They sent out Victor. He is a nice guy. We have dealt with him a couple of times before. He brought the parts with him, and had the seal fixed in under an hour. The price was reasonable, and thanks to the good people at My Appliance Repair Houston the whole experience was very painless. This is a great company, and great service companies are hard to find. If you have a broken appliance in the Houston area you should give them a call.

I was having problem with my sub-zero fridge.  I wanted an assessment of whether the fridge could be fixed or needed replacement, and I was counseled by Henry (who appears to be the owner) that I had a freon leak, but the fridge could be rebuilt to be as good as new (except for the box) because every part in the fridge would be replaced.  Henry stated that this fridge was a particularly good candidate for rebuilding because it doesn't have any computer components, unlike later models.  I was quoted a cost of $3,000 and told I would receive a year warranty.  Given those representations (weighed along with the fact that replacement costs exceed $9000), I opted for a rebuild.  Following the rebuild, I wasn't satisfied that the warranty I discussed was the warranty on the receipt, so they wrote in 1 year warranty "on whole fridge."  The receipt is dated August 18, 2013.   <br /> Since that time, either the fridge or the freezer has stopped cooling and required repairs at least once a month.  I have to take off work for them to come out, and then I have to make arrangements again to be around when they bring parts to actually attempt to fix it.  I have had the temperature gauges replaced (which requires welding) twice on the unit.  Most recently the new brand new compressor on the fridge broke down, and I was told that the compressor was blown because during a prior repair they overfilled the freon in the unit.  I have been without a fridge for nearly two weeks for this repair.  For each repair, I have had to throw out significant amounts of food due to the lack of refrigeration and the untimely response to my request that they honor the warranty. <br /> Turning back to this round of repairs, I was assured last Saturday morning that they would have the correct compressor and be able to install it Tuesday night.  The technician (Manuel, who is at least polite) did not show.  More specifically, at 2:45 in the afternoon I called to confirm that he was planning to be there.  He assured me he would be.  At 6, I received a call from Jacob, of the dispatching team, indicating that Manuel had car troubles that day and would not be able to make it.  I called Manuel to confirm and ask what the problem was, and he indicated that the problem was that he still needed another part.  I pointed out the inconsistency between what Jacob told me and what Manuel told me, and I received no explanation. <br />

Everything went well.  They were very professional and knowledgeable, and we had the problem fixed in fifteen minutes thanks to them.  We also appreciated their honesty as they could have used the situation to their advantage, but they did not.

Henry was punctual and professional. He called prior to arrival and was efficient and honest. <br />
