I would definitely recommend you think twice before hiring My Guys Moving Company. You definitely get what you pay for, and boy did I. We contracted them for our move and while the price was better than that of their competitors, it was not worth the headache and hassle we currently have on our hands. I should note that they NEVER offered additional insurance for the move - something I gladly would have paid for. On move day they showed up almost 2 hours LATE and ill-prepared and could not make it up my driveway in their truck. We had to reschedule for the next day when they brought a second truck to ferry things down to the other truck. It stands to note that at the end of the move, they pulled a little bait and switch the following day saying their guys wrote down the wrong time on the paper (that I had already signed for approval) and ended up needing to charge my card almost an additional $200 because the times were incorrect. During the course of the move a $2,000 headboard was badly damaged. According to their policies they only pay .60 per pound for damaged items and at their discretion will pay that insulting amount, repair or replace. You can guess what they chose, right? They offered me $100 for a solid mahogany headboard that has an entire chunk missing from the top of it with a crack straight across it. We declined and countered that $750 would be an appropriate and fair compensation for a beautiful custom made item they destroyed, and were told the owner was being “gracious” and “generous” in offering us $100, since we really only “should be getting $50,” for our claim. after much back and forth with Kellie, I had reached my breaking point and let her know they are a garbage company and the offer was beyond insulting. My husband and I decided to settle for the $100 since that’s all they can afford to pay when they damage items, and when I let Ms. Kellie know I would be dragging their garbage company’s name thru the mud with my honest review of my experience, she said she was going to speak with the owner about what I said about their company, as if he would decide to rescind the offer - which I do have in writing via email. We are now at a crossroads, as I am waiting for the owner to make an attempt to rescind the offer, so that I can not only sue them for the full value of the headboard, but also for the cost of the move itself and court costs associated with the filing of a suit. In short, they uncharged me almost $200 for their clerical error, and now are jerking me around on appropriate compensation for my headboard. Avoid these people at all costs. Pay whatever extra money you have to, to go with someone else as you are sure to get screwed over by My Guys Moving.

"We here at My Guys Moving are thankful for all comments that we get from our customers, good or bad. What we would like to do is to clear up some of the statements that were made. With the regards to us offering additional insurance; if you read over the terms and conditions, which is sent at the time of booking your move, it is stated as follows: "It is recommended that the Shipper purchase insurance, either through the Company or a third party, to protect against loss or damage to articles and property being moved". The terms and conditions also explains about what type of insurance is offered with the move, which is standard for all moving companies. It also details the way a claim is handled. It stated that the item can be replace, but it's based upon the coverage that you have, which in your case was the Industry standard coverage of 60-cents per pound, with a maximum of $50 per item. We offered double of what was required even though the fault of the damage of the headboard was questionable since it occurred when our guys were not in the room at the time of the incident. On the day of your scheduled move, we arrived to discover that your driveway had been washed out, for which we were not notified, and we were not able to access your property with our truck. With your permission, we rescheduled for the following day and brought an additional smaller truck to access your home and shuttle your goods to our larger truck. You were not charged for the initial trip made to your home, nor were you charged for the second truck on the following day even though we incurred cost of labor and fuel. Yes, the Guys were late on the day of the move, and we do apologize for that inconvenience; however, you were not charge for their lateness, being that the time doesn't start until the Guys arrive and it ends once they are finished with your move. For the time issues that you said we charged you an additional $200, the Guys wrote the time down on the top of the paperwork, which you approved, but just didn't calculate it correctly at the bottom of the page. It was only a one-hour difference of $139, not $200, for which we called you about and got your approval before running the additional corrected amount on your card."

The move was seamless. The moving crew (Travis, Mart, Kenny & Justin) were very professional and got the loading and unloading done quickly without any damage to the goods or the house. They were also very accommodating to requests for moving some items within the house. The original estimate I got from David was within 5% of the final cost, and there were no hidden fees/costs. The communication from the local office (Kellie) on scheduling and payments was very good. Highly recommend this company for moving and storage!

It went very smoothly even though it was one of the hottest days of the summer. They arrived on time, were very polite and friendly, as well as careful and caring. A couple of days later they stopped by to deliver a caster that they'd found that had fallen off one of the furniture pieces. The head of the crew was exceptionally professional.

<p>Horrible service on front end. Called to make reservation and requested 2 trucks. Despite knowledge that 2 trucks were needed (have moved multiple times), still had to set up appt for estimate. Requested date which was a Friday. Estimate done on Wed and confirmed for 2 trucks. Received call next day and informed that Friday was no longer available d/t needing 2 trucks. Given option of Thursday which was the day we were closing on new house. No other options d/t short turn around. Ended up with movers sitting in driveway of new house for ~1.5 hrs which we PAID for.</p> <p><br /></p> <p>Will not use again nor recommend. Poor customer service in front office. The movers themselves were very efficient and worked fast. </p> <br />

I needed furniture movers and My Guys Moving came up. I chose them because they offer moving and storage, as well. Steve and Chad did a great job, arrived on time, were very courteous and professional. They took great care with my newly purchased furniture. I would recommend them and use them, again.

"The moving team arrived earlier than the estimated arrival time, and was ready to go to work as soon as they got off the truck. I was able to leave specific instructions and felt comfortable enough to leave and work on other things. At the destination, the team was quick to unload and took direction well from my wife as they unloaded furniture. They took extra care not to damage any of our flooring which was greatly appreciated. Each of the 3 team members received a substantial tip which I believe they all earned."

Kenny and Steve P are the best movers I have ever had. Even my new and old neighbors comments on how hard they worked and said they would definitely hire them when they moved. I am really impressed by them. They are also nice guys.

Anthony and another man (his name escapes me) arrived 10 minutes early. Extremely friendly. Pointed out goods to be moved, spoke with about time and budget. They promptly started moving things. Move was completed on time and on budget. Super guys!!
