Paid fir a service package from angie’s list for services on 3/26/17 Steve Wagy—played phone tag but ultimately never scheduled and stopped returning my calls Work never completed—out the $$$. Dishonest and would NOT recommend him

We also don't have any service packages from Angie's list and we also don't do interior carpentry. We do interior and exterior painting and drywall repairs mainly. If our Company would have done the work, we would have completed it, we wouldn't have walked away and not finished it, but our company never did any work for you. It went as poorly as it could have. Steven Wagy from New Image Construction and Renovation collected a large amount of money from us, to include a deposit and material draw, and only performed less than 4 hours of total work. We are left without several thousand dollars, a torn down closet, and holes in our wall and ceiling. Steven has ignored any and all attempts of ours to contact him and rectify the situation. These attempts have come via text message, email, social media, and phone calls. He has displayed very poor communication skills, a poor work ethic, and has been very dishonest.

"This homeowner in the beginning decided not to pull proper permits to go ahead and proceed with the project. After my team started demo she decided she wanted to pull the permits. We were not able to proceed with the project due to having to wait for the homeowner to get the proper inspections and permits. We were more than willing to proceed as soon as those permits were taken care of. However she decided she no longer wanted to proceed with the bathroom project."

Steven is a highly-skilled craftsman. However, he is a one-man operation. He may be a general contractor but he makes very little use of subcontractors. That means it takes a long time to get a job started and a long time to get it completed. When we signed a contract at the first of October 2016, we indicated that we needed the work finished by mid-November. He was very honest and said he could not complete the work by then, that was more like the time he could start the work. That was okay with us. When we checked with him mid-November he indicated it would be more like December before he could start. December and January came and went. We gave up all hope of having the work done by him and started getting estimates from contractors again. About that time he was ready to start. So, on February 2, 2017 work began. The quality of the work he did when he finally got to work was very high. The walls, cabinetry, lighting, tub and tile were installed beautifully. The woodwork and trim is lovely and he pays extreme attention to detail. The plumbing was a challenge, but he made it happen. When things go wrong (and on any large project they will go wrong) he was quick to take care of it. A plumbing leak in the upstairs construction caused a problem with our ceiling downstairs. He fixed it immediately and you can't tell where the accident happened. The ceiling finish is flawless. Right after he finished in May, we discovered all the plumbing was backwards (hot and cold). He assured us it was a quick fix, but it was July until he managed to get it fixed. He works hard, but he is only 1 person. So everything takes much longer than it should. At the end of the day, the real question is "would you hire this person again or recommend them to a friend." My answer would be if you don't need the work done quickly or you don't care when it is done then hire this contractor. He does very good work and he fixes his mistakes. You aren't going to find higher quality. However, if it is important that work be completed within a set time-frame, you need work urgently done, or you care about how long a job takes then I would select someone else.

It was comforting to know the screens would be replaced correctly, without damage and delivered in time for my husband's birthday. One less thing he has to do after moving into our new home.

Steven has also custom built a fireplace mantle and hung it on our stone wall. It looks like it's been there forever. Steven takes pride in his work and it shows. He's not happy unless ur happy. He is fair, reliable, and does great work. He came highly recommend to me and I would also highly recommend him to anyone else.

Steve did everything we needed done . Toilet ring failed in our upstairs bathroom , we had to have our subfloor removed and replaced, our flooring replaced . Due to water damage we also needed kitchen ceiling repair done . Drywall needed removed and replaced Steve did this seamlessly . We are more then satisfied with the work he did for us . And will definitely be calling him on and and all future projects.

Let me start off by saying that this is the best company I have ever worked with. New Image is awesome ! I have given his name to many people already. When he said something was going to take 3 days that is what is took. He has done an awesome job on our kitchen, dining room and sitting room. He always went above and be on to fix or replace or even make for me. <br /> <br /> He was here and when my other contractor walked off the job, New Image was here to pick up the pieces. <br /> <br /> We are very happy with this company and we looked forward to working with him in the future. <br /> <br /> I have a Sunroom I would like him to do and garage.
