Modern Marvels Construction

My kitchen cabinets were install incorrectly at first. They came back to fix part of the problem but missed to fully correct the mistake Which left a gap on the floor. Also, I had the door corrected due to the poor Installation done by Modern Marvels. When a company agrees to make a job then make it right or don't even start. The fridge panel has the gaps in the floor because the carpenter didn't take the panels off the fridge cabinet. The cabinets were already connected when it came time to fix the mistake of the missing 3inch spacers in either side of the stove. In order to fully correct the mistake of the missing spacers; The carpenter need it to disconnect the 2 pieces and then tapered the panels to FIT the floor NICELY. The company took the easy route. Which takes me back to the first reaction of trying to charge MORE to FIX the carpenter's mistake. He claimed he did not get inform that there were spacers yet the carpenter had a PRINTED plan to follow. The carpenter and assistant missed to check the plan. The other easy way out was the suggestion of returning the cabinets as "damaged" to the cabinet company. Overall, The first thing that went wrong was that Chris lacks experience and knowledge in carpentry to give an estimate because it did not carefully assess the room measurements of the walls and floor.

I originally planned to hire Modern Marvels to demolish my garage (which was leaning quite a bit to one side and needed to be winched over and one wall rebuilt) because the repair bids I was getting were too expensive. Chris told me they could repair the garage, as well as put on new siding, for not much more than the demo bid. They were extremely easy to work with, fast and communicative. They also did a good job. Would recommend!

Modern Marvels was the primary contractor in the demolition and reconstruction of the interior of an industrial property of mine in downtown St. Louis. They came through for me on a tight timeline, getting every part of the job done on time, and exceeded expectations in how they handled things. I will work with them again.

Great job especially considering the difficulty of dealing with plaster walls.

They were on time and able to finish the job as quoted. They were very professional and kept me updated on their progress as well as the options I had.

We could not be happier with the final result. The entire Modern Marvels team was extremely helpful and friendly, and went out of their way to accommodate our needs. They had great ideas for things we hadn't even considered. They started and finished on time, as promised, and they kept us abreast of things as they worked. It could have been a nightmare with our house torn up, but it was a real pleasure working with them.

It went well, i was very satisfied with the quality of work and how quickly it was done. They were very clean and curious. Im definitely going to be calling them again if i should require any additional work. Im in New Your currently now but when i get home ill add some photographs of the work performed by them.

They are excellent at what they do, very professional, and very punctual. The owner Chris, from the beginning, has been very detailed for what work needed to be done, costs of materials, and have been pretty punctual on the amount of days/hours that the work would take. The best part is there are no "unexpected" prices or last minute work which is very convenient!

My home is currently under construction and has been going on a whole lot longer than it should have because of the contractor hired to do the job. Chris with Modern Marvels was recommended to me by a friend so i gave him a call to paint the exterior of my home. Him and his guys showed up quickly, were very clean and his pricing was definitely more affordable than i expected. i asked him to then drywall my home and paint it as well, it took him 2 weeks to get done more than the current contractor has in 6 months. im actually going to continue using Chris and his guys for most all other jobs i have left.

It went great, from the time i called they were very honest about everything, they were advising me on how to save money by doing things a certain way and using certain products, thats how we were actually able to include the deck lol. they always cleaned up after themselves and were very respectful us. The only issue we ever had was the delivery with all the wood for the deck was tied up and wasn't going to come for another 3 days, but they decided to make 2 trips bringing the wood themselves so not to waist any time. I really appreciated that because i had family visiting from out of state the following week and i really needed to get all the work completed by them, which they did :) I would definitely use them again!

Chris was great, i know he had other projects going on at the same time he was doing ours, but it felt like we were the only ones. There were small issues that came up but he was always on it resolving them so everything always moved forward on time. him and his guys were always very respectful and courteous which is very important to me because i have 3 children that were always around because it was summer. My husband and i have had lots of work done before to our home and we contracted several people but i always felt like they were out to get more money at every step and i distrusted there word, but with Chris i felt he was always looking out for and found ways to save money which was part of the reason we were able to do the deck. thank you Chris :)
