The steps slope inward and collect water, this is going to be such a slip and fall hazard in the winter. The patio itself slopes in all different directions and can't even accommodate my hot tub it's so uneven were having to have a separate stand built for it (you can see by the photo that shows the entire view of the patio, you cant see the border from one side to the other because its so uneven). the contactor knew in advance exactly where I was putting the hot tub. I asked him to run underground conduit so that the wires would be hidden, he ran the wrong kind of conduit using plumbing pvc instead of electrical with an elbow that the wire cant go through so its not even useable so I ended up paying another contractor to come run the correct type of PVC and now the PVC sits on top of my patio (what an eyesore). One of the control joints doesn't even span the length of my patio, it goes 3/4 of the way through, stops and starts again in a completely different spot. The stamps aren't lined up in some areas they look so fake. The concrete is chipping apart. And he put a piece of 2x4 in font of my basement window blocking our access, he should have made a window well and ran the concrete below the window. When I tried to discuss my dissatisfaction and how it could be fixed the owner Mike stated "satisfaction isn't guaranteed" and blamed me for not doing enough research on poured concrete. Unfortunately, he was already paid in full by my finance company.

lkkllWork was done promptly and carefully, with little disruption of basement. Included was the installation of a sump pump.
In the two years since installation, the system has worked beautifully and the walls, parts of which had gotten very wet, are now completely dry.
Just o.k.. Guy seemed annoyed that his company had to deal with Angie's List. Basically told me that it wasn't really worth his companies time to give estimates through Angie's List. Gave minimal effort and turned me off on Angie's List... turns out he was right. Just bought a pre-winter check from a roofing contractor through Angie's List for $99. This guy gave me nothing near what I spent. So I recently cancelled my membership.
The plan provided could have been done by anyone with a computer and the program. The cost was $49.00 but it was advertised as costing several hundred dollars. What we got may have been worth $49.00 BUT it was not worth several hundred. We also had to call several times to get the final plan.
08/29/14 Municipal Services of America (MSA) came out to the property, dug a hole in an area on the lawn that was not the proper location for the sewer drain. M.S.A. dug an additional hole for the sewer drain. I cannot confirm if the work that was listed in the contract was completed because M.S.A. covered the pipe and work allegedly completed before the city inspector could inspect the work. Additionally, M.S.A. removed excess soil from the property and hauled it away. I was informed that all soil should stay on top of the filled hole so that the ground could settle and there would be no indentation left on the lawn. There is approximately 1 foot indentation in the lawn. M.S.A. never returned to remove soil and allow the city to inspect the work performed. M.S.A. never returned to install trees, topsoil, or grass seed. I tried calling the company from my phone number and they did not answer the phone. When I called from a restricted number they answered; the secretary said that someone would be out to take a look and no one has come out yet. Additionally, the inspector has not returned to follow up.

09/08/14 Update:

Municipal Services of America retaliated because I submitted complaints to Angie's list and the BBB. They came out with out calling me or giving me notice and dumped dirt and grass seed on my lawn. They did not ring the door bell or anything. My family member looked out the window and noticed they were doing work. The family member called me because I was not at home. They left without saying anything. I do not want them on my property ever again. A new company will have to start over so the inspector can confirm that work was done and an appropriate landscaping must be done after the job is approve. MSA stay off of my property. (See previous post with F rating for August 2014 for a reference to this on going issue)
Response from Municipal Services of America
"We were hired to install a sanitary sewer backflow preventer. Customer was dissatisfied with the ground settling where we had excavated to install our product. At the customer’s request, we promptly returned with additional topsoil and grass seed. No one answered the door and seemed like no one was home. We followed every procedure, pulled proper permits and had job inspected."

It was a horrible experience! They came out and took a quick look at my flooded basement and said I needed a new $20k foundation. I got a second opinion and that company said it was absolutely unnecessary. I've had no issues since then.

Everything was fine until concrete dried. The patio is 20x25 and 1/3 of the patio is discolored and the finish is completely wrong. I contacted the provider between the week of May 28-June 6 everyday and he finally contacted me on June 6. Since that contact on June 6 and I have heard nothing from him. I have provided pictures and additional texts message since with no response.
Response from Municipal Services of America
"Customer hired us to install a patio. She requested the patio to have color. We used the color she picked out, and finished it with the traditional broom finish which is standard in our industry. There isn't anything defective with the patio. We are returning at least 30 days after the installation to install railings. Slight color variations is normal when using color in cement."

It was okay. The person who came out seems to be okay. I didn't get what I wanted other than a new estimate for some additional work.

The Big Deal was for the initial assessment, which they did, and they then gave us an estimate for the waterproofing. We found their estimate to be middle-of-the-road price-wise but we've decided to go a different direction to have the work done.
