Nate responded promptly, assessed and got to work quickly, but completely misdiagnosed the problem. After installing replacement compression fittings, he finagled to get the stove lid back down then tested the repair. Neither front burner lit but both control valves hissed when turned on. So Nate concluded that both valves, all of a sudden, were bad and needed to be replaced as well. He looked up the parts on his phone and found them to be no longer available, so he said I needed a new stove and gave me the card of a used appliance shop. He packed up and said he would only charge me for the diagnostic so I wrote a check. But I had watched him tighten the compression nuts on both burner valves, and I watched him try to get the stove top to click back into place. There was quite a bit of effort and motion with that and I thought he had also worked really hard to tighten the nuts, more than was needed, the way he strained to wrench them tighter. I couldn't understand how the valves could be damaged when all that had happened originally was that the small aluminum gas lines broke off from them, on the outer side of the nuts, when I tried to close the lid back. So I wondered if he had just spent too much time and was frustrated after the work. He didn't seem to properly figure out how to turn the main gas line to the stove off, until I suggested he turn it the other way. He said he had to turn it off, by law, but that he couldn't stop me from turning it back on. Then after he had left, I found both small aluminum gas supply lines, one to each front burner, disconnected again! And both looked like they had been twisted or sheared off. I believe he just repeated the same damage I had done when trying to close the stove top. I took pictures and looked closely at the valves and the lines, went to the same supply store he said he had gone to, and I bought the parts myself - new compression sleeves and nuts. Last night I repaired the damage myself by simply and properly connecting those compression fittings to the lines and valves, and everything now works perfectly fine. I tested for gas leaks and there were none. The front burners now light great and my version of the repair cost just 20 minutes of my time and less than $10 in parts. I paid Nate 7 times that amount just to leave the stove in disrepair, turn off my gas supply, tell me the valves were no good and that I needed a whole new stove, and leave me wondering how he could have made a simple repair so complicated. I give him a B for effort, a D for results, and an F for frustration.

My refrigerator had some kind of cooling issue where items in the lower part of the refrigerator were freezing, while items higher up were not getting cool enough. Nate quickly and correctly diagnosed the issue, called around to help get the best price for the product, and fixed the issue. In sum, he did a great job.

I reached out via their Facebook marketplace ad to see if they could assist with my clothes dryer not heating up, and within an hour I had a response and an appointment for the next day! Nate arrived exactly on time and had all the parts (even with some cost saving options) needed to get the work done. As he worked to completely deconstruct the dryer to make the repair he explained what might have caused the issue and how to prevent it in the future, made some observations about brands to look for and some to avoid depending on the appliance. I can't say enough positive about him - he did a great job and when he left we felt a little smarter about appliances :) Would definitely use him again!
