There was lack of communications from the start. I called them and emailed them and never got a response. The job was done in two phases. First, the old driveway was removed and the underlayment was put in. The two men who did this from what I could tell did a good job. A couple of weeks went by and I still could not get hold of them by phone or email. Finally they called and said there were coming out to remove the old driveway and put in the underlayment. I told them that it had done weeks before. She got all excided and said they would have a paving crew out there before the end of the week. What I believe happen, she told the crew that would have to fit our driveway in with the rest of the work . So they came out and did the whole job in less that a hour. First, they dug out underlayment in several spots. They decrease the size of the about 1500 sqft. They then started pouring the asphalt by hand and did it very eruditely. Finally, they used small portable roller to roll it instead of the large roller vehicle you are suppose to use. Of course it was impossible to communicate with them. They finally called looking for their money and I told about them about all the problems, and she said they would send out the crew supervisor to inspect the driveway. That of course never happened. I had got them from Homeadvisor and on there site I wrote a review indicating what had happen. Homeadvisor deleted the review and remove me from there list. I say this because I couldn't find the review anymore and I couldn't log on to the site.

Finally, I complain to the Better Business Bureau. They investigated and found that Nardi would communicate with them, and found several other people who had similar complains. As a result of this the BBB lowered their rating from A+ to F- and would leave it there for three years. So if you were to go to the BBB site you should be able to see this for yourself.

The work was provided over a two week period and communication from Nardi was very poor as to timing and when each task would be performed. The old driveway was removed in August and the new driveway was laid down early September. This process went according to plan, however the resulting issues after the driveway was laid down is the reason I am providing poor review. The area before the drains had immediate issues after the work was performed. Water pools up in a significant amount and does not flow into the drains, one of the main reasons we had the driveway done. I contacted Nardi in September after the first heavy rain and was told by Ana that this is normal and once the driveway settles and the oils absorb the water it should be fine and was told to wait a month. I waited a full month or more until the next heavy rain and sent pictures to Nardi's email. I followed up by phone and left messages to no avail or contact. I sent another set of photos on November 20th and Ana followed up indicated someone would come out to look at the issue..No one came. Finally on December 7th I sent another set of photos inidcating concern that the weather is beginning to turn and that no one has come out; I gave the business a last chance before I contact the BBB and Angie's list I also left a voicemail. An assistant named Debbie called me back apologized and said that by December 18 all repairs for all customers would be done; Its January 4, 2016 - no one has come to repair and no phone call from Nardi at all since December 7. This was the worst contractor experience I have had in 20 years as a CT homeowner.

The installation of the driveway, curtain drain and downspouts were fine with the exception of the fact that a substantial amount of asphalt residue and tar were left on the trim work of my garage (3 bays) and downspouts and asphalt was piled into the first level of vinyl siding on my garage. In addition, the workers' trash, including water and soda bottles, pieces of asphalt and rock were left at the job site. Multiple requests were made of the contractor to remove the trash, extra asphalt and rock and, moreover, to clean the extra asphalt and tar from the trim work of my garage and downspouts. Notwithstanding these requests the contractor did not clean up the items. Multiple weeks after request, I cleaned the items in question at my own cost and time. One week later the contractor sent his wife to the job site with an inadequate cleaning solution. I advised her that I had already rectified the problem. In response to this situation the contractor provided a $150.00. credit. This was neither fair or adequate.

I delayed payment of the final installment due under the contract because of these issues. I thereafter, on a Sunday afternoon, received a nasty and threatening telephone call from the contractor. The contractor advised that if the final balance was not paid by week's end he would come to my home a rip up one-half of the driveway. In addition, the contract advised that he had been to my residence that day and had marked in white paint the point from which the removal would occur. When I returned home that day it was apparent that the contract had trespassed on my property and marked the wood chip area with white paint.

I remitted final payment to the contractor and advised that I was due a refund because the contract called for the installation of three downspout tie ins and he had installed only two. Multiple communications were sent to the contractor requesting the refund for the services not performed. Finally after multiple e-mails I received a response from the contractor's representative stating that the refund check had been mailed. Despite the passage of one week since the date of the claimed mailing the check has not been received and, as of date, has not been received.

The contractor's asphalt work is reasonably fine, except his installation process and crew are sloppy. His customer service is awful. His attention to detail as unprofessional. His relations with customers is extremely poor. The use of a threat of tearing up one half of a driveway already installed and trespassing on property is not only absurd but borders on illegality

I would not use this contractor again and cannot recommend this contractor.

Everything from start to finish went smoothly and they did a great job. Their office staff is polite and Bernard was a pleasure to work with. They gave a fair quote, did the work when they were supposed to and didn't go over what they quoted which many contractors do. I have them scheduled to fix my fireplace and would use them again in the future if I needed them. I highly recommend Nardi to anyone in the area.
It went well; they were ready to begin earlier than we expected but we worked together and it was done quickly and effeceintly. The employees were polite and hardworking. Anna (the office manager) was a good communicator. We are happy with their work, feel we got good value for the money we spent and we would use them again.

My experience was fine. The service was good. I have had a little issue. I asked if I needed a drain or something and he told me no, but I think I do because I have a thing with flooding. So, I just have not called him back. The price was good. I probably would use them again in the future or I need to.
