N Barlow Construction LLC

We hired N Barlow to build a closet for us and it was hands down the worst experience of our lives. He did not complete the project on time, and ended up doing a shoddy job. Not only did he use cheap material, but he built all of our shelves incorrectly. We tried to reach out to Nary to come back and fix our shelves which could barely open and close and he refused. We took him to small claims court and won our case based on clear evidence that he violated the original contract that we put forward. He never paid us and has avoided any opportunity to do the right thing.

Good for the price despite some glitches

started iff well. but kept asking for money upfront without the promised job stages reached stating that he was short on cash to get the materials needed. Paid him upfront. long story short did not finish the work. after calling him multiple times and messaging him he would respond saying he will come the next week to finish the work but would not show. finally said he would refund me $4000.00 back and only to switch his phone off. gone cold now.

I employed N. Barlow to remodel my bathroom a complete gut job. WHAT A DISASTER....I,ll keep it short. Narry measured my bathroom wrong, when I asked him to come back and remeasure, his answer was it is a typical 9x5 ny city bathroom.so I have 4 cases of expensive wall tiles left over that I could not return as they pushed back the work. I had to buy a second shower door that is still wrong due to his wrong measurements. The window ledge that he offered as a service in the contract is is a mess, I would do better myself. My wall tiles are damaged. Even after going step by step with pictures and providing descriptions on the second shower door visually to him it is wrong. My shower floor is uneven meaning the water when draining runs in opposite directions as there is a bump The shower drain is a complete mess. The bathroom floor tiles are loose as the floor wasn,t level. I brought Narry back to see all of thes issues he admited they were wrong and said he would fix them. . Fast forward nothing has been fixed , Narry blew me off with excuses, blaming his employees, "he was the person the put down the floor" said it was very hard to get good workers. I would NEVER recomend this company to anyone. You are better off spending the extra $ and getting what you want instead of shoddy workman ship. It is going to cost me several thousand dollars as I have to take up my floors and shower drain to fix this mess. I am adding pictures to view.

It went very well. I met up with 3 other contractors before I decided to go with N Barlow Construction, mainly because of all the good reviews here. Narry was extremely nice and polite. This is very important for a condop building where lots of work needed to be done on a daily basis and that the contractor is able coordinate well with the superintendent and doorman so that the work gets done in a timely and approved manner. The whole project took about 6 weeks to gut renovate the entire kitchen, all new wood floor, new wall partition, custom closet, and painting for a 500 sq ft apartment which is quite fast in my opinion. In terms of pricing, it is very reasonable compared to the other contractors and well priced for the amount of work done in Manhattan. All the basic materials are included in the estimate which makes it easier for me as I only need to get my own appliances for the kitchen. I would highly recommend N Barlow Construction to anyone.

N Barlow construction went far and beyond to satisfy my coop managing agent and it’s board stringent requirements. It fulfilled it’s contract within a timely matter and within it’s reasonable cost proposal.

Narry Barlow Construction is exceptional. Our project started with a bathroom and kitchen remodel. After experiencing the great work of Narry's team we added other projects. The workmanship (plastering and painting) transformed our old walls into smooth walls that are a work of art. The floors and staircase are beautiful. We have received many compliments. Our home looks like a new house! Narry's team is professional and provides quality service. Narry had great suggestions --- things we did not think of but added beautiful touches and practicality to our finished rooms. They paid attention to detail and were very accommodating. At the end of the day, they clean up and leave your home neat so you can enjoy your evening. We give Narry an A+++ rating and would not hesitate to recommend Narry for your project. We are looking forward to having Narry transform our basement.

Narry is a complete professional - honest, patient, knowledgeable, a problem solver, highly skilled and takes pride in his craft. As an Art Director, I could rely on Narry's advice & expertise when needing an opinion in regards to visualizing & picking out proper materials that best suit the overall modern design of the kitchen. As in all renovations, there were several instances where problems arose due to the outdated build of my kitchen. Narry came up with timely solutions that did not compromise nor sacrifice the overall look that I wanted. The employees of N. Barlow Construction work hard and diligently to get the job done correctly and immediately brought to my attention when they saw potential problems that might occur. Narry always checks on his workers to make sure they are doing the job properly and carry out the plans we envisioned. Communication was smooth & effortless. I could text when I had an idea or question to ask. Narry did a great job in texting different floor tile options, counter tops, backsplash tiles and overall process of the remodeling when I was at work to ensure the correct process. I will eventually need more remodeling done to my place and I'll definitely call N. Barlow Construction LLC, to get the job done. Narry & his employees made the vision that I had for a modern, updated kitchen become a reality! Just as my friend did for me, I highly recommend them to whoever needs a remodeled kitchen.

Narry and his team were very professional, they did an excellent job. they went right to work they covered the area where they were working from and made sure they cleaned up every time they left for the day. If he was running late he always gave a courtesy call. My wife and I are very pleased with the work and will hiring him for future repairs.

