Bjorn is great to work with. His wife responded to my call, set the appointment, and sent a confirmation email. Bjorn showed up on time and was very professional while at our home. He looked at the house, got all the information he needed and sent us a quote the same day. After looking at the other quotes, I chose MHR. They showed up when they said they would, the tear off crew foreman Marcos was awesome. The install crew foremen Albert and Jose were great. The team that installed the gutters was amazing. Everyone was super courteous and professional. They all took the time to ask if I had any questions, asked me to look over the work when it was completed, and went to great lengths to clean up afterwards. I would hire My House Renovation again without reservation.

It can be very scary for a single 60 year old woman to put out more than $25,000 for a new roof on an average 3 BR 2 BA single story home. That being said, I am completely satisfied and impressed with the work that My House Renovation did, including high quality materials, excellent laborers, and tightly organized oversight by the owner. My House Renovation was GREAT! From the beginning to the end of this process, they made sure that we understood exactly what was going to happen, was happening, and what had happened. The owner, Bjorn Metzger, made it his business to communicate with us everyday, whether the team was actually working on the roof or not, and kept me up to date about what to expect with inspections, necessary extra repairs (our house is over 50 years old), and expected time of completion. Micah, who did the initial assessment, worked closely with us to make sure that the financing worked for us. The workers on the job itself were there within a day, and were efficient and unfailingly polite and professional--to say nothing of getting the job quickly. Best of all, they were very thorough in cleaning up after themselves; I didn't find any debris from the roof replacement anywhere in my yard after the job was done--an important thing, since I have pets.I and my family are VERY pleased with the work that My House Renovation has done, and recommend them highly.

Bjorn Metzger was a pleasure to work with. He walked me through every step in the roof replacement process from tear down to putting finishing touches on the last row of shingles. His crew were incredibly skilled and dedicated to working long arduous hours in near 100 degree heat. Always punctual, cleaned up all the debris and nails from tear down to Final Inspection. My House Renovations replaced our windows and gigantic patio door this spring and it has made a huge difference. Not only in the curb appeal (and equity!) of our house, but the windows also reduce the temperature in our house about 10 degrees, which is priceless during this heatwave! The products as well as the craftsmanship they offer are the highest quality. I was home with my toddler while they were completing our project and the crew were so considerate and polite and made me feel very comfortable - even in tight quarters. The sales team and project manager answered all of my many questions and went above and beyond to be sure we were getting what we wanted. The entire exchange was very honest and transparent. After dealing with other renovation companies in the past, I was very pleased with MHR's integrity and quality.

We had a couple issues with a 7th window with an unusual angle, which was unable to be made. MHR tried finding a manufacturer who could make the window, which caused a delay - we decided to remove the 7th window from our order. It was a frustrating process for us but unavoidable with the type of window we had. We are happy with the quality of the window product. The communication between the installer and the HQ didn't happen on a damaged screen however when I called about it, they sent someone out the same day to repair the screen. I was pleased with their response to that. <br />

Installers were friendly, easy to work with and paid attention to details, the result turned out great. They isolated the dirt to the work area as well as can be expected and cleaned up at the end of each day. The communication was not so good - schedules changes were not conveyed very well - we were fortunate to be flexible and able to adapt on short notice. As both a positive and a negative: the project left many details unspecified: on the plus side, we were able to make adjustments as the project went on that improved the final result and had no issues with the installers accommodating them; on the negative side, there were a number of minor items (of insignificant cost compared to the whole project) that we did not realize we needed to supply which lead to some last minute scrambles to keep things on track. There were also several errors made on their part due to poor communication between the general and sub contractors, but these were all corrected in a timely manner. In summary, the workmanship was very good, the cost was perhaps a bit high but maybe appropriate for the quality, the communication could have been much better. <br />
