Move Masters Professional Services

It went really well! The team arrived slightly before the appointed time. They were friendly and ready to work. When they learned we were charged by UPack by the amount of space used in the truck they were conscientious in packing things as tightly as possible to save us money. They were also careful to pack things securely, tying things down so they wouldn't shift around in the truck, placing stuffers, wrapping some items and covering everything with tarp since it was a cross country trip. They also helped us put up the bulkhead that seals in our load, store the ramp and attach the lock. The load took 3.5 hours. We are very pleased with the price and the work performed. The guys worked very hard and fast and were very professional. We plan to use them again for the second half of our move in May.

Excellent and efficient move. Only a few minor items were broken, but that might have been due to packing. The three gentleman were very friendly and very fast. They had my entire two bedroom with garage apartment loaded in 1.5 hours and unloaded in 2 hours. Of course, that was probably due to the fact that I had everything already packed, stacked, wrapped, and shrink wrapped (yes, even the furniture) before they arrived! :) Anyway, these guys were great. They arrived EXACTLY at 9:00am as promised. Once at the destination point, they even helped with putting things in the garage that needed to go in it. AND they did this for LESS than the maximum amount originally quoted.. several hundred dollars less. I would definitely recommend. Thank you so much! :)

They were courteous timely and very adept in what they were doing.  I would certainly call them again if I have need for their services!

The move went well.  The three guys were on time and got to work immediately upon arrival.  They took great care of all the furniture and got it to the destination without damaging anything. <br />

Great service and professionalism.  The guys all worked hard non-stop and took great care in making sure our property was secure and undamaged throughout the moving process.  They were friendly and had great attitudes.  I highly recommend and will definitely use them again should the need arise.

The guys showed up and immediately got to work and emptied out my old home really quickly.  They were kind enough to put all the boxes into each room my wife asked them to.  They wrapped everything neatly and nothing got damaged, dropped, etc.  And they were a good group of guys and I would definitely recommend them to anyone I know that needs moving help.  Hope they enjoyed the pizza! <br />

It went well, one table received minor damage, but overall they did great.  The team took longer than I expected to arrive at the new house after stopping for some reason but quickly agreed to remove half an hour from the total charge.  The company is currently looking into the damage. <br />

They were very punctual, in fact, they showed up 30 minutes early. They worked efficiently and quickly. Both of the mover's were friendly and carful with my furniture. They even broke down the old dining room table and placed in in the garage, moved some furniture around in the house, and were very careful with my antiques.  <br /> In the end, the cost was about $40.00 less than the estimate was. I was very pleased with this service. I will definitely use them again and recommend them to my friends! <br />

I contacted Move Masters for my move and scheduled a date.  Subsequently, since my closing date changed, I had to cancel the original date and reschedule the move for a later day.  That was no problem for this company and they graciously changed the move date to accommodate my schedule.  They were professional and easy to deal with and called me twice before the move to make sure everything was still on schedule. <br /> On moving day, they arrived with a three man crew and proceeded to get the truck packed.  What a great crew!  The driver, Victor Argueta was very proficient in his ability to pack and stack the boxes in the truck, and when it was apparent that the truck would not be large enough for all my boxes and furniture, another truck was ordered at no extra cost to me.  All my possessions were treated with the utmost care and everything arrived in one piece.  Nothing was broken.  This move took 8 hours and the temperature was in the triple digits with high humidity that made for a very hot day.  This crew never slacked.  <br /> At my new house, all the boxes and furniture were put in the appropriate rooms and everything was cleaned up.  Kendray House and Christian Vasquez, as well as Joseph, who drove the second truck, were such  hard workers!  And Victor Argueta obviously knows his business very well, because he kept everything coordinated and moving along to get the job done in a timely way.  <br /> Moving is a stressfull thing and this company made it a pleasure.  i recommend them highly! <br />

Move Masters moved me from a 4 bedroom and garage apartment 2 story home in Katy to a single-story home in The Woodlands. When scheduling, I described what items would be moved, and the Move Masters office indicated they would send two trucks, rather than having one truck make 2 trips (like the other movers I contacted would have done.) They charge a "Truck Fee" rather than an hourly charge for travel to the move site, so this worked out much better than multiple trips with one truck. <br /> Christian, Alexis, Jose and a 4th team member arrived at noon (11:30 scheduled arrival - but that was fine, I was still taping boxes). The team was professional, wrapped all furniture with pads and shrink-wrap as needed. They worked tirelessly to load the trucks. At one point, about 3:00pm, as they were loading the garage, I looked outside to see Christian _running_ down the driveway to the truck with a loaded hand-truck. <br /> The team was polite and professional. We (and I say we because I missed it too) neglected to load one closet. <br /> At the destination, they again worked steadily and professionally, and finished at 9:00pm. <br /> I would definitely use Move Masters again.  <br /> <br />

