I found the company moved from Sinclair Road in Columbus, Ohio to Grove City Ohio. I spoke to the person and told them I needed sealer and I was told they have everything in stock. I drove the One hour,(one way) to the shop to pick up the supplies I needed. The only person at the front desk was in the back room sweeping. After I located her I placed my order for 4 gallons of sealer and a bucket of stone repair for my patio. At that time I was informed by the not so friendly and unknowable lady that the person who does the mixing for repair work decided it was a slow day and went home. The lady called the owner and told him the person who would do the mixing went home and the owner said he was on a job and would have to do that stuff later. The lady then comment to me, "I hate when they go on jobs!" I paid for the sealer and the repair kit and was told it will be at my house by FedX in 3 days. I left and there were 3 other customers waiting for help. It was obvious that lady did not know what she was doing and how to do what she was suppose to be doing. 1 week later I called in to see where my repair kit, that was promised in 3 days, was for I cannot do the sealing until the repair is done. The same lady answered the phone and said I remember you. I was not the stone that was needed to make the repair kit was not in stock and she should had called me to tell me there would be a delay. I asked when will I receive the repair kit so I can finish and seal the patio and garage. She told me shortly it will be delivered. I did not like the answer shortly, for the last time i was told 3 days and it never showed up. The lady put me on hold and came back with a disgusted sound, "Let's say 4 days!" Then we hung up. Nature Stone is great. It is just such a hassle to get the sealing product to repair and maintain nature stone.

The workers did a very good job of protecting the floors leading to the basement, were on time and worked very efficiently. It takes 2 days but is well worth it. This is the second basement floor we have had them do. It looks great.

<p>Over the course of several days, I met several different employees. They could not have been nicer or hard working. They were happy to answer questions and really spoke so highly of the company in general, I felt like I'd really made a wise investment. I frankly also appreciated that they realize it's a rather hefty investment and don't take it for granted or cut corners. They gave clear explanations and directions and left things very neat and clean. Ever since the product was installed, I no longer have a musty smell coming from my basement and I do not worry about water coming up through the cement in either area. So was it expensive? Well, yes! But a major issue with water seeping in has been resolved and the floors really look beautiful and require very little care.</p> <br />

We purchased the Nature in March but it could not be installed until May. The sales process was pleasant. When May rolled around though I left 3 messages in 3 days and didn't revive a call back until day 5. I was told the delay was because they were extremely busy. I understand that but still a phone call takes 2 minutes and you already had 1/3 of the project cost as a deposit. All in all the install went well and the workers were very professional.

"Thank you for the review. To clarify, the member purchased NATURE STONE brand flooring in December, 2013 to be installed on the member's outdoor patio. Since we cannot install outdoor projects in winter weather, we arranged for the installation of the member's outdoor patio to be completed in the spring of 2014. The installation was scheduled by the member for May 23, 2014, at which time we completed the member's installation on the date scheduled. Unfortunately, our records do not show that the member attempted to contact us at any time between the time of purchase and the time of installation. We did make contact with the member on May 22, 2014, to confirm the member's upcoming installation. If the member did attempt to contact us, I certainly apologize for any miscommunication on our part."

<br /> <br /> <br /> The covering was beautiful. They used stone with epoxy glue and put it on with trowels. It was a beautiful looking job when they got it done. However, after one year it started to get blemishes on it. We have a 10year material, 5year Labor and service warranty on it so they came out and tried to recoat it but it only made it worse. When I called them to come back out they told me they couldn't come out until June 12 then they pushed it back to July 09. It has been a full year before they could come back out and correct it. I lost 3 years on my warranty before they could come out and do something. Now I have a beautiful looking deck with blemishes in it. They can't even tell me what's wrong with it. I told her I would like to have it done before July 4th she said no I only work here So I asked to talk to her boss . "While I appreciate the member's concern, I am extremely confused by this review. According to our records, the member had an installation performed in 2010. We did not hear from the member again until 2012. We visited the member in April of 2012 to address the member's concern. Quite frankly, the installation simply needed to be cleaned. Cleaning of the floor is not a warranty issue, but we did it for the member at no charge as a goodwill gesture for a valued customer. The customer then contacted again us in June of 2012 to request a topcoat be applied, which is recommended on a periodic basis to maintain the beauty and integrity of the floor. When we attempted to schedule the service, the member claimed to be happy with the appearance of the floor and preferred to recontact us in 2013 for the topcoat. Since then, we have not heard back from the member. At this point, I am more than happy to have our service department contact the member to see how we can help."

