crew was kind enough to take some money off. because it took longer than expected and my situation was unexpected so i appreciate them working with me on that. but i just expected things done per discussed

Movers did not move the requested items. Charged me the full amount anyways and claimed it was because I had signed the contract. Shady business people exploiting contracts. Told me that the contract was the show proof they came. Cannot trust, cannot recommend.

The customer service was great and the movers were efficient and finished ahead of schedule.

This company sent 2 men who destroyed my home! My leather sofa is ripped. My newly installed wood floor is scratched and dented. My wall is scratched. My expensive dining room table is broken with screws and a plastic piece falling out. My stairs are scratched. The 2 men they sent did not come with the proper equipment. They did not have a power drill, a commercial dolly, or the strength to do this job without tearing up my house. It will cost me a lot of money to fix this. The supervisor, Mike, was continuously calling them throughout the entire job. He was more concerned about the start time and money received than delivering a quality product. My kindness was taken for weakness and my home was destroyed. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! BEWARE!

They worked fast. However, kept an expensive mirror, broke another mirror, scratched the hardwood and left dents in the drywall of the stairway.

They were horrible to work with and tried to scam us. I paid a $104 deposit and they let us know the move would take for three hours. They quoted $504 for the three hours of moving. After working for approximately an hour (where they moved the larger items but did not put them back together such as the bed frame and headboard), they disappeared for severally finally showed up at 7pm after disappearing for three hours. During this time my food also spoiled as they had said they were on their way and then disappeared. When they returned they threatened to not move the rest of the items and to take my belongings to their storage facility. They got the police involved and so I had to get the police involved as well to ensure my belongings were not taken. They claimed they worked for seven hours, which was not the case and they claimed elevators were not working, which was also not the case.

Tried to keep property owner called police 4 hours of work not accounted for my 73 year old mother is in the hospital the police allowed us to unload my Mom's property they tried to force us to sign for additional hours we never agreed to her food spoiled they didn't take a real night mare one small box truck we paid 3 additional ppl from the neighborhood while the lead watched not helping at all his boss told him to drive off with property so they could complete the rip off. Worst experience ever my Mom was supposed to close due to this experience she has been admitted to the hospital and items that should have been moved sitting in her home.

We had the pleasure of hiring three, of MJC’s finest, kindest, and most considerate movers, over the holiday weekend, (on a Sunday of all days). Robin Williams and his team Jaquan, & James were quick, and got the job done. Did I mention how considerate and respectful they all were? It makes a stressful move special, when the people who are there to help, actually care about what they are doing and can have fun while doing it. Give Alanna a call at MJC, she’ll get you all set up for a stress free move in no time, with yet another, amazing personality! I think you’ll be relieved if you do & thankful you read my review before calling another company. I can not thank all of you at MJC enough. Truly. Thank you for making this easy.
