I requested George to do my home inspection after a very strong recommendation from a friend. I couldn’t be happier with the service that George provided. George Kasimirsky was wonderful to work with. He was flexible with scheduling, prompt, professional and very thorough with the inspection. As he conducted the inspection he walked me through each item and explained what he was doing, what to look for, and what should be done to fix if needed. George performed an inspection on my home for my home buyers. he acted extremely arrogant from the get go when I was explaining that the home had been completely remodeled over the last 2 years he stated, "well I've been doing this for 19 years." He was clearly struggling to find things wrong with the home, being that it is basically brand new from complete remodeling. George stated things in his report That were ridiculous such as mulch being too thick around the home. And he stated that the furnace and hot water tank vent/exhaust lines did not meet code and that carbon monoxide would enter the house when the furnace fan turns on. He recommended a professional look at it right away. However the system was installed a few years prior by a professional! I tried to contact George numerous times and even left voicemails! He failed to answer or return my calls. The new home buyers were frightened by these false accusations and wanted this situation addressed by a professional hvac technician immediately, which cost me $80 to have a professional come out and write on a piece of paper that there is nothing wrong with how the hot water tank and furnace vent lines are ran and that everything meets code requirements. If George was a true professional he would have answered my calls and or reimbursed me my $80 for not knowing what he was talking about.

We are first time home buyers and consulted Angie's List to find a home inspector. Our realtor gave us a list of suggestions. When we looked up their reviews, they were rather disappointing so we figured we would read all of the reviews for all of the inspectors in the area. We called a few people and talked to them, but just didn't feel right until we came across George. George was absolutely fantastic from start to finish. He arrived promptly at 9:30 a.m. He contracted the pest inspection to be performed at the exact same time which was helpful so we didn't have to schedule everything separate. He was extremely respectful to the current owners and us. He was sure to put booties over his shoes anytime he entered the house to be sure not to track mud through the house. He took us around with him as he inspected every inch of the house. Regardless that it was freezing outside, he inspected everything thoroughly. One of our favorite parts was that George explains what he sees and offers advice for maintenance along the way. He doesn't just tell you the most expensive option to sell a service either. He will definitely tell you how to do it yourself and the level of difficulty. If something looks like it might need fixed in the next few years, he is also more than happy to provide you with methods to fix the problem or a information for a professional that he has used before for his own home! Once we got inside the house, George was still on his A game. George saw that there had been a previous burst pipe that was fixed so we ran each faucet for 10-20 minutes and then went and checked the basement to make sure there was no dampness or leaks. We did each room individually so if there was a problem, we could identify where it was coming from. He was incredibly thorough with everything here too. I've never seen someone who is willing to check every single outlet in the house and make sure they work properly when switched on or off. Our house even has a more complicated attic space. You definitely need your own separate ladder. He had no issue bringing his ladder inside and thoroughly checking out the attic too. This inspection will be longer than most, but it is so worth it to learn everything that George has to offer. You will actually feel like you were a part of it and understand what is going on. You will feel extremely comfortable asking questions without the worry of sounding stupid. He is more than happy to take the time to explain/re-explain anything. We would hire him again in a heartbeat and have recommended him to family and friends!

Every once in awhile you come across people who by their presence, make the world a sunnier, brighter, and more congenial place. George Kasimirsky is one such individual. Not only did he do an excellent job performing a home and radon inspection, he was able to make the process enjoyable. George has inspected two houses for us. He's very thorough and takes his time explaining as he goes along. His lovely wife works in the background entering information and checking the operation of each window. The report came by email quickly and detailed the condition of the house. As it turns out, he uncovered what might be a significant structural defect that needs to be checked by an structural engineer. If it turns out to be a fatal defect, we'll keep looking and George will inspect the our house. <br /> <br />

George Kasimirsky was the home inspector. He also arranged for the pest <br /> inspection and radon test. George is a true professional and <br /> personable. He talked to me in detail about what he was doing and what <br /> he was looking for. He was detailed on what needed fixed and the best <br /> way to accomplish it. I walked with him the entire time (except while <br /> he was on the roof). His final report was very detailed and will be <br /> used as my blueprint to make the necessary updates that the seller will <br /> not do in advance of my closing. My wife and I recently had George inspect a home we are buying. He did a home inspection and radon test, and he contracted the pest inspection for us as well, which occurred simultaneously. I had read great reviews about George and I am pleased to say not only were they spot on, he outperformed my expectations. When we arrived, George was already climbing a ladder to walk the roof. He unplugged a couple downspouts (not necessarily his problem, but he wanted to make sure everything was draining properly) and thoroughly walked the roof, inspecting and describing all of what he was seeing. Once the roof was done, he came down and inspected the entire outside of the home and not only noted issues, but also gave us some great advice on future maintenance of the home, especially given that it has a Tudor siding which requires specific installation processes. He noted several areas where we should improve grading for proper drainage, etc. Inside the house he was just as thorough, checking EVERY outlet without fail, all switches were confirmed, etc. The utilities were all gone through very well and just the same as the exterior, George was a wealth of information for future items to pay attention to or upgrade. Aside from George's actual services, he was very pleasant to work with. He has a lighthearted demeanor and makes what would normally be a tedious process very much enjoyable. He spent 4 hours doing our inspection and we both feel that we know exactly what we are buying and learned a wealth of great information about properly maintaining the home. His report was very detailed with clear explanations of current condition as well as his recommendations to fix issues, complete with very nice photos showing each in detail. I would not hesitate to recommend George as a home inspector to anyone, I could not be happier with his work. Others in the industry should watch him work and follow suit, because it seems harder and harder to find people who take pride in doing a job right and making sure their customer gets exactly what they are paying for. You can really tell that George wants every customer to be satisfied with his work. If you are reading this review, look no further. A+++++++ <br />