My interaction with this company started in 2010 when I called them to obtain and estimate to make repairs to my patio around our pool. The nature stone was installed before I purchased the home. They set up a date to complete the estimate; which was nearly a month later. 30 Minutes before the appointment the technician called and told me he was not going to make it but they would call me with an alternative date; they never did. <br /> <br /> The next spring of 2011 I called them back and set up a time for the estimate. Again the date had to be changed due to another project they were working on. When they finally arrived nearly 60 days after my call and gave me the estimate I was assured that the repairs would match the existing stone. The job was supposed to only take the afternoon to complete. It turned out to take nearly a month and 5 different trips. The work was sloppy, and the reparis did not match. I called the company on numerous occassions to compain that the job was not finished and nothing ever changed. Since this product was only installed by this company I had no choice but to use them if I wanted the repairs completed. Bottom line, the product is not durable, the company is a joke to work with and they don't keep thier word. After investigating them it became obveious that I am not the only unsatisfied customer there are many many complaints about them. If you review the responses to these compaints the company disputes the customer everytime. I would never use them again even if the product was something I wanted.

"With all due respect to the member, the member is not a Nature Stone customer. The member appears to have purchased a home where Nature Stone had been installed over 10 years ago. Our records indicate that in or around June, 2010, the member contacted us to make us aware that the member had purchased the home and to inquire about DIY products to topcoat the existing Nature Stone. We furnished the member with several kits of DIY topcoat material, which the member picked up at our Columbus, Ohio location the same day that the member called. At no time did the member arrange for a service technician to perform an on-site inspection or service work of any kind. We did not hear from the member until around March, 2011, at which time the member arranged for a service technician to perform an on-site inspection. We were scheduled to visit the member on March 25, 2011. Unfortunately, the weather did not cooperate that day and the member was re-scheduled to March 31, 2011. We completed the inspection and service work for the member on March 31. The total cost was $941.96 (not $2,000, which the member suggests above). The member then contacted us in or around July, 2011, to review the completed service work. We arranged to again visit the member at no additional charge in or around August, 2011. We also explained to the member that the Nature Stone had been exposed to the outdoor elements for over 10 years without any maintenance. Therefore, it is unreasonable to think that new material would be an exact match to material that is over 10 years old and had not been maintained. The member then declined for us to schedule to review the completed service work, citing that the member did not wish to wait. Unfortunately, this was the soonest our schedule would accommodate the member, as the summer is our busy season and our schedule is typically booked 30 days to 6 weeks in advance. We had not heard from the member again until receiving this report. The sealant dried a milky white. We had to have them come back out three times to fix the issue. They did improve the look, but it isn't perfect.

The sales representative told me the concrete surface should by prepared by filling in the minor cracks on the patios surface. Once completed and the installers arrived they would not install the stone epoxy mix because they needed the 1/8? thick patch to cure for 30 days. After a month they resurfaced the patio but would not allow me to keep the extra bags of stone I purchased. The warranty for the patio was 2 years materials and 1 year labor. Nature Stone?s contract says that they will come in the first year and apply the epoxy topcoat free of charge and the second year they will give me the epoxy kit to apply it myself. Less than 1 year after installed the surface has faded very badly and I called to request the topcoat be applied. Nature Stone sprung a hidden service fee of $264 for pressure washing the surface. I declined the service and pressure washed the patio myself. I received a call from Nature Stone stating only they can perform the pressure wash or they will not apply the topcoat. The only option they will agree to is for me to sign a warranty waiver and they will give me the materials to apply the topcoat myself. My complaint is currently being researched by the BBB and I found out they have +35 complaints filed against them and are NOT accredited by the BBB as they advertised on their website.

