GREAT JOB! I was very impressed with their work. They were polite, understanding, & worked very well together. I enjoyed talking to them & took several photos for my home repairs scrapbook. Also, afterwards they did an excellent job cleaning up around my property before they left. I've told several people about their work.
Did not do one door, due to lack of paint, but it took almost 30 days to resolve.
I'm not sure of the date, it could have been longer.
It was fast and painless and the work was completed in a couple days. They removed one layer and installed a new base layer of roofing. I've not found a single nail in the yard or driveway.

As for the roof, they subcontracted a bunch of Hispanic men, none of which spoke English. They would take these big bundles and throw them on the roof, busting the substructure. They did not put a frost line down. They did the entire roof in one day, a Sunday, a day when the inspectors are not out. Nor was it done the day we had scheduled. They billed me on the spot for another $3000 beyond the Big Deal stating there was more square footage than what the Big Deal offered. I calculated the square footage of the roof, which I have a schematic for, and it was no more than what the Big Deal covered. I also had to buy the material, which I still have a lot of just sitting there.

They were not a licensed company. They did not pull a permit for the roof. The project that I was doing was closed by the city because of the lack of license. I live in Washington state, but the the project was done in Indianapolis, so I had to fly to Indiana and lodge. To make it worse, one of the people that worked for the company, Shane Gilbert, that talked to me, gutted the house as part of the project. This is when the city caught that they were not licensed contractors for anything. At that point, my house is demolished and the city closed the project.

MRC said they would make it good, after they had received the entire payment for a completed job. It has been financially devastated. The property is still sitting there as we keep getting extensions on permits we keep pulling. I had asked and asked several times to see a license and they kept putting it off. I assumed because they were on Angie's List, they had been vetted and I trusted them. They won't answer my calls or my emails. The city inspector was told by them that they were going to finish job as the city had fined the company.

Shane Gilbert told me I wouldn't need this and that and told me the windows could be pulled. They pulled the windows and rehung windows, but it did not pass inspection. The electrical work did not pass inspection. The siding was red tagged as it was incomplete. It has sat all winter through the snow.

I need help as I'm sitting here at a loss. I trusted these people who were with Angie's List. I have a gutted house that has been sitting through the winter across country from my home.

Good. I like promptness of their service. Work quality is good. It does not cost me anything aside from the big deal.

It was wonderful. They were very good. I would highly recommend MRC Roofing. We have a very old house. They ran into normal issues with older buildings and handled it beautifully.

The process went through initially fine, but on job like this I usually wait a year to see how everything holds up. After the job was complete I found a number of schrubs in my front yard were not covered and were killed both with paint and also with roof debris thrown on them. After they received payment, I guess all issues in future were suppose to be mine and that they do not stand behind their work
After a year I had a lot of peeling and called them to take care of it. I started at late spring and was told that I would be taken care of right away. It continued through the summer and then I was promised 2nd week of Sept, no matter what, that all the issues would be rectified. Well that came and went. I sent a number of emails and calls that were not returned and ignored. this was the point that I found that they were just stringing me out so they didnt have to take care of issues they have with their work
After a number of frustrated calls and emails I realized that they were not going to take care of their problem at all. I am having to get someone else out to redo all peeling and also inspection of the rest of the work. I haven't decided on recourse yet, but I would strongly not consider them for all the problems I have had.
Everything went fine. I was very satisfied with their services. However, there were a couple communication glitches such as the dumpster showed up on a Sunday morning and did not know they were coming and blocked my car in. The communication was not immediate. However, the actual work was outstanding.

