They were real good.  The price was a little high, but for this area it was in line.

What a nightmare this has been. Have had to call them back 3 times (once to hook the drain for the waterheater up, once for one of the bathrooms - the toilet was not tightened down nor properly sealed, and the kitchen - when they replaced the garbage disposal they did not tightened down the pipe connections). Today was the last straw the last thing they touched was the toilet in the other bathroom which started leaking. Their work is shoddy, incomplete and substandard. Wish I could have given them lower than lousy. Found another plumber, since I do not wish to waste my time/money or even have them in my house again.

It went well. I like their pricing. It was very straight forward and listed in a book. They have a membership plan that provides for discounts for work. We signed up for year the membership paid and it for itself due the amount work we had done. He did great work and seemed to know what he was doing.

I had not moved into the house yet so the Mr Rooter plumbers worked without me there for two half days. My handyman was there most of the time. I was in and out. I was pleasantly surprised when the bathroom floor had only some broken tiles. A good bit of the pool deck was torn out. The cost was $1000 more than the original estimate. I paid it. Four weeks later all the plumbing backed up again (I lived in the house about two weeks when this happened). The plumber came out and said he didn't replace the pipes under the bathroom floor because my handyman told him not to. Which is the most ridiculous thing I ever heard and then why was the cost $1000 more than the original estimate? This has been an ongoing problem for over two months. Mr Rooter doesn't seem to want to complete the job so they have come out three times. The first time was the when the original plumber came back when the house backed up. I believe he snaked a bit of the pipes. That's when he told me he didn't do the complete job. The other time was for the supervisor to look at the problem and the last time to pour some things down the drains. Unfortunately, it takes many many phone calls and messages before anyone responds to my phone calls. Then they say they'll come and I have to call a few more times before they do. It's been extremely frustrating. Everyone at Mr Rooter is very friendly, but no one seems to want to take responsibility for my ongoing plumbing problems. The original problems (leaking toilet, stopped up kitchen and bath drains) are still there after spending almost $5400 and over two months of hassles. The pool deck is expensive to get fixed and I am wondering if that was even necessary, since it didn't seem to resolve my plumbing problems. I don't have any money left to get a real plumber. I wish I would have checked the internet before hiring Mr Rooter. There is quite a bit of negative information about this company.

After the unit was installed, I noticed that it wasn't working correctly. The guy who came out to install the new water heater, we later came to find out, was only an assistant and not a plumber. When I had my electrician out, he was working near the water heater and touched it and got shocked. The ground and live wires were installed backwards and if not for PVC pipes throughout our house, we would have been shocked in the shower. I was very disappointed with the lack of control over their employees and installation procedures.
