*Project started 5 days after contract promised work begin date. *In the process of connecting new plumbing into rest of system plumber turned off a shut off valve and forgot to turn it back on so there was no water to upstairs master bathroom. He was adamant that he had turned everything back on and told us he would need to tear down walls to get the water working again and this would be an extra charge of at least $2000. Fortunately my wife put a stop to that and we found the valve the plumber had turned off and the problem was solved. *Work overall was poor quality (see attached picture of laundry plumbing and they still failed to tie any of it into exterior drain even after this was requested and promised twice). *They did not clean up after themselves. Extra plumbing supplies/packaging were just tossed on the floor and left wherever. Mud was tracked throughout the house. The laundry room floor picture was taken after they “cleaned”. *They refused to honor Angie’s List 5% off coupon.

Charges were more than excessive. $4000 to put in a clean out access. They had to cut thru my driveway and dig down two feet to reach the sewer line, took them 4 hours. They did half the job and left, took me over two months and repeated calls to get them to return and finish the job. Received outlandish excuses for not returning. The big problem was that they were paid before they finished so no incentive to return.

removed hair clog from bathtub drain, took maybe ten minutes. Over priced and will never use again nor can I recommend them to any one else as their rates in my case was over a thousand dollars an hour.

They were a little high, but it was worth it to have it done right. We are real happy with them.

The problem we had was not in the drainage where they thought. The previous owner hired a plumber to repair a drain and while doing so, they lodged a piece of PVC pipe in the outlet drain from the kitchen down to the drain going to the outside. Mr. Rooter used a camera to trouble shoot the problem and could not recognize what the item was in the drain. They were to come back in a few days, if we called, them back due to their schedule and they would dig up a 3X5' , or later if needed, area outside our garage going toward the house drain to identify the problem by busting out concrete and replacing with new drain pipe, concrete and/or more. The estimate was around $3,500.00 for them to return to do so. We opted to look down the drain with the cell phone light, take a picture ourselves after Mr. Rooter left to see if we could identify what was blocking the drain and that is when our grand daughter stuck her hand and arm down the drain and pulled out a broken 4:piece of PVC pipe that was lodged in the drain coming down from the kitchen sink. Once we removed this, the drains worked great and have continued to do so since. I'm thankful we decided to try to fix the problem ourselves saving at least $3,500.00 or more. I think some companies are too quick to look at he worst scenario just to add up the cost..
Mr Rooter was on time. Gave me an exact price at the time. Went to purchase materials. Did a very neat job, cleaned up his mess, wiped up the floor and gave me a 10% senior discount.

They immediately got started and started snaking the drain. The equipment they were using broke several times and had to be adjusted. They kept going and at approximately 40 feet in to the drain came to what appeared to be an obstruction. They informed me there was an obstruction in the line and provided a estimate of approximately $3900 to dig the line and replace what they believed to be a crushed line. That said, the obstruction was not fixed on the initial visit, but I was informed the original call cost would be deducted from the 5 foot spot fix for the crushed line.
Fortunately, my son in law was here for the holidays and he and I agreed the repair ($3900) was well outside of what was reasonable and that we would attempt to fix the crushed pipe ourselves. My single best decision from the not so good experience above. The Mr. Rooter plumber did show me approximately where the obstruction was outside my home so we started digging there today. We found the obstruction was actually an outside service pipe that had been installed by the previous owner. My son in law and I, opened the service line, relieved the pressure, ran my garden hose down the pipe and completely cleared the obstruction. All that said, I went from a costly service call ($262) to a $3900 repair in about 40 minutes using Mr. Rooter. Maybe if the equipment had been in better condition it would have gone through the pipe easier, don't know. I had used Mr. Rooter about 2 or so years ago and had a completely different experience and paid just under $100 (still costly) for the exact same service and that representative was able to rund the snake clear to the road, over 100 feed. Overall, nice representatives, not so good equipment, maybe a little more expertise prior to going for a costly repair. Thank goodness my son in law was home. We were actually done by 3PM, I now know the location of the outside service access and had a nice lunch as well. Again, get an estimate on the phone before you have them come to your home.

The two representatives that arrived from Mr. Rooter were on time and very professional (even wore boot covers inside the house!). We talked about the work I needed done and they worked up a quote. The price was below what I expected so I of course asked them to go ahead and start.

My previous set of gas logs has been installed by someone who did not know the codes so of course it was impossible for me to change them out without turning off the gas to the house. A shut off should be installed within five feet of any appliance. The representatives from Mr. Rooter shutoff the gas to the house and proceeded to correctly install the shut off and flexible extension for my gas logs as well as installing a shut off for my water heater.

The representatives from Mr. Rooter even helped install the gas logs (which they don't do). They went above and beyond the call of duty. Plus they even answered every question my kids threw at them. I would HIGHLY recommend them.