Our experience with this company was fantastic, from the first phone and throughout the moving process.  The office figured out the most efficient method of making multiple stops and switches.  David and Christian were fantastic.  On time, very personable, worked very well together, were very careful, very efficient, very professional.  They were extremely careful about getting large items through the twists and turns in our house.  Nothing was scratched or broken.  They were a little dismayed when they saw a large crowd at the storage facility because they were concerned about the extra time it would take to unload the van and that it would cost us extra money.  But they hunted down a cart from the storage unit and worked very efficiently to get everything moved in.  Their ideas about how to arrange the items for access were excellent.  We have moved several times with different movers, including other highly-ranked companies on Angie's List, but this company/staff and these two young men have highly elevated our impression of the moving profession.  I can't say enough about how thrilled we were at the service.  FYI, this was a last minute move.  And the pricing was more than fair. <br />

It was horrible. They broke our table during moving. We called them and sent them several e-mails and there was no response from them. They didn't even have time to deal with that. It was an expensive glass top coffee table that they broke and they pretended that nothing happened. We e-mailed them on January 5th and they replied the next day. They asked what we want them to do, if we want money or a new table or for them to fix the table. We told them we wanted the table to be fixed. There was no response after that. The man in charge of the moving, Robert, said they will help us fix it so he took the base of the table with them and we have never seen that base again. They never fix it, never sent it back to us. On the first contact, they said they checked it and it was only worth $200 but that's not true because we bought the table for $700.

The crew of four (Christian, Albert, Jose and Alexis) arrived on time at our Houston home, and worked extremely hard to load a 26' truck.   We boxed the smaller items but the crew blanketed and wrapped all furniture and took extremely good care to protect our items.   They arrived at the new home in Austin and worked very fast to unload the truck.   No items were damaged in the move and the guys were polite, motivated and had a great attitude.   We would use this company again and would request the same guys to do the move. <br />

It was originally scheduled for a day earlier, however one of their guys was sick; so we rescheduled it for the following day. They provided two men instead of three, who worked well and took about 4 hours to load and 2.5 hours to unload all the stuff to storage. <br />

It went very well. They blanketed and plastic wrapped everything and even though they were being paid hourly, they really hustled to get the job done. No damages or problems and all on time. <br /> <br />

Move Masters were great from the start. They provided detailed cost structure over the phone and then went through room by room our furniture details to provide an estimate and determine truck size. They called the day before to confirm the move and start time. They showed up promptly on time and the move went smoothly. Theo, Oscar and Albert were the move team and did a fantastic job. They moved us from a two story house to a three story townhouse, so there was a lot of heavy lifting required up and down stairs. They had a great positive attitude and were a pleasure to work with. The move required two short trips and took about 10 hours. It was a long hot day but they worked like champs, never slowing down or showing any traits of being tired......awesome team. Thanks again for a pleasant move! <br />

When the two men (Victor and Theo) who drove to Alabama from League City backed the truck up, they unloaded in less than 45 minutes, put each box and bin in the proper place in the house, unwrapped all of the furniture and set them in place where directed.  In a few instances moved some to fit the motif. <br /> These two men made the move to Alabama a breeze for us.  We talked via cell phone on the way over and on the delivery day. <br /> I cannot say enough about the professionalism of Shane, the inside customer contact man who kept us appraised of our <br /> progress of what to do and when to do it before the truck arrived. <br /> Equally, Victor and Theo were the southern gentlemen to us and took the time to answer all of our questions.  <br /> I would use this company to move me in a heart beat.  From start to finish, this move by Move Masters is the best move ever in my 23 move around the U.S. and overseas. <br /> We had NO breakage (a first for us), NO scratches (another first), nothing missing or left behind (a third first)! <br /> All in all, anyone who moves any distance should use Angies List and Move Masters!!!!!  <br />

I found them on Angie's List and used them twice. The first time was great and the second time was a disaster. We basically had scratches and scuffs all over our furniture in the house. The guys were nice but every single door frame has a ding in it and there are dings all up the stairwell. My daughter's nursery furniture is white and there are black scuffs on the corner of every piece of furniture in her room. We have a book shelf that is completely scraped on one side. It was not good at all and I am completely unhappy. It was clear that one person was experienced and the other two were very new. I was generally happy with them the first time I used them but not the second. I think their pricing is comparable to other local companies. I used three guys for about three hours of moving. Their price was fair and they were polite, but incompetent.  

