Donald E. Schaeffer Jr.’s last statement to the Generac Resolutions Specialist and me was “…Newtown HVAC rejects any wrong doing in this matter.” My generator stopped functioning and I hired a certified Generic dealer who prepared the report which includes attachments. Both gas line and electric wiring needs to be removed and re-done and the estimate is approximately $10,000. Newton HVAC is NOT a Generic dealer. This situation remains unresolved.

We have been using them for years. They put in new heaters in two different house of ours, and hot water heaters in our houses.

Technician fixed the problem quickly and the house was warm again. I have used this company since I bought my home 11 years ago and have had very good responsiveness from them. They are a pleasure to work with and professional. Not once have they failed to come out and solve my problem or to do preventive maintenance on my heater/air conditioner. <br />

This is without a doubt the WORST possible company I have ever dealt with in HVAC, in fact in ANY industry. The owner Don/Donny will promise you whatever you ask for, and even if he delivers it's installed or configured wrong. He has No idea what he is doing but through his family connections he's been able to make a lot of money from hard working people like us. So, after the install we had 3 different problems that they never resolved, even after us Offering to pay for the fixes. So, after 5 years or so the unit began to leak water all over our basement. We had a service contract with Christian HVAC who pointed out that the drip pan was installed wrongly and that the Morons who installed the Air Handler in the basement had placed the Filter directly below the drip pan. For anyone who knows about Gravity will realize right away that water falls downwards. And it did exactly that, onto the filter. This sadly enough caused Mold to grow and then be distributed throughout the whole house and raised the humidity so high that the whole house got infested with mold, sourced from the air vents which were so high in humidity that the vents themselves began to RUST. After a little while I became sick from this and it eventually led to us in 2011 to replace the Entire Heat Pump unit inside and out, along with ripping out ALL ductwork and putting in all new equipment and Ductwork. This of course was after remediation of all the mold in the house which cost us well over $55,000. We had to rip out all carpets and insulation and any cloth furniture. Thank God my daughter and elderly Father did not get sick as they were not in the house as much as I was, since I work from home. So now I have something called Hypersensitive Pneumitus, which I'm told could lead to COPD at some distant point. We found a new HVAC company and he is Amazing. In any case, that Newtown HVAC is able to continue in business is a Crime. I know of 3 other people who had almost exactly the same type of experience (Minus the Mold...). Do Not use these people, for your own good, Please. We are now getting (3 years later...) a Second Heat Pump now installed in the Attic so we will have a two zone system. We closed off all the second floor vents permanently due to the mold, so have had no Heat or Air these 3 years upstairs. Needless to say the other company is doing the work now that we can afford to get it done. Thanks for Reading, and I hope for your sake you don't ignore this story, Every word is true I swear. Don and his crew at Newtown Heating and Air were terrific. <br />Their quote for the job was fair and reasonable. <br />We had gotten estimates from other companies for more costly units. <br />Don explained why a smaller unit would work for us, saving us thousands of dollars. <br />When small modifications were needed, he stuck by his quote , which you rarely see in this field. Strong integrity. <br />They took steps to protect the cleanliness of our house, when work was required inside.. <br />His group of co-workers were friendly and efficient. <br />They took the time to test the unit and make sure we were educated on its features and usage <br />All in all it was an A+ experience from start to finish and I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND them!

It went fine.  They were local. 

The team effort was amazing to watch.  Along with the owner, the guys (Anthony and Joey) were impressive with their knowlege as well as answering my questions.  They were eager to answer and still kept busy with their tasks.  It has been a long time since I witnessed employees who not only cared, but worked extremely well together.  Newtown heating and A/C has a lot to be proud to perform in such a professional envoronment.  They are super. <br /> <br /> Parts were made on site or in their nearby shop to custom fit the heat exchanger to my current duct work.  I am very happy with the state-of-the-art equipment installed.  I feel very comfortable with my new system and highly recommed contacting them. <br /> <br /> The system has been working perfectly.  On 2/10/2014 I called about a message code and service was prompt.  The problem was with my internet service unable to download some new software as a result of the power outages from the recent snow/ice storm. <br /> <br /> I am very interested in some additional work for a battery backup for my sump pump.  I am requesting additional information about a full home generator. <br /> <br /> Also, they cleaned up after the installation and removed all of the old equipment. <br />

In 2005 we purchased a new heating system from Newtown Heating and AC.During the intervening years when we needed service we unfortunately called other companies to work on our furnace. We were told by the other companies many different stories. The information they gave us about our problems and their solutions were at the least unneeded and at the worst fraudulent. <br /> When we needed service in October of this year we called Newtown Heating and AC and asked for help solving our problem. <br /> Donald Schaeffer, the owner of the company came out to our home promptly,and quickly diagnosed the problem. Parts were ordered, a great labor rate was arranged, and our system was back up and running in no time. I can't express how grateful we are. Newtown Heating and AC are expert, professional and extemely efficient in all regards. We give them the highest recomendation possible <br />

Called Newtown Heating to perform maintenance and repair on my gas furnaces.  I was looking to find a new HVAC service company to keep all my equipment in top shape.  Newtown was highly recommended, and the service check by the technician was done promptly and efficiently.  Unfortunately, there were some problem with one unit, and likely it needed to be replace.  That is when the problem started - no matter how many times I called, i could not get any response from Don Jr.  He completely ignored any request to call, and did not show up for an appointment - no call, no follow-up.  I guess our business was not important, and so we found somebody else to do the installation. <br />

It was fantastic. My experience with them was very good. They were very conscientious. We were happy to do business with them, and we would do it again. With regard to price, we always wish it was cheaper.

I am on the homeowner's association board so I can give a review. I would say the experience was positive. The only negative thing I could say is that they are a little slow at returning calls.

I don't think I would let Newtown Heating and Air Conditioning Inc back in my house. They were only here one time. We have heat but it's extreme temperature, it will always be too hot. The parts still needs to be replaced.

They are punctual, polite, and in emergencies they are quick to respond.  Everyone on staff is friendly.  The receptionist, Sandy, is a delight to speak with. 

THEY INSTALLED THE FURNACE AND A/C IN ONE DAY'S TIME. WE WERE VERY SATISFIED WITH THEIR WORK WITH A FEW MINOR EXCEPTIONS. THE NEXT DAY THE OWNER HIMSELF RESPONDED TO MAKE THE CORRECTIONS TO OUR SATISFACTION. I THINK THEIR PRICES WERE VERY REASONABLE FOR THE HIGH END EQUIPMENT THAT WAS INSTALLED (TRANE).
