Terrible! They showed up late and drove their vehicle on my lawn beside the driveway. They had no tools to cut tile even though I had told them I needed a tile replaced. My husband had to loan them a cutting tool. The grout started coming back up after a couple of weeks. it took them 3 hours to do a job that should have taken less than 1 hour.

I would never use this company again.

The work was OK. The contractor had an emergency in the middle of the job. I didn't find out for three days. I didn't know if he was gone with my money or not. I would have given a better score if he had let me know about the emergency instead of me imagining the worse for three days.
The best thing he did was re-caulk the bath tub, but following instructions isn't part of Philip's skill set. The new caulk didn't match anything else in the entire bathroom and was of so-so quality and looked rushed.
Now to the shower, two appointments 3 days apart. One to redo the grout and then to come back and seal. I wasn't able to be there to oversee and the person who did, well didn't realize the crappy job being done. My fault for not properly overseeing the work being done.
After the sealing visit... I get home to a shower stall which has been re-grouted with stark white grout (not the ivory grout that was previously there - instructions were explicit - match the color of the existing grout) and supposedly sealed. 1) water test showed immediate penetration so sealing was never done. 2) the excess grout was never removed. I spent 6 hours removing the excess grout from the tile. Several places where grout was removed (previous contractor), didn't get new grout... just a void where grout should be. The same happened around the door hinges, nothing was done between the tile and hinge.
The bottom line, they could have done a good job and chose not to.
They don't want to be paid in any way other than cash and will only communicate via text message. Once they've been paid, they will not return messages.
A complete and utter waist of time and money. Best case I rate these guys as scammers.

They arrived 2 hours late and never notified us that they would be late. One young man was dropped off and started to work right away. He was extremely polite and worked hard for almost 7 hours on a very hot and humid day. The owner left and was gone for at least 3 hours and returned with another fellow who finished the job. The owner left again after dropping the second man off and returned to pick him up about 8p.m.
There were rags left hanging on bushes, a squeegee was left on the porch, and the nozzle to our hose is missing. They used some of our towels, never letting us know and tried to hide them in the bathtub and under a cabinet. They also used our towels and threw them in the dirty clothes hamper soaking wet.
We were not pleased and will not use them again nor can we recommend them.
we wanted the grout in the bathroom between the tiles replaced. They said deal was only to clean the grout and to replace it they would need charge more. The guy said he couldn't take a check or he would have to charge extra, that they needed cash. They also said we needed to provide the cleaning materials for the deal we purchased. So we were dissapointed and didn't end up using the deal.

la.I am still angrey that I let myseelf be bamboozled and I am questioning the whole Angies List concept and especially the value of the Big Deal.
!. The company responded promptly but we never settled on a specific day and time. I didn't know they were coming until they rang the doorbell at 9:00 am.
2. Previously I had asked about procedure. Would someone come early to survey the job and list the supplies needed? or would shopping be part of my 8 hours of skilled handyman services. The question was laughed off as "not the way we do it".
3. On arrival I walked Mr. Lewis about the house pointing out the items on my "to do" list. He took no notes. He focused on the task of hauling old TV upstairs that I agreed to pay a cash bonus. The other helper wanted to see my "to do" list and wrote down the items that needed to be purchased. and then explained the various jobs to Mr Lewis.
4. By 10:30 Mr. Lewis and the skilled handymen were ready to begin work. ( I was paying for 8 hours under the Big Deal. 4.5 hours were used before work began.). One of the helpers was a skilled carpenter and worked very hard and competently to replace the rotten wood around the gutters. The other helper was told to clean the gutters which was not on my list and which I can do myself.
5. At 12 noon or so I tried to discuss the time issue with Mr. Lewis and that I did not want to pay a large extra price. I am easily confused and but understood there was nothing to worry about. And they could not leave while my gutter fascia was incomplete.
6. To my observation Mr Lewis was not visible for approximately 2 hours while skilled helper and assistant worked on fascia and gutter cleaning. Actually I never saw him do any skilled work such as swiinging a hammer, replacing a faucet., removing moldy grout.
7. The final bill included 7 hours skilled work and agreed price to remove old TV. My challenge that I did not want to pay for time that was not spent working on my listed jobs was laughed off and I was told gutter cleaning usually costs $75.00. Feeling threatened I wrote the check.
8. I am thankful the skilled helper knew carpentry to replace the fascia and to replace the gutter, to replace faucet , and to adjust the flapper valve.

