It went great, they came out in no time, and were able to fix the A/C unit that I really thought was dead because it was old and I had issues with it in the past. This is not the first time I have used Morris A/C, infact I had a friend who had another A/C company come out to fix their unit and told them the compressor had blown and they needed to buy a new unit, I told them before they did that to have Russ from Morris A/C come out and take a look, just to get a second opinion. He got there and 30 minutes later they had a working A/C unit, it turned out it was just a blown fuse in the unit..... I can't speak highly enough about this company and I would never use anyone else. I rate them an 11 on a scale from 1 to 10!!!!

They have don't emergency service for us when they have done repair work. They have come at night, and have been there in an hour. It took about an hour and only one person came out. They left the area clean.

They come every 6 months. They do a great job. They keep track of when it is due for us and they come out and do it. It takes about 20 minutes. It is just one person.

After a cold night, turned up the thermostat to heat up the house and after about 1 hour the temperature didn't change.  Checked the breaker to the pump, turned it off, tried to turn it on again and the breaker kept tripping off.  I called Jim Morris on Sunday morning and he came by a few hours later and called me (as promised) when he was on his way.  This cost a bit more than his normal service charge (being a Sunday and it was an emergency service).  The heating system is working great now! <br /> I've used this company the last 6-7 years for other repairs and maintenance check ups and am very happy with their pricing, professionalism and punctuality. <br />

When I called, I asked if they could please fit me in the same day. It was already the afternoon and the guy (I believe his name was Jim) said, let me call you right back, I will ask my dad. He called right back and said that his dad said there was no reason for them not to make it out there the same day. Awesome! He came out, told us the problem and before he quoted a price, he said "let me make a few phone calls". He told us that our parts were still under warranty, so that he would only be charging us for the labor. I totally appreciated that. One of the parts had to be ordered, so he fixed what he could and finished the job the next day when the part was available. I appreciate small companies like this that go the extra mile for their customers. They will become my go to a/c company. Very knowledgeable and friendly.

Jim answered the phone at 8:50 pm last night which was totally unexpected.  I was so grateful to reach someone because my air conditioning was not working and my son was arriving from Washington state the next day.  I knew they would not be used to our Florida heat.  Russel found the problem quickly and repaired it.  It isn't 11 am yet and the house is cooling down.  Thank you! <br /> Mary <br />

Called Morris Air Conditioning & Heating late Friday evening to report of a hissing sound on my air conditioner unit.  Mr. Morris advised that it sounded like there was hole in the coil in which Freon was being lost.  He was able to stop by my house to close the line to prevent any further loss of Freon and I agreed to have a technician come on Monday morning.  Monday morning, Mr. Morris and his technician arrived on Monday morning and repaired the hole.  Once done, his technician checked the Freon level and discovered that the majority of the Freon was discharged and unfortunately needed to replace Freon.  <br /> His technician did a thorough analysis on my unit, including going into the attic to ensure the whole system was working as designed as well as checking the in-house filters.  They did an awesome job as I watched them perform their analysis. <br /> I would use them again and recommend them to anyone that asks. <br /> Job well done. <br />

<p>At the beginning of the week our air conditioner started to cycle on and off all the time.  It was clear that there was a problem.  The system is not quite 3 years old and didn't expect a problem but of course you never do.  I looked on Angie's List and called Morris AC and made an appointment for the upcoming Thursday.  I spoke with John and mentioned I had the Angie's List coupon.  John (a different John) came on time as scheduled on Thursday morning.  He diagnosed the problem to be most likely the power supply module. He quoted me a price for it which was under warranty from Carrier but there was still labor charges.  </p> <p><br /></p> <p>Since I can't do the work myself and know nothing about this I agreed to the service since John was able to get the part the same day and have my unit up and running.  John came back later in the day and installed the new power supply module and the AC was working again.  </p> <p><br /></p> <p>My only concern which I have no way of researching now is was the labor charges fair.  Having paid for a coupon through Angie's List for $55, I basically committed myself to Morris AC. That is not the concern, but since the coupon entitled me to $50 off my service, was that charge raised to cover a discount.  If not, then since the part was covered under warranty, then my labor charges were over $100/hr.  That's because the total time spent in the home was about 2 hours.</p> <p><br /></p> <p>Overall I am pleased with everything but feel I overpaid somewhat.</p> <br />

It is disappointing that you chose to include your doubts about our pricing in your review before talking to us and gaining a full understanding of what that price included. For clarification: If you need a part replaced on your unit that is under manufacturer’s warranty, the tech must locate the correct part, pick it up, install it, and then return the old part for credit. There is also a $35 handling fee for most warranty parts. Depending upon where you live in relation to the supply house that has the warranty part (our GPS tracking in John’s truck shows the supply house was 23 miles away from your home), it can take at least an hour for the pick up and then return of the old part. Both the handling fee and the time involved in ordering, pick up, and return of the part are components of the labor cost of a warranty part repair. Once the part is installed, the tech then must ensure that the warranty part repair was all that was wrong with your unit. For your $55 coupon, our tech, John, spent 1-1/2 hours checking your system and once he found the bad part, he wired around the part to determine if that was the only problem and that your system would be working properly once the part was replaced. The quote you were given was for $235, less your $50 credit, for a total of $185, which you approved. From that point, John had 2-1/2 hours in ordering, pickup, repair, and final check of your system to ensure that that was all that was needed to repair your unit. Dividing the $235 (less the $35 handling fee) by 2-1/2 hours is $80 per hour. Should you have any additional questions or needs in the future, we hope you will contact us. I have used Morris A/C & heating several time over years and alway found this company to be completely reliable and reasonable. The service tech arrives quickly after the phone call and always locates the problem and repairs it. The problem this time was that the oil pump motor was frozen after the summer shutdown. He removed the pump, freed and lubricated it and had <br /> it working in short order. <br />

They are very responsive if you have a problem and reasonable in price.  The fee also included refurnishing one of the air conditioners with refrigerant.  They are the only company I use for cooling services.  I have also recommended them to a neighbor.
