Their mowers kept mowing over our blueberry bushes and other ornamental plants. Tried to address the issue with management, but management had terrible follow-up (mostly saying they'd call you back and never doing so) and plants still kept getting run over.

The service was fine overall. The account managment is horrible. The following is waht happened. On 11/1/16 I contacted you regarding my invoice that was in the amount of $224.56. I indicated that there was duplicate charges for weed control 10/9 and 10/10. During a telephone conversation we agreed that you would reduce the bill to reflect the accurate charge of $147.57. On the evening of 11/7/16 I checked the website and that amount was on my invoice. However, today I received an email from you indicating that there had been numerous errors on my account and now I owe $295.14. You indicated that it was a result of "human error". That may be, but I have no way to dispute the alleged services because I no longer have the service slips. I am not willing to take your word for it. Clearly the accounting system is faulty. The owner "Nick" is refusing to reduce the bill. I checked on Google reviews and this has happened to other customers. Not good.

I LOVE these guys! I first saw them working in someone's yard, and the young men were conversing pleasantly and very intelligently. That's the first thing that impressed me. I took notice of their advertising and noticed that they use organic methods, something I had been looking for. I took a look at their website, and I contacted them about the possibility of doing a yard clean-up.
Nick came out, saw the yard, and drew up a proposal. I was surprised that anyone would be willing to clean up this horrible back yard at any price at all! For an extremely reasonable price this group of young men removed 2 trees, got rid of the jungle of very healthy monster weeds, removed the abandoned piles of brush, and took several trailers of yard waste away. They also did the same for the front yard and both sides of the house.
We continue to use their services. As mentioned, they mow our huge, irregular lawn, and they do trimming every-other time. We just had them do the fall seeding and aeration. We plan to use all their regular lawn services next year.
We will probably also use them to do snow removal this winter. Mother Earth Organic is a wonderfully dependable group of workers who are conscientious about the products they use. I could not be happier with these people.
Nick came out in the fall of 2012 to aerate our lawn. I had purchased an Angie's List deal. We had a good amount of rain over the prior weekend, so the ground was nice and soft -- prime for aeration. (2012 was a terrible drought year, so the soil was previously very hard and compact).
The machine did a nice job of removing long core plugs. He worked hard and made efficient work of it. He cleaned up the drive and sidewalk.
I was pleased with the work and the friendliness of service.
This was a Living Social deal. I called Mother Earth right away and was told to expect an email and reply to it with the
Living Social voucher number. They were to clean the gutters within a short time -- nobody needs to be at home. Then, 34 days later,. I got an email from Nick, the owner of Mother Earths Lawn Care, stating that the work would be done between Thursday and Saturday (Nov 29 - Dec 1). I replied to the email with the voucher number and Friday afternoon, they came, cleaned the gutters, and went. It was pretty slick and painless once they got over their backlog, but the business process was not perfect. There are too many ways for email to go astray: it is not perfect communication, but it was good enough this time.

Instead of aerating my lawn they de-thatched it. In the process, they left large and small bare spots where there had previously been green, shallow-rooted turf. Teri initially responded to my phone message with an email, stating she would talk to her crew about my concerns and get back to me. Since then, I have emailed her twice and left an additional phone message. Her only response has been to send me a bill via U.S. mail: $94.94 for thatch removal. They damaged my lawn doing a service I never requested, and now want to charge me for the privilege.

Nick, the owner, apologized and offered to repair the damaged spots and aerate my lawn for no charge. He assured me that the $94.94 charge for thatch removal was void. I'm only sorry that he wasn't made aware of the problem sooner.

Nick and Terri are a small (family) team and they provide personalized service. They worked with us extensively (in person and over email) on developing a specific landscaping plan for our garden, including drawing up "maps" of our property indicating the proposed locations of various new flowers and plants. Once the work was completed, we were disappointed that they had not removed as much of the ground cover and unwanted plants as we had originally discussed; however, Nick was polite and responsive to our concerns and he and Terri returned promptly to perform more removal -- albeit for a (discounted) price. Also, not all of the plants they planted have grown yet this spring, so we are feeling like we may not have gotten the garden we paid for.
When we hired Nick to cover our property for snow removal while we were on vacation in the winter, he performed as promised and the prices were fine. We had no complaints with his snow removal services.
Our experience with Mother Earth was OK overall-- I would tend to use them again for lawnmowing/snow-removal rather than for more elaborate gardening/landscaping services.

It was mediocre. It wasn’t the greatest. They over billed me from our original agreement. They did come back and do more, but they didn’t finish the spring clean up on our yard.
Response from Mother Earths Lawn Care
"I am truly sorry that we were not able to earn a grade of A from you based on your experience with our previous service. I remember performing the spring cleanup service with two associates, and we agreed that the billing would be hourly by the man hour. At this rate, 0.5 hours of billable time would have been rendered in 10 minutes. I apologize if there is any confusion with this process, and I can assure you that it will not happen in the future as we have amended this service to be billed by the job, not the hour. I wasn't aware of any inflated billing, and if there is anything that we can do for you please let us know. (608) 695-7642. Thanks for being green! Nick/Mother Earth's was the only one of 6 fencing companies who was willing to work with me on a customized fence. Other companies (even A-rated Angie's list companies) would only consider chain link fencing and one never bothered to even give me a quote. Nick and one of his partners took the time to consider what I wanted and how they could do it within my budget. They'd never built a fence like this so there was a little trial and error, but they were considerate and thoughtful about their approach. My garden got a bit smooshed but they gave me warning about that and as the fence ran right up against it, it was to be expected. They were super with my neighbors, all of whom had questions for them, and were polite and friendly. Definitely recommend, especially if you want something a little outside the box. I know they do landscaping and lawn care too, but they just built my fence. I'm doing the cat-proofing but I couldn't possibly do it without the structure they gave me.
