It went pretty good. It was my first time using Angie’s List, and it went very well. They were on time, which was surprising since everyone I have worked with in the last 15 years has been late to major jobs. I would recommend them to others.

Mr Murphy responded the same day to my call after water started coming in through the bedroom ceiling. He repaired where he thought it had happened but promised to come back immediately if it didn't work. Leaks are tricky to find if they aren't huge,  and a week later it leaked again after storm. As promised Mr. Murphy and one of his wonderful workers came back immediately, investigated and this time found the true leak, fully repaired it, gave me a year's warranty - and on top of that went out of his way to locate matching tile and replace any he saw that were cracked. <br /> He is a pleasure to work with, genuine and responsive. Wish there were more like him in Miami! <br />

Everything went great.  It was a positive experience from end to end.  He was always on time, and gave me options throughout the process.  I can't say enough about him.  He unsolicitedly came and checked my roof when we had hurricanes.

Denis Murphy came to my rescue after hurricane Wilma when FEMA wouldn't.  Keeping my rental tenants dry until he could replace the destroyed roof and finishing the job with most sturdy roofing material available.  The roof still looks new.  More recently Denis replaced about 1000 square feet of termite damaged roof over my sun deck and matched the materials to the old roof perfectly.  Fair, honest and on time. <br />

Dennis Murphy came, gave estimate, did IBC work, answered calls any time and helped locate leaks in old roof and fixed that. Passed inspection easily

The original contractor left me with a new metal roof without obtaining the final inspection from the City of North Miami. Mr. Murphy stepped in, pulled a new permit and obtained a final inspection from the City of NM within one week. I had hassled with the previous contractor, known to me personally for 15 years, for a year and a half to obtain the final inspection. Through a series of circumstances, I had paid the original contractor the balance of the contract, not ever dreaming that he would blow off the final inspection. My mistake. Mr. Murphy came to my rescue through another friend who recommended him. Obtaining his service was the best move I made. He was more than fair, friendly, courteous and professional. I would highly recommend him to anyone. <br />

Murphy's Roofing replaced our entire tile roof in October 2009.  They were courteous, prompt, professional, and honest.  The owner, Denis Murphy, was absolutely fantastic.  They provided a written estimate and they even came in under budget! <br />

Overall, we had an excellent experience with Dennis and Murphy Roofs.  The price was right, the service was excellent, his team worked quickly and efficiently.  We would recommend them to anyone looking for a new roof.   <br /> Dennis provided us with photos of the process so that we would have them for our records and to show the insurance company, and because of the new roof we got a huge discount on our insurance with Citizens.  He also was BY FAR the lowest price of the roofers we quoted, and his qualify and service was outstanding!  We know the roof will be good for another 30 years at least. <br />

They did a good job.  They were punctual and finished in the amount of time that he quoted.  He did  a new inovative roof.  We tried the one section of the roof and it has worked well.  We anticipate having them return to do the other sections.

Dennis Murphy visited the job several times daily to ensure his workers were performing the work properly.  Dennis was always on hand when the city inspector showed up and worked out the inspectors requirements without any extra cost to me.  They left the property in the condition they found it and were careful to clean up on a daily basis. They cleaned all of the asphalt drips up. <br /> <br /> Direct TV had draped the coaxial cable for the TV across the roof and the roofers carefully protected the cable so that TV service was never interrupted.  I think most roofers would have just cut the cable when it was in their way. <br /> <br /> My elderly parents live in the house and Dennis kept them in the loop and carefully explained to them what to expect at every turn.  He advised us on the best way to protect the furniture during the tear off since they have an exposed beam ceiling and some debris would filter through.  Dennis stopped in every day and discussed the days' work with my parents from material and dumpster delivery before the work started, every work day and even on rain days when he couldn't work.   <br /> <br /> Murphy started when he said he would and finished within the work days he alloted. I was concerned that the addition of 1-1/2" insulation would add to the roof profile and be visible from the street.  We agreed that a 2 foot taper of the insulation over the eaves would keep the profile at the fascia the same and Dennis worked with the city of North Miami to work out an appropriate installation method that would meet the Miami Dade  hurricane code, all at no extra cost.  I am very pleased with the finished product. <br /> <br /> Dennis was very solicitous to my parents and I felt very comfortable trusting him with them.  His workers were cordial and respectful.  When my mom expressed that she wanted the tiles on the driveway removed Dennis had his kettle man scrape up all the tiles and disposed of them in his dumpster again at not extra cost.

We spent extra money on quality replacement and it has saved us $100-$200 a month in electric bills over past year.

MURPHY ROOFS IS VERY DEDICATED TO THEIR WORK AND VERY PROFESSIONAL. THE ROOF WAS COMPLETED BY THE TIME IT NEEDED TO BE COMPLETED. WE HAVEN'T HAD ANY PROBLEMS, SUCH AS LEAKING, WITH THE ROOF.