We are not sure we can make this review short. The story just goes on and on and could easily take many pages; we will leave out many details in the interest of condensing this to a reasonable length. Suffice it say that if you want quality workmanship and materials invested in your new roof and gutters, and you?d like the job done in a timely manner, and you would like to be happy about the process and the outcome, you might not want to contract with MRC Roofing.
In late 2012, after reading reviews on Angie?s List, what we thought was a thorough decision-making process from six estimates, we chose MRC Roofing to repair hail damage to our roof, gutters, soffits, and screened-in porch, all of which was included with the estimate from our insurance company. Our contact was with Rhonda Meyer (now Rhonda Burrow, according to Angie?s List)
and her worker named Shane. Work began at the end of November 2012; the job was not completed until the last day of May 2013.
The roofing sub-contractors, who MRC told us had done ?several jobs? for them (we subsequently found out ours was their first job with MRC), showed up at 7:00 AM to begin the tear-off. So far, so good except there was no gondola into which to discard the used shingles. It finally came, work continued, and they replaced the roof in one day. There was a delay near the
end of the work due to MRC not ordering enough materials so they had run out of shingles. MRC asked us to pay them an additional $600 out-of-pocket for the ?extra? materials. The roofing crew waited around and was finally able to
finish the job in the evening. MRC took all the extra shingles. We never received a refund for the extra unused materials nor did we receive any of the spare shingles for a future repair.
The next morning when we let our dog out, she found a pair of soiled men?s underwear behind our utility shed. Apparently, the day before one of the workers had a bad digestive problem and had decided that behind our shed was a good place to take care of the messy BM and leave his soiled clothing, covered up with a piece of cardboard. MRC and the roofing crew?s supervisor were both very apologetic. MRC offered to re-screen our back porch ?to make it up to us?, even though this had been included in our insurance company?s estimate in the first place but was not included in MRC?s proposal.
Next, we had about a three-week delay in the installation of our gutters. The gutter contractors came out, looked at our house, and promptly left because MRC had not done the needed and planned-for soffit repairs. MRC (Shane) finally did part of the repairs and scheduled the gutters to be installed, using another contractor. Again, we found that they too were first-time sub-contractors
for MRC, even though we had again been told by Rhonda that they were good and had done several jobs for them.
The gutters were installed on a Sunday in late December, even though Rhonda knew that we were going to be out of the state for just five days at this time. When we returned, we could see that the gutters were the wrong color; they were supposed to have matched the trim on the house. The color was a MUCH lighter shade. Had they scheduled the installation while we were home, we would have caught this problem before it was completed. When we asked how there could have been so much difference in color, they explained that the color always looks different than the color sample. (The sample they had when we picked out the color was a small paint sample rather than an actual sample of the gutter material. That sample in fact matched our house.) That would have been nice to know when we looked at the colors. This is their livelihood; we go through this process once every, oh, fifteen years or so.
By this time it is now late December. There is much snow and ice so we agreed to wait for better weather. There were a LOT of days where the weather would have been ideal for completing the job, but it took until the end of May 2013. Our guess is that MRC was not too interested in us any longer because we had already paid them the money (our mistake) and we were low on their priority list. But we still received numerous phone calls assuring us that they just wanted to make us, the customer, happy.
As we became better versed in all things roofing, we found that the shingles did not overhang the back edge of the gutters enough. ANOTHER crew of roofers came out to correct that situation so that water would not flow behind the gutters. Since the gutters were the wrong color, and they pretty much refused to put up the right color, MRC offered to paint our porch to match the gutters. Again, we agreed to have them paint the porch instead and asked that they paint the garage door as well so that we would have a consistent look. It was eventually done, but by a less than competent worker (Shane again), who complained nearly every time he was at our home. We did all of the cleaning of the surfaces, and not a single hole was filled prior to painting. Shane was the same worker who had supposedly done the soffit repairs. That was NEVER done to our satisfaction. One example of this is that while the soffits themselves were repaired Shane re-used the existing soffit vents (some of which were bent and otherwise damaged) rather than replacing them, which we believe were included in our original estimate from the insurance company. He also filled a roughly
two-inch gap with caulk rather than cutting a strip of wood and replacing the piece. By this time we were SO over being disturbed and stressed by these people that we just let it go.
Neither the gutter people nor the roofing sub-contractors who did the actual installations were paid by MRC even though we had paid MRC $11,000 for the materials AND the work. We know this because they both came to us on separate occasions, and told us they had not been paid and their attorneys were telling them they should place a lien on our home. The gutter people took MRC to court and settled for a fraction of what they were owed. MRC misrepresented us to both sub-contractors as being difficult to work with and not easy to please, and told them the reason MRC was unable to pay them was because we had not paid MRC. Both sub-contractors made these statements to us independently of one another. MRC told the roofing contractor that the BM incident with their worker cost MRC $500 for our dog?s vet bill (there WAS no vet bill) and $500 for carpet cleaning (there WAS no carpet cleaning). We told MRC about the incident because we felt they should be aware and to let that worker know that the behavior was unacceptable. AT NO TIME did we ask for any compensation of any kind, even though everyone to whom we related the story suggested that we should. We were level-headed and amiable when we spoke with Rhonda and with the sub-contractors. We kept every appointment and changed a date only one time. They said that they were coming and were no-shows so many times we lost count.
We are hopeful that our roof and gutters actually work as they are supposed to work. We accepted sub-standard work on the soffit repairs, and sustained other losses such as a broken flag pole on the front of the garage, a broken hall mirror, six months of much stress, and probably a hundred phone calls telling us that they wanted us to be ?happy?.
Prior to our beginning this odyssey, when we originally read reviews on Angie?s List, we saw that MRC had been rated mostly A?s and B?s, which is one of the things upon which we had we based our decision. However, looking at Angie?s List reviews again tonight, September 4, 2013, we see that since November 19, 2012, they have been rated F eight times and D two times; the two
most recent F?s were 8/28 and 8/29. MRC has been reviewed 86 times (not counting this one) and received the Super Service Award from Angie?s List in 2011, but obviously something has happened at the company that has very seriously negatively impacted their performance. We cannot in good conscience recommend using MRC for anything and would

after the roof was installed we had to call the Zionsville building inspector due to the roof overhang was 1/2 to 3/4 in too long according to the manufacture's directions. The building inspector contacted them to resolve the problem and as 8/29/2013, the roofing company(MRC Roofing) has not been back to fix the problem. When we had a heavy rain the water poured off the roof like a water fall.
Did not show up when they were supposed to. Left nails all over driveway. Nails and debris in gutters. Did not complete the work until several calls, emails, and texts were sent to them o er a periods of several days even though they had been paid in full. They then hid the debris from the gutters under a wooden box that was covering a drain pipe on the side of the house. They told me it has a 3 year warranty but the receipt says 2 years. The most unprofessional "company" I have ever hired!!