Not well....I called ahead of purchasing the Big Deal to ensure they serviced my area. They said that they did but that it would be an additional $25. If you look at their page it does say it serves "Hardin County" with no mention of a fee however I accepted the fee because it was a still a good deal. I told them that I wanted the tile grout repaired in a few places and all of the grout sealed. I was advised that it wouldn't be a problem. They said that with the deal they were really busy and that I'd hear from their office manager to set a date up. I was patient because I do understand how that is. Well a week and a half later on Labor Day morning at 8:30am, their officer manager called and said that she tried to reach me three different times. When I told her that I didn't miss any calls on my cell or my home number or email, she said that it was though the message center on Angie's List and that her crew wanted to come that afternoon. I said "OK, how about 2PM?" Her response was "How about 3?" I accepted that time. About 45 minutes before they arrived and said that they were en route and asked if I'd received her email. I said that it was a holiday and I was really busy so I hadn't been on my email. Her response was "OK, well they're on the way...."

The crew showed up at 3:15PM. It was then explained to me that while I purchased 3 hours of work. because there were two men, I was going to be 1 1/2 hours because it was $79 per man on the crew. He then went on to tell me that Angie's List takes a big cut of the deal and he was only going to make $44 off the job, so he had to make it worth his while. They explained the 3 step process and then I was told that I had to provide all materials to include the cleaning solution. There is NOTHING in the fine print about providing all materials. It says that "customer may be responsible for providing any additional material" but nothing about having to provide everything. They didn't even have a bucket for cleaning the grout.

They told me that they recommended getting caulk for around the quarter round and that I should go get some sealant. I left to go to Home Depot and hurried back. I returned from Home Depot at 4:45 with the requested items. One crew member was already in their van texting. I walked in the house and the other gentleman was finished up. He said that it was getting late and that he didn't want to impose. They wanted to return the following afternoon. I asked what time and he responded with 3PM. I originally accepted that. I went to pay them. He said I owed him $25 for coming out to Hardin County and another $25 because they worked over the original 1 1/2 hours....which just about killed me because one guy was already out in the van and ready to go at the 1 1/2 hour mark and the other was finishing up. I went to write a check and he told me that it was an additional $10 to write a check.....even though their Angie's List page states "check" as their primary mode of payment. I dug out cash and paid them. He walked out the door and when I went outside to get my receipt, they were gone. I tried calling their office that afternoon and the next morning to no avail. I emailed them through Angie's List and told them not to return. I didn't get a response. I tried calling again and their manager finally answered. I asked her if she got my mail detailing my issues and my request to not return. She said yes and that was it. No offer to address my concerns; nothing.

I feel like I was the victim of a bait and switch. Be careful working with this company.

It was ok but I don?t know that I would use him again simply because I had engaged him to put in some drywall and begin the finishing process in a bathroom I was remodeling.

He did that but in the ceiling area, there was a quarter inch difference between the existing drywall and what was put in. They had taken longer than I had anticipated to finish the job so there was an extra charge of $200. They did the job they were contracted for but it wasn?t exactly done right. They were very nice people but the quality wasn't what I had anticipated. When I questioned them about it, they wanted more time and money to fix the problem they had created.

So I would have to take it out and start over. I ended up having to spend numerous hours trying to fix their mistake.

