We had a very specific vision and Jose and his crew helped us create it. He offered suggestions on how to do so in the most functional and economical way possible as well. Our yard turned out beautifully. One of the most professional contractors we’ve ever worked with Jose always returned phone calls and showed up on time. It was a pleasure to create our paradise with him and his crew. We would highly encourage anyone to give Modern Oak the opportunity to do the same in their yard.

Over last winter, my sod (that was not even a year old as this is a new home development) appeared to be invaded by cinch bugs. I naively thought it was from the late frost we received. No such luck. I was left with a browned-out front yard. Luckily it was only this patch and not my entire yard. However, it is located in the front of my home and I needed to address this situation sooner than later. I did my research. Got pricing on having sod delivered, hiring a random handy-man do the labor and installation, to calling companies who do this professionally. That's how I happened upon Modern Oak Landscape Design. Responsive, reasonable, job done in time frame proposed, fully explained what to expect and how to care for afterwards, made sure work met expectations, made irrigation adjustments needed, and promptly followed up afterwards. Definitely recommend.

A couple of weeks ago, I was weeding my front yard when Jose put a door hanger on our mailbox. I asked if he had a minute and let him know that we were in the process of getting estimates for re-mulching, putting landscape fabric down and general maintenance of our overgrown front yard. He got out of his truck, asked some questions about the work and took measurements. Within a day, he returned with an estimate, which was very reasonable. He was thorough in explaining what he was going to do and how long the project would take. He patiently answered questions throughout the process and provided pointers on how to maintain our yard. He arrived when he said he would, completed the work on time and cleaned up thoroughly when he finished. We're really pleased with the results and have started working on our next project with him.