This company is fantastic. We have moved about every five years and by far this was the best experience we have ever had.  When I called to schedule the appiontment and explained what I wanted I was told that the owner would be out to give me a bid and oversee the job.  The move was in two parts the first being moving some furniture and other items to an apartment.  The second move involved packing up the remaining items and putting them into climate controlled storage. <br /> The day of the appointment the owner Wayne did indeed appear with a crew of three.  The guys he had were all very polite and professional.  They took great care in wrapping everything and carefuly placing it in the truck.  Later that day they went out of their way at the apartment to ensure that the furniture was placed to my satisfaction. <br /> The second part was also done extrememly well.  The packers were all very polite and professional.  When they were done moving everything out of the house they went above and beyond and swept and cleaned before they left! <br /> I can't say enough about this company, they are the best! <br /> <br />

Move Masters took all of the hassle out of our move.  They were punctual and very efficient and unloaded our 16 foot moving truck into a 2 bedroom apartment on the 3rd floor within 2 hours.  They were quite efficient in accomplishing the work and were very careful with all of the items, nothing was damaged or broken in the process.  I would use Move Masters again without hesitation!! <br />

The move went extremely well.  Wayne Watts, Service Manager for Move Masters and his assistant came to our house and conducted a thorough inventory of our goods and identified all packing requirements for the move.  We had to delay our scheduled move due to problems with our new house and Move Masters accommodated our delay.  On the move date, Move Master's three-man crew arrived 10 minutes early for their appointment.  They were <strong> very </strong>professional and courteous.  They cleaned up after themselves and treated our possessions with extreme care.  We needed some heavy furniture positioned on the second floor of our house and they moved the furniture there without any issues.  Finally, the price for our move was extremely reasonable compared to other moving firms in the area. <br />

I gave a B to the overall experience, because I had used them in the past and never had a problem. <br /> I suggested them to other friends, and they also never had a problem. <br /> Based on this positive history, I decided to re-hire them again for my personal move to a new place. Truth to be told, they had to accommodate a change in scheduling that was independent of my or their will. <br /> Anyhow, this time their service has been quite disappointing. First, they arrived late, almost an hour and a half later than scheduled. Then, although I had requested a crew of 3 members, only 2 guys arrived. They were good  but definitely I could tell  they were less experienced than many other movers I hired in the past. For example, they moved my sofa down to the truck without even taking the pillows off - it must have weighted a ton!! Anyhow, they did their best and I have not concern about them. Of course at the end they were exhausted). Unfortunately, they also came with a smaller truck. It was my intention to drive to a storage unit to pick up extra stuff (and I made that intention clear in my emails). That was not possible without doing multiple rides till late evening. <br /> They didn't have wardrobe boxes, although that was probably my fault, as I have forgotten to remind the owner I had heard about them through Craigslist the first time I hired them one year and a half ago.  I had the impression though that the owner had my info saved from the previous move. Anyhow, not a big issue. Just remind to tell you are from Craigslist if you plan to hire them. <br /> Overall, I felt like the owner has not been as responsive in this move  as  he had been in the past. My detailed emails with instructions and requests have been totally disregarded. I believe that the owner might have had problems. He mentioned one of his assistants leaving the office. I can believe that. But at the same time I cannot disregard the fact that this time I felt let down. I am debating if I should hire them again for further needs (for example, moving the stuff I still have in storage). <br />

With exception of the piano move, it was very good.  Next time I would hire a piano mover.  We hired 4 men for the move.  They were at our home within 15 minutes of the scheduled time and went right to work.  They worked hard and took no breaks.  Were very courteous and professional.  I found only one mark on the walls of the new house.  My only issue with this company is the piano moving service.  I paid a premium to have the piano moved form the first floor of my old house to the second floor of my new house.  While I was with 2 guys moving items from the third floor, I looked out the window to see the other two guys attempting to push my piano up the ramp of the truck.  They came very close to losing control and the piano falling off of the ramp.  I stopped the two that I was with and we all went out to assist with getting the piano onto the truck.  When the piano was removed from the truck at the new house, all four movers were involved in unloading and carrying the piano up a winding staicase to the 2nd floor.  They did an outstanding job of carriyng the piano over the marble floors and up the staicase.  At this point, I complimented them and turned my attention to other tasks...BIG MISTAKE...later I noticed two significant marks on my virgin hardwood floors where they allowed the wheels to drag when they were moving the piano from the 2nd floor landing to its space in the room.  Very disappointing that I paid a premium for this service, was assured on the phone that they had moved many pianos, and ended up with defaced hardwoods on my first day in my new home.  My advise would be to hire a piano mover!  Otherwise these guys were very good. <br />
