M & J VIDEO COMMUNICATIONS INC

All equipment and work done for us by M & J has been reasonably priced and done well and promptly.

They walked the property with me several times & suggested camera locations that would give me the most coverage for the budget we were working with. The entire installation was very smooth & my staff were shown how to use the equipment for video reviews, etc. They followed up within a week to so how everything was going, then promptly came out a week after that to adjust one of the cameras. 'Very happy with their cost & services.

M&J Video installed a video surveillance and alarm system in my business in about 2000.  The original system included 11 cameras, constant video monitoring with recording capabilities and an interior alarm system.  The initial installation required major cabling with conduit installation.  Their consultant, Brad, performed a site survey and developed the job estimate and proposal.  I called them again in 2011 when it was time to upgrade our system. <br /> <br /> My first contact with M&J was by phone. Brad asked questions about the type of business I had, its location, what the premises were like, hours of operation, etc.  In brief, he developed a reasonable profile of my needs before he physically visited my location.  The day he came for our appointment he was right on time and very personable.  He was efficient in his thorough inspection of my plant.  He inspected all rooms and areas and the building, inside and out.  He then sat down with me to discuss different configurations and technologies.  He was very insightful in the questions he asked about what I considered my needs to be.  By the end of our meeting he made a complete verbal proposal that included equipment, parts and labor.  He did not attempt to upsell me at all. In fact, he dissuaded me from ordering a more costly configuration because he felt my needs didn't warrant it.  That was a first for me!  When he sent me the formal written proposal it was completely in agreement with the verbal proposal he had described to me during his site visit.  His prices were highly competitive with those of other vendors. <br /> <br /> His technician came punctually on the date I had chosen.  He worked continuously all day to complete all of the cabling, camera installations, install relays, etc.  When he was done, phase one of the job was complete.  He even cleaned up after himself and left me with a clean property (another first!).  Once the monitoring equipment was installed and configured to my site specifications, Brad came to give us a tutorial on the system's use and capabilities.  He didn't leave until my senior staff and I were comfortable with the system's operation.  So, our first contact with M&J was a great experience. <br /> <br /> Fast forward to about ten years later when we needed to replace our recording equipment with newer, more intelligent devices.  My first call was to M&J.  True to form, I spoke to them and told them what I wanted from the system at that time.  Again, they advised me against replacing things that still worked well and wouldn't adversely impact the new technology I was installing.  Again, Brad showed up punctually, installed the new equipment and showed us how to use it and all of its abilities.  He remained accessible to us by phone when we later had questions about its functions.  <br /> <br /> M&J is an "old school" company.  They are honest, personable and efficient.  They stand behind their work and want to develop lasting relationships with their customers.  I have referred several acquaintances to them for similar work and everyone has thanked me for the favor.   There should be more companies out there like M&J.  Life would be simpler.

About the beginning of 2016 I noticed one of the potted plants on my porch garden had been smashed.  I decided to write it off as a wind accident, until a week later when I came home to find yet another potted plant smashed!  About another week later I found one of my rabbit statues that appeared to have been ripped from the ground and tossed to the side!  This was the final straw and I had m&j come out to install several cameras around the porch area.  Not two weeks later I come home to find my bird feeder had been vandalized, I searched back on the recording to find clear as day footage of my own neighbor, possibly intoxicated, having a veritable boxing match with my bird feeder...Needless to say I showed the footage to said neighbor, who reimbursed all of the damages in a plea to keep the footage out of court.  I wish I had never had the need for this camera system in the first place, but I am extremely pleased I made the investment.

Responded to my initial email within 2 hours and scheduled my installation for the very next week. Arrived on time and completed the job within the projected time frame. 1080p picture quality is crystal clear and the cell phone app gives me access no matter where I am.

Overall... Very Satisfied. Needed a security system for my office. Called them up, and they were very quick to assess the best system for me. They came out, worked very efficiently. After assessing the workmanship, I was very impressed as I could not see any wires, and the system was very discrete (extra points). They make sure you are trained on how the system works before leaving... Making the experience seamless, and painless. M and J Video Communications comes highly recommended by my colleagues and I.

Great!  Clean and careful installation of all components.  Showed and answered all questions about the recording system.  Quick call returns if I have questions.

Terrible service, did not do quality work and were dishonest.  They did not complete and only looked for more money.  Mark was rude and unprofessional.  They took way too long - approx two days when it should have taken two hours max.  The system did not work properly and wires are hanging over equipment, boxes and items left in home didn't clean up properly.  I do not recommend them for home theatre or audio systems at all. <br />

They showed up on time to give me a bid. They stayed within the bid. They were courteous and professional. Tony, the installer, is a magician with regard to hiding cabling. They did a great job. When I asked him to come back to a small job he gave me a bit over the phone that was too high.