"Let me begin by stating that Nature Stone installs about 2200 floors annually throughout the entire state of Ohio and western PA. We average less than one tenth of one percent in consumer complaints. The 36 BBB complaints represented a 3 year period covering all of our markets - which results in only 12 complaints a year out of 2200 floors installed - a 99% Approval Rating. Regarding this specific consumer complaint - Nature Stone entered into a contract with the member last year on April 18, 2009. And as we do with every contract, we had the member read and initial an area of the contract that specifically addresses the warranty explaining what is and is not covered. Nature Stone is a concrete overlay flooring product that offers an exclusive warranty unparalleled in the industry (especially because concrete itself is not warranted at all). In February of 2010, the member placed a call for an annual inspection. At that time we informed him that in accordance with his warranty there would be no charge for labor or materials to topcoat his patio. On May 10, one of our service technicians visited the customer and offered to apply a new topcoat to the Nature Stone patio floor at no charge. This consumer complaint centers around a charge that he would have had to pay for a professional deep extraction cleaning that Nature Stone would have done before applying a new topcoat. The customer was not going to be charged for any labor or materials in applying a new topcoat. In our warranty we state that routine cleaning prior to any repairs or topcoating is not part of the warranty. In fact, I don't know of any floor covering manufacturer that would offer to clean and maintain a floor after it has been installed. The customer was informed that he could clean his floor and apply a new topcoat with one of the Nature Stone DIY kits, which he has chosen not to do. Sincerely, Brenda C. I was happy with the work that they did, but I think that the follow up that they normally do where they come back out and reseal never got done. They never came back. We were going to have them do some resealing and we're going to call them, but they haven't followed through. They say there going to to all of the work but they don't tell you they'll charge you for it. Upfront they do great work, as the product looked great.

They did the site preparation which included preparing the concrete to make sure it would bond correctly. The patio had a protective coat on it so they wanted to make sure it would bond properly. They installed the product then came the next day to seal the product. The experience went very well, they did a good job. The price is high, but you get a good product.

We did get estimates from other providers, but Nature Stone had the best references. We also liked the variety of colors and surfaces textures. The installation was scheduled and the guys were prompt and they cleaned up afterwards. It was very easy to work with them and we plan to do the remaining portions of the basement.

I am so thrilled with their work. It came out so beautiful! The patio was 40 years old, and had some major cracks in it. I saw their ad in the paper, and then went online to the Better Business Bureau. They placed a type of stone on it, and it was a fabulous product! It saved us from having to have all of the concrete removed. It comes in different colors. It looks like pebbles you would pick up on a beach somewhere. It covers any imperfections. I was thrilled with the finished product. They did the work in one day, and the next day we were able to go about our business. The price was better than having concrete poured, and the old removed.

We love the product but we're having an issue with the patio. Everyone has a different reason as to why that is. They don't seem to be very cooperative for the amount of money we spent with them. Now, the garage, which we just had done looks great but I'm told to not let it get in the sun or it will fade like the patio did.

the warranty work they did, after putting us off for a year, did not last either. they put us off another year and returned in 2006, and redid the cracked areas. By spring of 2007 the cracks were back and they rescheduled us for a re-repair but did not return that year. In may of 2008, they returned and did the warranty work over, but the cracks reappeared in just a few months. I notified them and they inspected the work but did nothing that year. This year we had a date of July 24th as the repair date but they did not show up or call to say why they did not come. I stopped into their show room on Sinclair Rd and talked to their branch service manager, Jim Cunningham. He told me that the home office had cut his staffing by about 25% but he would make sure our repairs were made on August 22, 2009. However he did not show up or call to say why not. Messages left on his voice mail go unanswered. I have seen Nature Stone ads that claim that they are Angie's List Super Service Award winners. That must have been before their staffing was cut and they started ignoring their customers. After submitted this report the company contacted me regarding my complaints. They came out and corrected the work when the weather permitted. Everything looks very good at this point. I did get a follow up call from their supervisor Jeff to makle sure I was satisfied with the work that they did.

"In response to the member’s complaint, our product was installed on his outdoor pool deck over five years ago. The installation solved the member’s problems of unsightly cracked and stained concrete, which is the purpose of Nature Stone. However, because Nature Stone is installed over concrete it is dependent upon the subsurface layer that it is installed on. If the subsurface layer shifts or cracks, then Nature Stone can be affected. Our warranty provides for an annual inspection at no cost to the customer. The inspection is offered as a preventative measure to discover any unforeseen problems before they become major issues and as an opportunity to provide any maintenance or warranty recommendations. Nature Stone inspected the pool deck in 2006 and repaired some cracks around the pool at no charge; the adhesion and gloss remained in excellent condition. Because the member’s pool is outdoors any scheduled repair work is dependent upon the weather – if weather conditions change, unfortunately so does our customer service schedule. Our Columbus office staff was consistently in communication with the member regarding any delays or change in scheduling. In October of 2009 (more than five years after installation) we repaired the cracks in the member’s pool deck. This was done again at no charge and we were under no obligation to do it. Nature Stone has gone above and beyond what is expected with regards to our warranty and customer service. Nature Stone stands behind our product and our service with what we did for the member."

We are very happy with the results. We actually like the look of the garage now. Nature Stone was here when promised. They cleaned up after the job was complete. They kept us informed as to what they were going to do. The salesman was very well informed.