Narry and his team exceeded in their work and really made me feel at ease with the professionalism and effectiveness of his team. They were courteous, respectful, and most importantly, patiently listed to what I requested for the job. The quality of their work was impeccable (from drywalling, to the installation of items noted). What I loved about working with Narry and his team was that the communication was excellent; there were thorough lines of communication every step of the way. What was especially impressive what the teams attention to detail and how clean they kept the work site. At the end of every day, the team would keep the site clean and organized. It was a pleasure working with Narry and his team, and I would definitely recommend him for any work you are looking to do. I will surely be enlisting in his help for the future.

Mr. Barlow and his team were very punctual and located the leak. They completed the work within 2 days and were available in a short period time. They were also very reasonable in price and very clean. When they finished their work, they threw out all old garbage and disposed of all unwanted materials as many workers don't do that nowadays. I was very happy with their service and work.

The project went excellent. Workers arrived on time and were very polite. Would definitely hire again and I plan on it!

It went smoothly and quickly. We had to reschedule after the first day because I bought glass tile instead of ceramic. Narry was very gracious and sent his crew back as soon as I could replace the tiles. They did a beautiful job and were pleasant and professional. I have already scheduled Narry to come back and do some tiling in my bathroom.

the project went well. nassy was very responsive and was able to schedule quickly. the backsplash looks awesome.

They contacted me to address the work within a short period after purchasing the deal. We worked out a good time and they came as agreed. Just need to be mindful of what you purchased and stay cognizant when starting the work. The installer, Kevin, did a fabulous job addressing what needed to be done. The quality of the work was very good. Would definitely hire for other work.

We bought our house three years ago and my husband has not stopped having work done to it ever since. Unfortunately, with every project has come disappointments... work took longer than expected and the quality never matched the price or promise. Needless to say at this point my faith in others, their work ethics, and skills were gone! We hired Narry and his crew to finish a job that was started and once again done incorrectly. I was so frustrated by the time they arrived at our home to fix a problem they did not create- I was very sceptical and not very welcoming ( guards fully up and ready to be disappointed once again). Narry and his crew has restored my faith in the fact that there are still decent, hard working, and talented craftsmen out there. We are using them again in the near future to not only redo some past work that was not done correctly but to also start and finish some other projects we have planned! Narry and his crew did a good job. They fixed all areas involving the construction. It was a job well done. He did everything he was asked to do . I would use his services again . Narry just remember to order a few XXlL shirts for the next job . Keep up the good work.

Experience went very well. I have had bad experiences with contractors in the recent past, so dealing with N Barlow was a breath of fresh air. They worked quickly and efficiently. Payment schedule was fair and there were no hidden fees or "last minute" surprise costs. They began when they said they would and finished in a very reasonable amount of time. I also appreciated how clean they were. My furniture was protected and they made sure to remove all debris each day. I would definitely work with them again and would recommend them without hesitation.

It was a fantastic experience working with N Barlow Construction. From the very first phone call about the project to the first in-home visit to confirming the start date and time frame, Mr. Barlow was there and available by phone and text. He made sure that the space such as floors and walls were well-protected. I appreciated his bright, positive personality which made it easy to get started and get through the project. I had not done such an intensive project before and did not know how to gauge size or choose between colors. With the experience he has on many projects, he helped me make great choices that I’m happy with. His crew, too, reflects his expectations and customer service. They all speak highly of him and give their 100% on the job. I had to be away from home for much of the time and was very comfortable leaving the house in their care. Of Mr. Barlow’s crew, Kevin, in particular, stood out. He is incredibly talented in tile work which brought out the beauty of the tiles I selected. Anytime I had reasonable requests, such as switching out white lights for the yellow ones or installing a hand-held shower head instead of fixed or a shower drain with tiny holes, Mr. Barlow was accommodating. In addition, I asked for a couple of add-ons for which he quoted me a reasonable price and cushioned it into the time frame. In short, he was always responsive, completed the project on time, and his crew took good care of the surrounding space despite how much effort and time the bathroom renovation project ended up taking. The end result is that the bathroom Mr. Barlow helped me design and build is now much more spacious, beautiful and, most importantly, comfortable and a joy to use.

Narry and his crew were excellent. We gutted our home 2 years ago and worked with a terrible contractor who ended up quitting on the job, leaving us to fend for ourselves with our bathroom and while it was functional, it was not pretty. Narry's guys came in and did a wonderful job. They were exceptionally professional, listened to our laundry list of concerns and addressed every last one of them. They also did a wonderful job leaving our home clean and protected from any dust, which was key with having two small children around as well. I would use them again in the future for sure. I'm pleased with the work that Narry and his crew did. They were punctual and worked continuously and tirelessly in the heat. On the first day they put plastic over the furnitures, floor and stairways to protect from any damages. The finish product came out wonderfully and would use them again for future projects. Narry has a good vision which I trusted.

Narry and his team did an amazing job – we now have two brand-new, spectacular looking bathrooms that have everything we asked for (and then some). Narry and his guys are true professionals, not only was the quality of the work high, but they were also incredibly honest, kind, polite and humble. The highlights of both bathrooms are the tile work and the color contrasts. Narry listened to everything we wanted and made every last detail happen. He also had some great suggestions from other jobs he’s worked on that we incorporated, and of course those suggestions turned out great. The value added in having two brand-new (full size) bathrooms far exceeds the costs. Could not be happier with the way it turned out. Truly above and beyond. Would absolutely recommend N Barlow Construction to others.