He has not finished the work. He showed up drunk. They would not show up at all or show up 2 hours late. He complained about Angie's List and how he was not getting any money for this deal. In addition to the deal I purchased for $79.00, he charged an extra $125.00. They showed up without supplies then threatened to walk off unless I gave him money to buy supplies. I ran to the hardware store to buy all the supplies needed. They broke my toilet seat and the lid to the tank of the toilet. He called before he came to my house screaming profanities at the woman with him. He was very very bad.
Response from Mr Do It All
"Customer had unrealistic expectations of the deal which she had purchased. She wanted an entire bathroom (floor and wall tiles) re-grouted and some caulking done at the tub. The deal clearly states that it is a caulk and grout "restoration" and it covers 3 hours for one guy, 1.5 hours for two guys, etc. Now, I am learning that common sense isn't really all that common, but for one guy to come in and completely re-grout an entire bathroom is going to take much more than 3 hours. That time is basically gone once the area to be grouted is thoroughly cleaned and dry. Which is my next point, this word "restoration" has proven to be very misleading and is really nothing but a good, deep cleaning and some touch up on the grout/caulk. Furthermore, after re-grouting, the grout has to cure for 24-48 hours before you can seal it(trust me, you want to do that) and we charge a one time $25.00 fee to come back and complete this step. We charge a rate of $25-35/hour over the time allowed by the deal, which honestly, you will not find somebody to re-grout anything that cheap. As for Phillip being drunk, this is extremely absurd. Phillip doesn't drink, so I find that to be quite an unrealistic accusation. Also, I'm not quite sure who the customer heard Phillip cursing at, but I assure you that the only woman it could have been was myself, and it simply is not true. Phillip was not complaining about angies list, he was explaining to the customer that, yes she paid $79, but he only receives 60% of that. Surely she did not think that she was getting her entire bathroom re-grouted for $79.00."

This is a scam company, please avoid, read the review on the guy who had cabinets made too just to confirm. I called after purchasing and asked to setup a time to review a job, I was told he didn't do this and would just show up that morning and we would review. In addition he doesn't do two painters for a day, he only does 4 painters for four hours... this makes a big deal depending on the dry times needed for the job. Then 3 days prior to the job I called to confirm they would be there at 8am like agreed and never heard back. I still went ahead and took that morning off. They never showed, so about 930 I started Googling how to get a refund from Angieslist; then the door rang. No apologies and instead of 4 guys, 3 showed up; we walked around the rooms and the one thing I asked for was that they paint the high ceiling wall on the backside of the steps (there is a back section about 15 feet off the steps). I honestly thought I wasn't asking for much since I did all the prep and he even confirmed this. So they started... I used to paint on a crew 20 years ago to get through school, the one thing we learned was when you are doing the trim and the walls you start by trimming the walls, then paint the walls and by that time the paint should be dry enough on the edges to paint the woodwork. So about an hour in I was surprised to walk downstairs and see they started by rolling the walls, normally one of the last steps. So I had to go to work, the main Mr Do It All wasn't there anymore and the other two were outside smoking in the driveway. When I returned home I found out what a true scam this was. They had only painted the walls in the living room and half painted the woodwork; they didn't paint the edges of the woodwork at all, probably because the wall paint was still wet and in 9 spots had let the roller hit the ceiling. None of the woodwork in the steps area was painted and they had only quickly rolled the wall. In addition to that, the one wall I asked them to paint they didn't, and on top of that told my wife when they left that they would come back and finish for $200 more.... what a SCAM!!!

Avoid this company and this man at all cost, he may be a handy man, but he doesn't know anything about painting. I'm also upset that Angieslist would even offer a coupon for this type of provider.

My synopsis of the issue; Phil informed me right off the bat that the Angies list deal would not apply because the work I needed done required a master carpenter. He then identified he had a master carpenter that could build the cabinets I wanted under my existing bookshelves. He told me that I could request a refund from Angies list, but I told him that I had a number of projects that needed completing so if his crew did well on this project I would use the deal later. He agreed. The job was only supposed to take two days The initial crew he brought to do the job started but made it very clear to me they didn't know what they were doing and that I needed a cabinet maker. This was of course was after I paid for all the supplies and paid them an additional fee for delivery.

