Replaced my bulkhead had to return 3x to fix terrible install, hatchway is leaking worse then the old rusted one that was replaced. Had owner come out just to try and tell me the water flowing in was condensation which it clearly is not so now I have to have a reputable company come fix their hack job. Do not do business with this company they are crooks and don?t stand behind their work..

FRAUD!!! They are hackers!!!!!!!!! Don't ever use for any service! They didn't remove all the mold, they destroyed our vent when clean vents, which they had no idea what they were doing. The wall repair was horrible and you can severely see where they put in the new drywall. The paint job was awful and they got paint on the window, ceiling, and hardwood floor. They didn't clean up their mess, left sheetrock from sanding all over everything. The sheetrock used was warrped and there is an inch divide on a section where the wall meets the window frame. They didn't seal the window correctly and they won't return my calls. I have pictures but this sight doesn't allow me to download them to show the absolute horrible work they did. Not happy that Angi has them on their website and will tell people that Angi isn't a good place to find contractors. I suggest Angi to REMOVE them from their website before Angi goes under because they are recommending horrible companies that do extremely bad work.

William Sweeney DBA Mr. Home is unscrupulous and not a reputable contractor. He hires unskilled and untrained workers. I have had to replace my tools which were damaged and taken. I have had to hire licensed professionals to repair things that were damaged or done incorrectly His untrained workers allowed cement dust to go all over the house and basement. This created a serious health hazard and required hours of cleaning. It also ruined things in the basement that had to be discarded. I would never hire him again. His guarantee of a dry basement is worth nothing; I do not have a dry basement. He preys on people like me who can't afford to sue him.

We had to redo everything. They gutted the whole basement. They did very well. We still have water coming through the floor. But we don't have mold or mildew or anything. The price was pretty fair. What they did they did very very well. They came pretty quickly. They came when we got ready and did it. They did everything when they said they were going to do.

The bush was removed and they raked up and removed all the broken branches, etc. <br /> The entire area was cleaned up nicely.   <br /> In the fall of 2011, I hired Mr. Home for the first time.  I was getting rainwater coming inside on the basement floor after heavy rains. <br />  All along the edge of the interior hatchway door,  they jackhammered the floor to break up the concrete. <br /> Then stones were laid, and fresh concrete mixed and poured, to fill hole again.  And a long grate, the length of the door, was <br /> laid down at the edge of the wall to catch any water that tried to come in. Whatever water came in since then would have joined the sump pump system in the remainder of my basement that is directed outside. <br /> I have not had a drop of water on my basement floor since they did that job.  The cost was $295.00 and so well worth it. <br /> Both times I hired Mr. Home I was very pleased with the outcome.  I would definitely hire them again. <br />

They ended up taking two days to do the work because the stairs were fighting back. They were very prompt. We had no issues when working with them and I was very happy with the service.

Had a great experience with Mr Home puttigf in a basement drainage system. So in another house we used them for their specialty: mold abatement. A pipe has burst and cause extensive damage, then mold. We had to call the better business's bureau to get them to finish the job. They left sheetrock unfinished -- I mean insulation showing-- they just didn't do it. They installed a floor that bugles up and bounces when you step on it. When they came back after months of calling, they did install the dry wall but the floor is a joke. To make things worse, the owner or main estimated is just rude. We're just simply afraid to ask them back yet again because he is so mean. So we'll end up having the floor redone at some point by someone else (I recommend o'Brien's in Easthampton. The folks who work there seem great, but pushed to move on quickly the next job. The experience was awful. <br />