My fiancé and I hired NPI for a home/radon/pest inspection. George and Danielle arrived early and got right to work. They picked up on a number of issues as they walked us through the entire process, explaining what they were doing and finding, thoughtfully answering all of our questions along the way. They were extremely thorough yet still efficient as the two of them worked quite well together. <br /> Our inspection was on a Saturday, and we received the report the very next evening. It was extensive, well organized and illustrated. All of their findings were methodically documented and easy to understand. We were able to make an informed decision based upon this. It is our strong belief that NPI saved us from making an unwise investment. <br /> Furthermore, George and Danielle were both friendly and professional. George and Danielle inspected a home for our family. I can not say this any more clearly, they are OUTSTANDING. George inspected the house and was extremely thorough and objective. He pointed out simple fixes and larger issues. Having Danielle there was such a bonus as she was double checking everything as he went through. They are an excellent team. Things were pointed out to us that we would never have noticed. Even if they were not issues that needed to be addressed, it was a wealth of knowledge on home maintenance and upkeep. Unfortunately, the home had excessive radon levels through the roof and after talking to the EPA we did not purchase the home. We are very grateful they are honest and thorough or we would have been in serious trouble. We also had George inspect another home that we are buying, again he was SO thorough! I felt not one thing was missed and they are so professional and kind. We had our 3 children running around at the inspection and they treated them so well. After our inspection my husband turned to me and said "that is one of the few times where I feel got my money's worth and trusted a provider!" <br /> We have been through quite a bit through this whole real estate process in selling and buying. It takes a toll, however the one thing that has been simple has been the home inspection process. I do not write reviews, did I mention I have 3 kids running around, but I honestly felt that it was neccesary to do this for the sake of people looking for a home inspector. Choose this company period. I did not know George or Danielle before and saw their reviews on Angies List and went for it. We are grateful we did. They gave us the facts and we made the decisions that were best for us. That is really what any homebuyer wants, the facts and a nice professional attitude. That is what you will get with NPI. <br />

The process of the inspection went relatively well, however it appears that he was selective about the information provided. After number conversations that this property was a foreclosure and discussions about the rehab contracts that we had already signed, he insisted on marking multiple items "must be fixed prior to closing" <br /> In essence, we were unable to purchase the home we wanted because he ignored the information provided. <br /> An example of his selective inclusion was a 4' x 6' dormer roof that needed repaired and insulated. Rather than showing that the rest of the roof was in excellent condition, he submitted ONLY photos of the dormer roof and claimed that the entire roof needed to be replaced pre-closing. <br /> With a foreclosure, there is no "seller" to do these repairs. It is also impossible for a potential buyer to even get a quote on a pre-close repair, much less get permission to make said repair. <br /> What should have happened, as he was working for ME... is that he should have said, here are the problems I see and these are my recommendations. Based on the potential buyers status as a rehab buyer and the information detailed in the already signed and approved contracts for repair, ALL of these issues will be adequately addressed within 60 days from the close. <br /> Because of this inspector, we had to find a different home and the seller can't have the home financed and needs to probably do a cash only deal, losing money. <br /> I would recommend this guy for a thorough inspection. But, he will be insulted if you know anything about homes, construction, etc. He also would NOT be good for a foreclosure or flip purchase inspection. <br /> And I don't know why I paid so much more than everyone else. It wasn't a large home, and I didn't have termite, radon, lead, mold, or plumbing/HVAC mechanicals inspected. I really think it's because I'm female and that makes it so much more irritating.

