National Tree Service

Very good.  Performed a very delicate job while cutting down the entire fully grown ash tree, while avoiding, cable, telephone and power lines, two garages and a shed.  No damage to anything.  Absolutely and incredible job.  It was too wet to grind the stump, but he cam back a week later after the ground dried out and removed the stump.  Also left a bunch of tree limbs cut to size for firewood and stacked next to garage.  Site was left fully clean.  I would definitely hire again. <br />

Jim was very responsive and came out to provide a bid on the work I requested.  His price was reasonable compared to other offers I considered.  I was very happy with the work he and his crew provided.  The trimmed trees have all the overgrown lower limbs removed and now have a great shape. Jim was very professional and kept me informed on the work.  His estimate was exactly what he charged. <br />

Service man arrived promptly and proceeded to trim the ash tree and remove the crab tree.  finished in quick order and left the site clean and undamaged. <br />

JIm and crew did an outstanding job!!   Jim promptly returned my call for an estimate.  For the estimate, he was extremely attentive to my requirements including my desire to remove the tree in the most efficient, cost effective manner.   To my surprise, they scheduled the removal for the next day weather permitting.  They cut and stacked wood from the tree for the fireplace in a neat, tidy and was way above expectations.    <br /> The cleanup was suberb!  A neighbor would not even notice the tree service was done. <br /> Great job National Tree Service!! <br />

Jim and his crew of two were very professional and paid much attention to detail. They cleaned everything away and left our property pristine and undamaged. We had quite a bit of work done in various areas around our property, each and every area looked amazing when they were finished. <br />

National / Dave did an excellent job especially with the tree between the houses. Not an easy job.

They were great. They were the lowest of the three bids that I got; it was quite a bit. They showed up two days later. They had to deal with some challenging obstacles; the ash tree was right over my two-story garage and the neighboring garage. This tree had probably been there for a hundred and fifty years. They literally un-flooded my garage; they did a great job of getting it down.

Jim was able to give an estimate quickly as they were doing work across the street. After agreeing to use them, they were out early the next week. The crew arrived and promptly got to work on removing the four trees. The biggest part of the job was for them was to remove a large section from two oaks originating from my neighbors yard, and hanging over a large section of my roof and driveway. It was obvious the crew knew what they were doing, as this was some very intricate work between my house and the neighbors with little room for error. The crew did a great job of cleaning up and removing all debris. They were to come back within a week to remove the stumps which they did over the course of two separate days the following week (about an hour each day using different equipment). Jim and the crew did an excellent job and were very professional all the way. <br />

due to inclement weather, it took us quite a long time to actually have the work done.  All that being said, once the work was complete it was done as requested. <br />

Everything was good.  He did a nice job cutting down the trees however he forgot to do a couple of trees.  I called them and asked to come back and do what they had promised to do.  I called them two or three times and they never responded.  The initial job...he did a good job but he didn't do it, never came back and never responded.  I wasn't happy about that.

Came early the next day after buying the angie's list deal and started removing the branches.  Excellent service. <br /> Crew was: <br /> Fast <br /> Efficient <br /> Polite <br /> <br />

We had difficulty getting Jim here as there was a lack of communication.  Part of the problem was the amount of work he was performing due to the storms that went through Illinois in the last week and he explained he had some problems with sick workmen that messed up the schedule.  However, once he arrived, he reviewed the trees we had slated for trimming.  He suggested the trimmings and went right to work.  The work was done expeditiously and he was thorough in the cleanup.  We are extremely pleased with the results. <br />

I purchased a "Big Deal" and had a few difficulties with this provider.  I was given several different dates that the work would be done, but Jim repeatedly did not show up within the promised time-frame.  I emailed to inquire, and he always had an excuse why they were not able to do the work, and gave me a new time frame. After the 3rd missed date,I emailed Jim and told him I wished to cancel the Big Deal that I had purchased.  He promised to get the work done that week and told me I would not be disappointed.  He did finally do the work and trimmed 3 trees.  Two were satisfactory but I thought he could have done a better job on one of the trees; he only cut off one large limb but left several other low-hanging branches untrimmed. All in all, it was merely an "ok" job; not what I would typically expect from an Angie's List provider.

Absolutely fantastic!  Jim said they might be able to remove the cherry and save the grapes, which I had already given up on having happen....and they did it!  The grapes were already recovering when the cold weather hit.  The pears, which were dwarves when planted but went wild, now look like pear trees again.  Maybe I will get to pick some fruit next year!  I will definitely ask them to do more work and have recommended them to my family. <br />

He did a very good job.  I was dismayed with the additional charges from his estimate other than the Big Deal cost.

Jim was knowledgeable and helpful when he provided the initial estimate. He suggested several steps to take to protect my Ash trees. His suggestions were for services that he does not provide so I was not concerned that he was trying to run up the bill and he discouraged several other things I asked him to look at because he didn't think they were necessary. <br /> On the day of the service he completed all of the agreed upon items in a timely fashion and cleaned up completely. <br /> I was very satisfied with National Tree Service and will use them again. <br />