<p>The and quot;man in chargeand quot; was just that. The only thing I saw him do, was tell the other two guys what to do as he was always on his cell phone. The new bulkhead is nice, however they did a lousy job of repairing the concrete where needed, such as filling holes. </p> <p> The waterproofing on the basement walls was/is a joke. For this job, they were to scrape the existing paint from the walls, wash with an acid bath to kill any mold/mildew, the apply a waterproofing sealer. As I checked on their progress several times, it appeared that they were following plan.</p> <p>It wasn't until a month later that we first saw a problem with the wall. The paint that they had applied was peeling and staining. They had not scraped much paint off before painting in fact . When we called to have this problem rectified, Mr Home would not even come out to look at the problem. </p> <p>We learned a lot since then. We now know that there are FOURTEEN items that MUST be included in any contract between a homeowner and a registered home improvement contractor. <strong>first day they showed up to work and got started removing the bathroom ceiling. they were supposed to be checking for, then removing mold. i thought it was odd that they didnt wear masks, protective suits, or anything. according to them, they removed, then sprayed for mold. im pretty sure that was false. after getting into the ceiling, and inspecting they decided that the leak wasnt over the bathroom but in the chimney. i wanted to be absolutely sure it was cause now the price jumped considerably to over $3000. they quickly got to work on taking apart the chimney. once demolished, i didnt hear from them for a while. maybe a couple of weeks. when they finally got back to me they said they hadnt come back cause they were short masons. when they finally did appear the work was here and there. showing up a day or two then not again for a day or two till they were finally done. it didnt rain for a while after they finished, but when it did the water leaked into the bathroom as it usually did. when i called the guy that was on the job he came, looked, applied tar then left. it rained again, it leaked again. so i called the office. waited to be called back. when they called back, they made arrangements to have someone come out and check. when the guy came out he agreed it was the ridge vent that was leaking, and that he would make arrangements for them to come back and do the work they were supposed to do the first time. I NEVER HEARD FROM THEM AGAIN. $3,385 and over a year later my bathroom is still leaking, ceilings still busted and im pretty much left to figure it out for myself. do yourself a favor and NEVER get involved with these people.</strong> <br />

They didn't finish their job and they even had somebody come out and take pictures and he said "I will let them know so that they can come out and take care of this" and I never heard from anybody. And to be careful I will never again use them for anything. They were not found. The did one thing, the sump pump good down in the basement and everything else was unfinished job. They replaced my ceiling upstairs in the bathroom, they never painted it, they didn't finish. After I had to have somebody else come and do it and when I tried to call them I got no response. I was really unhappy with them. They did not follow through.

Everyone at Mr Home was very hepful from the inital quote from the owner who came and gave me several different options to the final clean-up. Weather problems caused a couple day delay, but they answered my questions proffesionally and always kept me updated on when things were going to happen. I was very happy with my services and would love to use them again. <br />

Nothing remarkable stood out to me about them. They were an average contractor. Their communication was very poor. I had to go to their office a couple of times because the scheduling was messed up. They didn't come to my house when they said they would come. They blamed the miscommunication on a new employee. Shortly after that I saw their advertisement on TV and it was that new employee on that. It kind of surprised me that they would use a new employee for an advertisement. I doubted if they were telling the truth.

They worked on the rotten door immediately when they saw it.

They were very prompt and very professional about coming out regarding the mold. They did the tests, but I thought it was a very high price. I think no matter who you call the price is going to be at least $400 and that's probably the average for doing the inside and the outside air tests. They charged $450, so I think that's a little above average. I know that he mentioned that it was Mr. Home's nephew that was coming out and he came with an assistant and they were very professional about giving me information, answering my questions, and sitting down and talking about the overall situation. He went all around my house with me so that I could tell him the problem areas and the difficulties and my specific mold situations. He asked me did I want to have a mold test, so I went with it and it's only since then that I've heard that the tests are quite unreliable from my doctor and/or from someone who had worked for the Lung Association. There are so many variables even though they send them to a professional lab, so I took a chance and I trusted him. I got the lab report and it turns out that my particular molds are in the one location that he did the tests and the indoors was not a problem compared to outdoors. He still was going to try to sell me something and he went over the kind of thing it was and it sounded like a great thing, but I wasn't really sold on buying it but that was okay. I liked that he informed me and it met my expectations as far as the whole thing was concerned. He came out for a home inspection and evaluation which was free because apparently now that I've had Expedient and Mr. Home they were both there to sell me something. Each of them had a different thing that they were selling. I don't know if the Mr. Home thing doesn't work, but I didn't purchase it at this time. If you want to have them come out to assess the situation and take a chance they're good at somethings and maybe not others, but I was very pleased with the professionalism, the information, and everything about the visit. I would probably seek more answers and more information before using their services again.
