We hired MRT Construction to purchase and lay 12-tons of River Jack rock in our backyard. They only delivered 4-tons. The owner, Mike Tate, said repeatedly that he would come back out to finish the job but never has. We paid his company a total of $3,000. $2400 in check to MRT Construction and $600 in cash to his foreman that said it was due in order to finish the job. We asked for a refund and he has refused to refund our $2,000 for the amount that was not delivered or installed. He has many reasons for why he will not refund any of our money, but one of them was that he said his brother who was working for him at the time as his foreman stole from him and did not give MRT Construction the $600 in cash we paid in person. However, even if this was true, that still doesn't explain how the $2400 check that was written to MRT Construction can't be refunded. When we called Volusia Shed they verified that MRT had ever only purchased 4-tons of rock. The other rock distributers also did not have any orders from MRT Construction. Mike Tate and MRT Construction refuse to provide any copies of receipts as well. We have filed a formal complaint with the Better Business Bureau and are taking the next steps to receive our refund. MRT Construction has not responded to the BBB. This is a very dishonest company to say the least. If you do use them, do not give them any money up front.

"Hello first off that was not the truth what so ever. Here is the real truth, my brother was the one that got the job For us which I didn’t mind so I went and an paid for all the material that they needed to do the job. I went there to check on them at the job and they were all working and the dump trailer had rock inside it and I asked my brother if he is going to get the rest of the rock I ordered for them and he said yes, now I leave trusting my brother and then come to find out y’all asked him to do a side job he never finished but y’all gave him money and then my brother asked you for the remaining balance of my money that you should of never gave him in the first place. I never steal from anyone and iam very professional with my company. I’m not the one who did wrong here I had them do the job and even after all this happen I even tried to make it right with you guys because I felt bad for what happen and all because I couldn’t be there on your time due to other work I had to finish y’all are bad mouthing me for no reason and lien. My next step is filing a police report for harassment on someone that isn’t true."

He told me the sealing would dry today but its flat and bubbly and it was horrible. They are suppose to move the palm tree w/c didn't happen.