"To whom it may concern I would like to take the opportunity to respond to the review posted by [removed member name] on July 23, 2014. First off, I think it is opportune to mention that [removed member name] was charged $ 325 and not $550 as she claims in her review. The paid invoice is reflected in her report. When we arrived at the scheduled home inspection we were informed by Mrs. [removed member name] that the water and gas supply to the house were shut off. I also discovered later that the power supply to one of the electric panels was shut off. This in itself limits the home inspection by default. (Hence no plumbing system or heating system could be inspected.) It is my job as a home inspector to point out the deficiencies of a house and property to the buyer who hired me to do exactly that. It is also my job to document these deficiencies, which I do through pictures. For example, the pictures taken of the defective dormer in this specific report. It was much larger than a 4x6 area. It would exceed the size of an average home inspection report to document every single angle of the house. If there are any potentially hazardous conditions to health or safety detected throughout my inspection I WILL bring this to the buyer’s attention immediately and make recommendations of how and when these should be remedied. It is not my job to negotiate any contracts or alter my report in any way to accommodate either seller or buyer. It is also not my job to take any future repairs, may there be signed agreements or not, for granted and rely on the “promise “ that these will be made. I could lose my reputation and credibility in case of future issues with the house. Mrs. [removed member name] rates the quality of my work with a D, but at the same time would recommend me for a “ thorough inspection “. This appears to be somewhat contradictory. Also, I am never insulted if a client has profound knowledge of any issue in the home, has previous training or knowledge of construction, or has done research on a particular problem. On the contrary, I encourage my clients throughout the home inspection to point out areas or issues which they would like to have especially addressed or that they feel needs more explaining or attention. Lastly, I would like to address the statement of Mrs.[removed member name] at the end of her review about the reason for my pricing. First of all I work with my wife on many inspections and she happened to have been with me at that specific inspection. Surely she would have been insulted herself if I would make comments or base any of my actions at an inspection based on the gender of my customer. So, to assure Mrs. [removed member name] she paid the base price for a home inspection ( $325) as everybody else does, male or female, since the appointment and time allotment was made under the impression that a full home inspection would be conducted. I am sorry that she was so unhappy with the outcome of this inspection and had all the misgivings about my report. I just wish she would have contacted ME and talked to me after she received the report and not waited four weeks to post a review."

Originally one of the names provided by my realtor, I check all names through Angies List and give preferences to those who are listed. So, I reached out to George and talked with him about the new home we were purchasing. We scheduled for him to come out to the house and perform a home inspection, radon test and pest inspection (which was subbed out). It was a great experience. <br /> George took his time and pointed out the issues of the 1969 house. We appreciated his patience with answering our questions and his thoroughness of the inspection. The final report was provided that weekend (inspection was on a Friday). <br /> We would recommend George to our family and friends who need a quality home inspector. <br /> <br />

I chose George and NPI to perform a house and pest inspection for a property I was set to purchase, provided there were not too many problems with said inspection. <br /> George and his wife Diane were punctual, professional, and friendly. George really took his time to show me and explain every aspect of the exterior and interior of the house, noting what was good along with the trouble areas. His professional eye noticed many problems with the house that I did not when we were first shown the house. <br /> Although he did not perform an air quality test for mold, he did point out black mold on the basement wall and green mold on the crossbeams of the basement ceiling. Options for repair of these areas were discussed (in fact, ALL areas that needed attention) and ultimately, we decided against finalizing the purchase of the property. <br /> I am planning on hiring George for a pre-inspection of my current townhouse so there aren't any surprises when I am ready to list it for sale. I will also call on him to inspect the next house that we are interested in buying. <br /> <br /> <br />

We thought we had found the house of our dreams. We had contacted George through a family recommendation and he delivered. H found a laundry list of problems with the first house we were in love with and we had learned that it would possibly cost upwards of thousands of dollars on this flipped house special. We were disappointed but moved on. <br /> George inspected our 2nd house and found a few things wrong that were livable and we could deal with. George was very thorough of his inspection and found problems the home owner didn't realize . I recommend National Property Inspections to anyone. <br />

George was very prompt and immediately started looking at the outside of the home. He was very patient and gave good explanations of how we can maintain the home. He was very good at seeing the details of the home and letting us know what was wrong and what needed to be fixed. He walked on the roof to check it. He also went around the house and explained the problems we could have with mold since the shrubbery was touching the house. He took pictures of all the problems he noticed and answered all of our questions. He continued this same excellent service inside the home. More importantly, George saved us from buying this house. He noticed that the home had a structural issue where the floor in the kitchen and the 2nd floor hall were uneven. He showed us the unevenness and even went so far as to show us that when the house was built a metal post was not put in place to hold up a major beam of the house which led the floors to start sinking after only 15 years. The structural engineer who looked at the problem also agreed with George's observations. George has very good observations skills and very good feet to have noticed this problem. He noticed several tiles had been replaced because of the new grout and he felt the slope in the floor with his feet. George noticed the problem even when the issue not disclosed. George only did the house inspection himself and contracted out the pest and radon inspection. <br />
