This company did a remodel on my house and it turned out great. Everything they promised they did, I am very satisfied with their work and professionalism. I recommend them, I'm sure you'll be satisfied just like me.

Gil and his team did a fantastic job on our complicated reno project! He completed the renovation of our two-family home to incorporate the attic into the second floor unit, update finishes, and fully electrify both units. We really appreciated how much Gil worked with us, from handling the permitting process quickly and efficiently to executing the finer details on built-ins and other finish work. He was incredibly responsive throughout the whole process as questions came up both during planning and in construction. He was also a pleasure to work with which is often overlooked but important! Despite delays for some materials that were out of his control and changes that we requested, Gil kept the project on schedule--we were able to move back into our beautiful new home before Christmas and the birth of our second baby! We look forward to working with NE Carpentry again.

We could not recommend Gil and his team more highly than we do. We had had a slew of bad experiences with other contractors prior to booking that we were cautious about what was to come. Gil had come very highly recommended from a prominent woodworking group that we knew so we decided to trust in that. So glad we did. I truly didn’t think a contractor existed that was exceptional in their skill as well as kind and economically conscious of cost for their customer. It was not only such a pleasure to work with him and his crew but additionally, we are relieved that we now have someone on whom we can count on to come through for us - on all levels - for anything we need going forward.

Im pretty sure i have the right company, they came to do my floors in my apartment and they are absolutely beautiful! Completely changed my apartments feel to it😁 The guys that came in were super nice and moved heavy furniture for me which was a life saver and they got done within 6hours which i wasn’t expecting! Overall great , fast and beautiful work!

Gil Bocaneli of NE Carpentry helped me replace an external facing door to my roof. It was leaking to the ceiling below and the winter holidays were coming up quickly. With a tight deadline I was able to meet up, get a very reasonable quote and get the parts ordered and installed. I really appreciated the sensitivity to the my situation. He did a great job and it looked like new.

Gil and his team did an outstanding job on our staircase renovation. They rebuilt the banister, handled the drywall, and refinished, and everything came out incredibly clean and precise. The craftsmanship really stands out, from the smooth lines of the railing to the attention to detail around the steps and finishes. The space feels completely transformed. They kept the work area tidy throughout and were professional from start to finish. Solid, high-quality work, I would absolutely recommend them.

I have hired New England Carpentry several times for various projects, including facade repairs and repaint on a 3-story multifamily property in South Boston to replacing deck railing and balusters to building out a washer/dryer door frame to fit a larger set of machines. Gil has always been responsive, reliable, and fair. He always worked through what his client wanted but gave recommendations to save cost without sacrificing quality and look. Gil is trustworthy and my go-to for any project. This review is also after some time has passed and I can confirm his quality work holds up.

I highly recommend NE Carpentry for quality of workmanship, professionalism, and good communication from beginning to end. We had four old windows replaced, two in a rental apartment where the tenant was working. The workers were sensitive in keeping noise and disruption to a minimum. Wood was replaced where necessary around window frames, all was painted at completion, and cleanup left all in order. The two workers, as well as Gil, were a pleasure to work with and to have in our home. We had NE Carpentry renovate two back porches two years ago. We will continue to turn to them for their excellent work as needed in the future.

Work was done right and on time - great workmanship

Absolutely spectacular craftsmanship; easy and pleasant exchange during the performance of the jobs (they have done three major jobs in our house and and we keep calling on them). Jobs were completed on time. The product was much better than ever imagined. Absolutely trustworthy.

Gil was terrific. Was on time for appt, pointed out some other problems due to no flashing when deck installed, and sent quote for replacement of door and frame, installing flashing, and bracing support beam. Work was done in a timely manner and everyone was very professional and efficient.

They built a new roof deck after a roof repair required replacement of the old deck. The new deck is fantastic and they did a great job!

Gil was in constant contact with us. We had many extra steps added to our project due to the age of the house, getting it up to code. The workers were courteous, professional and worked hard to complete the job in a reasonable timeframe. We are thrilled with how it came out, and will use New England Carpentry for future projects.

Gil from NE carpentry did a lot of work for me. The most impressive was that Gil worked with me to repair my interior front porch after a massive leak during a storm destroyed it. Because my house is on the beach and very exposed, every other contractor declined the job. Gil and his team were very rigorous and patient and they did succeed in waterproofing the porch. They did rebuild it and did fantastic work. The team communicates well, is always on time, does a great job and always clean after the workday. Their prices are very fair and transparent. I will continue to work with NE carpentry and I highly recommend them.

Gil was professional, on time, and communicative to make sure the work will result the outcome I expect. He was very efficient and finished the job in less than 8-9 hours. He made sure I inspected all the work to my satisfaction.

This project took a few twists and Gil stayed with us through it all. What started out as a simple idea became much more involved when we discovered our roof had to be re-framed to shore it up before we could vault the ceilings. He even helped line up an engineer who did quick work in drawing up revised plans at a reasonable cost. Gil's team and his subcontractors were hardworking, pleasant to work with, and did quality work. Texting and talking by phone proved to be a better way to stay in touch with Gil than detailed e-mails. We're very happy with the finished product, and would definitely hire them again.

Cannot say enough good things about Gill and his crew. We had a few windows with severe rot around the trim and sill. Gill removed all rotted wood, insulated and replaced it with PVC to prevent future rot then painted. It looks so much better and has solved an issue with water seepage from rain/melting. Gill was prompt to provide a quote and was able to get us on the schedule with a matter of days from accepting the proposal. The work was done with care and to a high standard. We will most definitely be using Gill again for future projects.