Phil assured me he would make if right, so the next day he brings out a guy he said had experience in doing exactly what I requested. Once again I provided pictures of what I wanted done. He needed different supplies and of course needed cash to obtain them. He provided a contract with a 25 year guarantee on the work and an estimated cost of $1474.00. I gave him $700 in cash and it is written as received on the contract. He spent three days at my home no less making an even big disaster of my room and the final product was a catastrophe. When he finished the doors that could be opened were falling off and the paint was beyond belief with handprints etc. They also painted my existing wall and the adjustable bookshelves, along with the trim so that it would "match" the cabinets......The prior paint was oil based and they used a latex based paint so it is like globs of paint that is dripping, bubbling and peeling all over. Then Phil came out and even to his horror recognized the substantial mess that was made and apologized repeatedly stating not to worry he would fix everything. That was only the beginning of my nightmare. $859.00 more paid, 10 days and three crews later I have an even bigger mess. I have over 100 pictures of the project. Before, during and the last date it was touched.

His wife returned my call about what was to be done and I was so relieved because I had not heard from him. She even came out to my house with her Dad and he said they would fix the mess, but asked if I could wait a few weeks because he was working on a big project and I agreed. After two weeks and no call I thought I would likely not use their services again so I should just go ahead and get a refund on the Angies list deal.

So I'm livid with the fact they said they completed the big deal..........I wouldn't care about the Big Deal refund if I didn't have to hire another contractor to come in and renovate. I feel ripped off, my family room is a mess and now I feel like he is basically stealing from me again as well as Angies List.

***I'd like to respond to Mr Lewis's response to my complaint ;

Phil, You had my phone number, email address and even know where I live. Why didn't you contact me? I called and called and your voice mail was always full. Apparently your father in law did not have my correct phone number. When he and your wife came out and explained what could be done to fix all of this I was so excited I could hardly wait for him to call me, but never heard from him. I have no issue with paying $200 plus as I had planned on giving him a bonus when he replaced the distorted wooden boxes with the doors that were falling off as well as the two that were left in the garage. I even had a very easy fix to repair the wall damages your carpenter made when he tore down my wallpaper. You promised you would make this right and I really trusted you would.

I do appreciate you identifying that this project was not a part of the big deal so Angie's List could provide a refund. I'm just really shocked and understandably upset with this mess in my family room. It is still sitting, no shelves, two doors are still in the garage (another one fell off), space open in the flooring, two doors without hardware, paint bubbling, sanded areas without paint etc.

Please provide your father in law my correct phone number and let's make this right.

10/07/14 I have received no calls from anyone, so I will be attaching some pictures of the issues you left me that need what you call Minor repairs.
Response from Mr Do It All
"Customer had unreasonable expectations and understanding of what the deal covered from the beginning. Yes, I dropped the ball as far as who I contracted to do the work. The carpenter that I always use is out of commission due to surgery and his health and it was last minute. I found a replacement who, from what I had seen, was qualified to do the work she wanted. Obviously, things did not work out. In addition, my father-in-law has stated that he called the customer several times and received no response from her. Customer agreed to pay balance to my wife to cover the material her father needed to fix the MINOR issues with the work. Customer needs to understand that I too, was ripped off by this carpenter. I am more than happy to fix the issues but will not take the money out of my pocket to pay for the materials when there.is a $200 balance. The work that was done was not applied to the big deal she purchased. Big deal was never "fulfilled"."

There was supposed to be 1 person for 8 hours or 2 people for 4 hours but one guy did all the work and the other guy just stood there so I wasn't really happy. I pointed out things the one guy could have done instead of just standing there and he said that he would wait for the other guy to do it. I would not recommend them.
