Update: 7/1/2021 - I had Neighborhood Specialists come out and replace/upgrade two furnaces, two AC units, water heater, and air filtration system in our new home. Once again, stellar service! Neighborhood Specialists have been my go-to for many years now. Everything from AC repairs on my old AC unit, whole house humidifier install, to replacing the AC and Furnace completely. Dependable, on-time, professional, honest, and a great value. I have recommended them to many neighbors and friends. You will not be disappointed!

It went smoothly and excellent. The guys were professional and courteous. They worked hard and completed my project in good time. Now everything is working like a charm. I would recommend them to anyone!

Tech arrived on time, diagnosed the problem and replaced the faulty part quickly. I am very pleased with the tech's workmanship and customer service.

Replaced inducer assembly which vents carbon monoxide from the furnace. Took about two hours, including time it took to fetch the part. Same day service was much appreciated as was the courtesy and competence of the tech, Monte. I'd definitely use these guys again.

When the AC failed, we waited until after the summer to get it repaired because it wasn't in the main part of the house. Before we got an HVAC technician to the house to look at the AC, the furnace stopped working. I had Neighborhood Specialists come out and told them that the AC had stopped working before the end of the summer and now the furnace wasn't heating either, and I asked if we needed to replace the whole system since it was over 20 years old. The Neighborhood Specialist technician looked at the system and insisted that we only needed to replace the circuit board. Between the initial service call, flushing the drain trap and installing a new circuit board, Neighborhood Specialists charged us a total of $720 for parts and labor. But apparently the technician had only looked at the furnace and never looked at the outdoor AC unit, even though I told him it had stopped working over the summer. So after paying for the repairs, we had heat, but several months later we still had no AC when the weather got hot. Turns out that the AC fan motor was burned out - which every other contractor could immediately see when they looked at the unit - and it wasn't worth replacing due to the age of the unit (almost 25 years old). So we ended up having multiple contractors come look at the system and give us quotes. Neighborhood Specialists admitted that the fan motor was the problem, not just a circuit board, and we needed a new system. They said that they would refund the cost of the circuit board because it was their mistake. But they never gave us an estimate for the work, even after I checked back with them. So we finally hired another HVAC contractor to do the work. Before the new system was installed, I contacted Neighborhood Specialists and asked them to come remove the circuit board (that was barely used, since the system had been shut down) and give us the promised refund. But they refused. Not only would they not refund their cost for the part, they wouldn't refund the profit they made on their mistake. This is a very unreliable company. They didn't listen when I described what was wrong with the HVAC system, they misdiagnosed the problem, they charged us $720 for a useless repair, they promised to refund our money because it was their error, but then refused to give us any money back. Very poor business practice.

Stellios is a hands on owner/manager of a great company "Neighborhood Specialists." As always, his team responded immediately to my call for a tenant with no AC. He had a technician there the next day, on a 3-day Labor Day Weekend. The assessment was quick and problem resolved in one hour. The absolute best.

They were wonderful. Responded very quickly and came out the same day. Found the problem quickly made the repair, gave me some great advise for keeping my system running smoothly in the future. I would use again if for sure!

Very good! It's always excellent, they were prompt, always respond quickly through calls and emails and genuinely did a good job. I trust them and they have a great customer service.

Extremely well. The head of the company came to my house on Sunday night to check what was wrong so they could buy the necessary parts the next day. The were at my home by 11am on Monday and the repair went very well. They were friendly and professional without being overbearing....so I will switch my furnace service to them.

It went great! He showed me the problem and explained that it was good I got it replaced before more damage occurred. No attempt to upsell or anything.

It went well. All services done as requested and on time. Technician worked within a very confined space but made it work. In the process of moving the WH into our basement, two slates were broken and a tie around the tiny patio was knocked down. I would have appreciated being told about it by the installers instead of finding it for myself. It’s not a big deal, but for future customer encounters you may want to ask technicians to be more forthcoming. Thanks.

After a friend recommended Neighborhood Specialists (NS) to me for a hot water heater and HVAC replacement , I read the reviews. What stunned me was the company only had 5 Star reviews!! Could they really be that good? I was skeptical. But after meeting Stelios and working with him, I can honestly say I am convinced. They earn every one of those 5 stars they get! For more years than I care to admit, I have been using another local HVAC company and NS far outshines them. Stelios is responsive, honest, fair, forthcoming, diligent, hard-working and you can trust what he says. Each appointment I made with NS, Stelios was there early, twice waiting for me to arrive. He respected my time was valuable. I had never experienced that with my other service provider. In fact, whenever they gave me a window of time for their arrival, they NEVER came in that window. Stelios made preparation for every contingency. On installation day, he brought a tent to cover the outside AC unit as there was rain in the forecast, which never materialized. My other company always canceled appointments if there was even a slight chance of rain. As a result, NS will be my new HVAC/hot water heater service provider going forward. I am saying GOODBYE to substandard service, unfulfilled promises of service, and the constant waiting games!

Neighborhood Specialists quickly diagnosed the lack of cooling from our air conditioner and fixed the fan so we had cooling again within hours and on the same day as the call was placed.

AMAZING!! This is the ONLY company you should call when you need an HVAC rebuild or even maintenance. They are more than technicians and installers....they are thermodynamic engineers. They sweat every detail to ensure your property is COMPLETELY protected against anything that can go wrong and they deliver only the system you really need. INTEGRITY --- it's hard to find these days, they have it and live it. Your contractor cut every corner and they fix them with no extra charge, ceremony or lecture. They were punctual, polite and professional every step of the way --- actually actively DISCOURAGED options that would have cost more in favor of what was actually needed. When they show you where your previous builder/contractor did things wrong ... it is without the disparaging lecture and instead a positive path forward. Once in a while you find the "real deal" --- it's worth the premium because they deliver. Already handed out 20 cards to family and friends.

After excellent experiences in the past with Neighborhood Specialists for urgent service calls, we decided to use them to replace our antiquated air conditioning unit. Their price was more than competitive and the estimate included several options with an fair explanation of the pros and cons of options that would add to the cost. As always, they were prompt, efficient, courteous and not disruptive at all. The unit has been in for a couple of weeks and working just fine.

Incredible responsiveness -- technician arrived within 2 hours of the call and repaired the loose wire right away at very reasonable cost. They are polite, punctual and know what they are doing. I have used them many times for myself and my clients, as I am a realtor, and I can say that they are consistently and every time reliable and provide excellent and reasonable service.

My water heater began leaking and so I needed a new one ASAP. I worked with Stelios. He was very responsive via the messaging feature in Angie's List, over email, and on the phone. I found Stelios to be clear in his explanations and forthcoming with my different options, even if they'd put more work on his plate. He worked quickly to find a good water heater and offered to replace it same day. Stelios made sure his work was up to code and made recommendations to improve the installation of the water heater which wouldn't cost any extra. He kept his work area clean and left everything looking good. Our hot water is back and the new water heater is working very well. I am very pleased with Stelios' service and would certainly hire him again.
