Everything was great. Communication to schedule the appointment was friendly and professional, and the tech was on time, very nice, and finished up pretty quickly. Unlike some contractors, there was no mess at all left behind which is an extra bonus! I would absolutely recommend for any work needed.

Repair tech did the job as promised. He suggested using a double spring since my door was a double garage door. He also advised me on keeping the rollers lubed. Repair took only about 20 minutes.

Response time within 2 hours of first contact. When he arrived he was very courteous & professional. Was done within 1/2 an hour & we were able to use our garage door again. Couldn't of been any easier, the world would be a better place if all home contractors operated like them. I will use them again. Thank You.

Spring broke 2 days before Christmas. Richard with neighborly was able to come out same day and showed up right when he said he would. He called to confirm 20 minutes before he arrived. He was fast and professional and our door is working like new again.

We have used this company before for garage door opener repair and maintenance. They have always done a great job. This time they came out with short notice on a Saturday, with no additional charge. Their minimum visit charge is very reasonable and it is applied against any work done. They had the parts with them and were able to replace the stripped gears inside the opener, as well as diagnose and fix the underlying cause of the problem. They had us back up and running in less than an hour.

Had my second service call with this firm today, and it was just as punctual and professional as the first. Richard did a great job replacing the torsion springs and educating me on how to get the most life cycle from the entire unit. Highly recommend Neighborly!

<p>I called Richard and made an appointment for the next day. He gave me a 2 hour window, but said that he would call me with approx. 30 minutes notice prior to his arrival. He called in the early afternoon, I left work to meet him and he was done in less than an hour.</p> <p>Richard is a very personable and professional guy. The technician (Richard) showed up on time, was friendly, courteous and EXTREMELY knowledgeable about everything and anything having to do with garage doors, all of the parts, openers, which brands are the best quality and knew all of the safety rules/regulations relating to garage door openers. I actually hung around out in the garage for a little while and learned some things that I never knew regarding my garage door. Richard didn't try to up-sell me on stuff that I didn't need, but made well informed recommendations so in addition to just having him install the new garage door opener, I purchased all new better quality rollers and had him replace a broken hinge. Richard worked quickly but effectively and did a GREAT, thorough job, explaining to me what work he had done, described some of the features of the Chamberlain garage door I had bought (even though I had bought the opener from Lowe's and not his company) and he made sure everything was working perfectly....even made sure that there was no mess. I used Neighborly Garage because a friend referred me and this company now has a new long term customer in me. Their installation price was more than reasonable and their expertise in the field showed immediately. Appointment was available on the same day. They missed the first service window by 30 minutes and I wasn't able to wait for them, but they arranged a second service window later that day and completed the work well and quickly. Very professional, and I would use them again.

No one showed up for my original appointment, and no one returned my calls when I left messages that day. I finally got a call a few days later apologizing for the "mix-up". We rescheduled the appointment, and they showed up on time the second go-round. When they eventually got to it, the work was satisfactory, but I had taken an afternoon off to meet them originally and it was quite frustrating to have a no-show. While the person who did the work acted in a professional manner, but the fact they did not show up for the original appointment and did not communicate promptly resulted in a poor "Professionalism" score. It may be they're having issues getting things worked out for handling appointments generated from Angie's List, but there was really no excuse for not returning my call until days later. This was the first time I used Angie's List to have work done, and to be blunt, it's soured me on the whole concept.

I had to negotiate to receive a FAIR price and then they charged my credit card with the wrong price. They also did NOT provide a receipt after work was completed. They said they would email a receipt the next day and after 4 requests for my receipt, I still have NOT received a receipt which is required by law. Buyer beware when doing business with this Company!!

Unfortunately on occasions like this we find ourselves trying to help a person in need and paying the price for our generosity. Not only did we reduce our price below normal for this customer but we performed additional work for free. After all work was performed and paid for, Mr C*** called disputing the amount he'd paid..... we totally agree that MR C*** paid more than the quoted parts and labor BUT when it was explained that the difference was tax he went into a rage and insisted on being refunded the tax and if we didn't that he would slander our name on Angies List. The one thing Mr C*** promised and actually stuck to was this bad review and in addition he is now threatening to reverse all charges on his credit card and get all repairs for free if we don't refund the tax. Per MR C***'s request we will be deducting the tax from his invoice and we as a company will pay for his sales tax because making MR C*** a more satisfied customer is more important."

Richard came over within 45 minutes of telling him our problem (broken spring). He was fast, professional, gave a very fair price and offered a lifetime warranty on the springs. In fact, beat every price I had found up to that point. Replaced both springs, both drums and all my rollers in about an hour. Also gave me tips on maintaining the door for years to come.
