About us
Hello, I would like to introduce myself. I'm Dan Muir, born and raised in Portland Oregon. I went to Centennial High School and have a five year degree from Multnomah University. I began painting in 1973 to work my way through college and continued after graduation. I began on old Portland homes and soon perfected the preperation necessary to produce long lasting, quality paint jobs. I make an effort to be prompt and timely, to insist on quality, and employ people who are well versed in comunicating with customers who may have questions or concerns. I have been quite successful in painting largely due to my overall dedication to good preparation, the use of quality materials and the knowledge of the many dynamics in this particular industry. Good paint jobs do not happen by accident. It takes an organized effort with people that know the business. I hope you will trust me with your home or your commercial property and I promise I will do all I can to make the painting experience a pleasant one. Our license number is 47305 and everyone that works for me is on payroll and fully insured. You can contact me directly at 503 810 6105. You can also look us up at www.muirpainting.com. Exterior Painting and Staining Service
The crew did a fantastic job. I couldn’t be more satisfied of the work they did in ONE day. As many others said, the crew worked hard and most importantly had good attitude! Even on a 90+ degree weather. I highly recommend Muir Painting if you want to get your house painted quickly and for a reasonable price.

Exterior Painting and Staining Service
Muir did a beautiful, very reasonably priced job painting the exterior of my 2700 sq.ft. Home. I was skepical what kind of job they could do in one day, but the large crew that came knew exactly what they were doing, and worked seamlessly, hard, fast but still very carefully. They were amazing to watch and so respectful. Great communication. They did a thorough prep, and were meticulous with details. The week before the house was power washed and they had it ready to go. I loved that they would call and text back almost immediately and showed up when they said they would. Also they put everything back in place when they left. Was a win win to have it done so quickly. We could have had dinner on the patio that night. Would recommend them highly to anyone.

Exterior Home or Structure Painting or Staining Service
We recently hired Dan Muir and his crew from Muir Painting to paint the exterior of our home, and we couldn't be happier with the results. The attention to detail was outstanding. His foreman, Matt, and the rest of the crew did meticulous prep work and painting all the way up to the final clean-up. Dan is professional, easy to communicate with, and clearly takes pride in his work. If you want a high-quality paint job that looks like it will last, look no further!"

When I sent email on September 1 requesting an estimate and schedule for getting the exterior of my house painted, I expected to be put on their spring waitlist. Instead, I was super surprised to get a call back that Muir Painting was scheduling about 2-3 weeks out! Too good to be true? Not according to all the reviews I read. And they delivered! Great communication from Dan, the owner! He sent a guy over on Saturday to powerwash the house. A crew of 8 showed up the following Monday at 7am to scrape, tape, paint and clean up. They finished the whole house plus a shed by 4pm! We have a split level house with awkward eaves and 3rd story overhangs. This wasn't a simple, 1-story ranch! I asked them not to paint my downspouts or wood stove chimney pipe. They carefully taped everything off. The house looks great! They did a good job of cleaning up after themselves. They didn't break anything or stomp all over the landscaping in the process. Highly recommend!

These guys did an AMAZING job. I wanted some new awnings before my paint job, and Dan hooked me up with one of his guys who created 3 beautiful awnings for me and fixed up some siding that had rotted before the rest of the painters came in. On a whim, I asked if Dan’s crew could complete the external paint job in time for a big birthday party I was hosting and he managed to knock it out with time to spare WHILE HE WAS HAVING HEART SURGERY. I mean, if that’s not above and beyond I really don’t know what is. The crew was fantastic and accommodating, and they were laughing and seemed to really enjoy the work, which is always a welcome thing to know that the people working on your home enjoy what they do. For a random Angi find, these guys surpassed my every expectation AND did it all at a reasonable cost and within a reasonable timeline. I can’t recommend them enough.

Super happy. A top-quality job again. This is the third time we’ve had them come – twice for interior painting and once for the whole outside of the house. Though their bid was significantly less than others we received, the work was excellent and it has lasted several years. Dan’s team has obviously been trained in excellence. They were meticulous in their masking and it showed in the results. The trim was super smooth and the lines where different paint colors met were straight. The team was on-time, communicated clearly all through the job, ensuring that all the details of the various colors were all correct, and they kept me updated on their progress. They restored all fixtures to their original location and did a thorough job cleaning up. In summary, we will gladly hire Dan Muir painting for any of our painting needs in the future and give them, with full integrity and confidence our highest recommendation.

Muir Painting did a fantastic job painting the exterior of my mid- century home. Dan Muir was concise and fair in his pricing and stayed in communication with me throughout the process. All of the professionals who completed the project ( in 1 day!!) were pleasant, punctual and skilled craftsmen. I especially want to give kudos to Matt and Justin for their leadership and assistance. I am thriving with the results and highly recommend Muir Painting!

Matt and crew were very efficient. Always double checked with me and made sure all exterior was painted agreed upon in the proposal. However, some small touch ups were needed after job was completed, after my inspection! They didn't return after a couple of calls made.
