I paid Monkey Wrench Plumbing $6900 for the installation and found out later that SoCalGas offering the same waterheater with installation for $5100 ($3900 with rebate). Technician told me gas company will give me rebate. I applied for the rebate which would be $1200, but gas company sent me refusal, because my old waterheater was tankless and technician specified "tankless" in his invoice. Besides of that, he made big whole in the wall underneath the waterheater which I didn't notice looking at it from the side of the waterheater after he finished and paid full price. One day later their electrician made whole in the waterheater and attached electrical cord to it without letting me know he has intention to do it. Because of that door of the waterheater can't be open. Manager refused to fix these problems.

I am sorry that I used this company.( Monkey Wrench Plumbing) I made an appointment to have my tankless water heaters be checked and have the annual maintenance and cleaning and changes of filters done. the office quoted $195 ( special promotion) and when the technician (Rick Aguire) arrived after 2 minutes he started convincing me to buy new tankless heaters which would be $12000 ( yes twelve thousand ) and when I said NO he spent over 15 minutes of his valuable and charging time to explain and convince me to do it, even offered my finance to buy!! after getting frustrated then he said I have to pay $390 because the quote for $195 was for only one unit and it was miscommunication ( which I doubt because the office clearly was told about two units), anyway I accepted, but then he told me that I have to pay separately for the filters ( each one $145) I was really disappointed and just wanted to get it over with because I am a physician and I did not want to waste any more time bargaining with this charlatan, I accepted to pay for filters extra and went inside my house to relax from this toxic atmosphere, after a few minutes I came back and asked him if he changed the filter which he said YES I asked him that I wanted to see the old, dirty filter and he said he put it in his van and I asked him to bring it back and I want to see it which he went to his van and came back and said SORRY I MADE A MISTAKE I THOUGHT MY OTHER TECHNICIAN CHANGED IT WHICH HE DID NOT!! I asked him I don't want the filter change at all and then he said your filter pump is not working and we can change it for $1800 which I called my son and he googled it was $102 and his plumber would do it for $150 this company is really a dishonest and tooooo expensive

THE SERVICEPERSON WAS POLITE AND CLEAN. THE JOB WENT WELL AND WE HAVE NOT HAD ANY PROBLEM WITH HIS WORK.

They were great. They were on time and they did a great job. They fixed it once and it’s still working today. The workers are very professional.

I didn't quite get what I needed. It was for an inspection. They gave me an estimate. A hundred bucks to give you an estimate of stuff needed to be done is not quite what I needed. I needed an inspection for insurance purposes but they are working with me. My overall experience was mediocre. They didn't seem to understand. In their site he was there for an inspection and tried to give me an estimate but I did not need an estimate, I just needed an inspection.

<p>I reluctantly agreed for him to come back the next day since the water had been leaking for some time and I just wanted to get it taken care of.  He got to our home within 30 min of his stated arrival.  So far so good.  He then started to dig a trench from the line all the way to the side walk.  At that point he asked if I had work to go to or if I was going to just hang out there with him.  Hm.  I let him know that I wanted to see what condition the existing line was in, and determine with him what the best course of action would be.  </p> <p>Once he dug all the way to the sidewalk, we noticed that most of the line was new copper piping, and only about the last 18" or so tying into the meter was an old galvanized pipe that needed to be replaced.  You should've seen the disappointment on his face when he saw the new copper line.  He had been asking me about our sprinkler line and telling me how much work it was going to take to navigate through our lawn to the house.  It was very evident that he was disappointed at the scope of the actual work required. </p> <p>After a few minutes, he came back to me to tell me that it was going to cost $750 to replace about 18" of piping.  I told him that that was ludicrous.  He then said he doesn't have to continue the job, but I would owe him $500 as that's what it costs to get him out to the job site.  Not having any options, I opted to let him finish the work.  The entire work took about 1.5 hrs from start to finish.  I will never use them again - hope you don't make the same mistake I made either.  </p> <br />

The woman on the phone was friendly and professional and upon hearing that I found the company on Anjie's List said there would be a $15 discount to the $250 price she quoted for an annual maintenance call. The repairman came on time 2 days later, was professional, got the job done in 60-90 minutes and charged us the quoted price. The system has worked perfectly since (2 weeks ago) and the warning code is no longer flashing on the screen.

These guys have saved me on not 1 but 2 thanksgivings ! Broke my garbage disposal more than I'd like to admit. But they also saved me when my water heater at my business broke last winter. <br /> <br />Honest, reliable, competent and fair! <br /> <br />Recommend them to everyone ! <br />

My bathtub would not stop leaking! I called Monkey Wrench, and the technician arrived promptly.  He meticulously worked on the bathtub and successfully stopped the leak.  He took great care not to make a mess in my bathroom.  I'd highly recommend Monkey Wrench in the future. <br />

Our technician was Mason Bostrand and he was AWESOME. He went above and beyond with fixing our problem. When he first arrived he conducted an assessment. He discussed his preliminary conclusion with my husband and me, we agreed, so he made the repair after retrieving some parts. The problem was not fixed. Mason stayed and kept working until he figured out the issue (shorted wiring). All the while he kept us well informed. I honestly thought he was doing all this to jack up the bill, but no, after 5.5 hours, parts, and numerous annoying questions from us the bill was exactly what he originally said it would be $300.00. We had hot water within 10 minutes of his final fix and he taught how to prevent it from happening again. Mason is a rare breed and we highly recommend him.

Our 4 year old tankless water heater began acting up. The water in the <br /> shower would go stone cold with increasing regularity. Not a pleasant experience with a headful of sudsy shampoo! My old plumber <br /> tried to fix it twice but nothing worked. We checked out the water heater <br /> manufacturer's site out of desperation and found Monkey Wrench Plumbing <br /> listed there. They came out quickly, were on time and fixed the <br /> problem by changing the filter and performing routine maintenance. They <br /> were professional and courteous and got the job done. We will be using <br /> them again and again! <br />

They came over within a half hour I called them. They fixed the problem and followed up with me later. I've never had this type of experience with a plumber before and was thrilled with their service.

We are about to purchase a new washer/dryer.  Previously the plumbing we have had involved packing tape to keep the water going out.  We needed extensive work to redo this prior fix.  Monkey Wrench, once again, was prompt, did the work in the time they anticipated it would take.  They also gave us a senior discount, as we are both well beyond "seniorhood."  They are prompt, efficient, and are more dependable than any plumber we've ever had.
