I thought it was funny when they came to look at the project at 9:30 at night when it was dark. They began the job very late in the day and did not finish until way after dark. He promised me that he would set my 4x4's in the ground and with concrete. Instead they built up concrete around while the 4x4's were on existing block. And they added more posts that were kicked out from underneath by my inspector, who represents a top real estate company in Knoxville, with one tap of the hammer. He also knocked the concrete off where they had it and it would not support the vibration of the hot tub. M&S said my deck was not up to code, but I verified that with the inspector and he said it was. He said that it was nothing but CRIMINAL WORK THEY DID. I paid them in cash so as to help them out because they had a little girl. I want ALL of my money returned to me-$840. VERY DISGUSTING AND SICKENING WORK. Please remove them from this site-they do NOT know what they are doing. I WOULD UPLOAD PHOTOS BUT YOUR SITE DOES NOT ALLOW THAT.

"First of all I’m going to begin with apologizing for the work not being up to your satisfaction. Also ma’am a refund would be considered if we didn’t make sure several times while we was there in person with you if the work was what you wanted and what you thought? Your reply to us the night the work was completed was “ I love it so much thank you all so much, I want to set up another appointment so you all can come back and estimate putting the rest of the posts underneath my deck.” You were overly satisfied when we were there, when we do a job we give the customer SEVERAL chance to let us know if there’s something we need to fix before leaving! Also 2 weeks later when you finally contacted us stating that you were not happy with the way we installed your posts because you had it inspected and it didn’t check out, then we offered to come back and redo the WHOLE job as long as your inspector would email/fax us a copy of his inspection and what exactly was wrong with it, which then you quit responding because there were never a true inspection done on the house! So with all that being said we at M&S Construction take pride in the things we do and we stood by every single guarantee we give our customers and fulfilled all our responsibilities and they were all approved before putting our name on it, so I am truely sorry you had a bad experience with us and I wish you luck on receiving work that will stay up to your expectations permanently! At this time a refund will not be given. Thank you for giving us an opportunity and have a great day!"

Matt with MS was great. They contacted me the same day as requested. He performed the work 2 days later. His quote was very reasonable and he completed the work in one afternoon. The quality of the work was outstanding and he cleaned up all the debris and left the work area cleaner than it was before. I will definitely call MS again if I have any other projects.
