Be careful what you ask for from NexGen: You will definitely GET IT! From Ashley showing me actual samples and calculating an estimate on the spot, to John listening to all of my medical needs as a retired x-ray tech with trashed knees and making helpful suggestions, to the Construction Crew working like busy bees, while exhibiting expert skills with the tools of their trade and getting everything PERFECT, to the Clean Up Crew that was so thorough you'd never even know a construction project had happened, I'm calling NexGen, NexGEM! I needed stairs that were easier to climb with grabbable railings for my new composite deck and my old, worn wooden front deck. I needed an extra set of stairs making a shorter trip to my shed. I needed my old, wooden back deck to be replaced with a low maintenance composite deck and extended to a bigger, more decent size. NexGen came through like a CHAMP! Other contractors I interviewed never even sent me an estimate days after their consultation. After hearing so many stories about other contractors' NIGHTMARES, NexGen Exterior Home Remodeling was an absolute DREAM! I'm now going to enjoy the relaxing retirement I EARNED, on my NexGen composite back deck that I no longer have to REPAINT each year. Give NexGen Exterior Home Remodeling a chance. I am THRILLED that I did! UPDATE 12/4/25: I painted the front porch in Jersey Shore colors, in honor of my Mom. Added night lights and a wooden ball at the bottom .(See photos.) John, the project manager, and Scott from Sales were amazing with customer service. Honest, communicative, and helpful as well as available for questions. Expectations were set and managed professionally. The crew that came was extremely respectful of our old house and careful to avoid causing unintentional damage to the other portions of the house. Joh was completed in its intended timeframe. During the job, John the project manager was extremely accommodating and maintained exemplary professionalism throughout, also consistently checking on the progress. I would highly recommend this remodeling company to anyone who is considering siding, and especially if you have a historical house and are looking for someone who appreciates that. Thanks so much!

Well, what I got to say is that when the salesman came day one which is named Nick he was great and he came and made sure that all the measurements was right and all the material that I need was perfect and then Steve kept in contact with me all the way through the whole process and he’s here with me now and it’s been a beautiful thing ever since they started and the workers that came were very efficient. They did everything to pacific. They even did a door for my wife so I want to say that these guys is the best and I love him and I would recommend them to anybody peace out.

NexGen build me a 200 sq foot deck over my driveway, similar to other houses in my East Mt Airy neighborhood and replaced rotting trim around my garage. Appreciated that NexGen advised the scope to what would pass zoning/permitting. There were delays in starting due to the zoning permit not being issued (while the building permit was submitted and approved in 2 weeks) but the issue was probably the city’s fault and the build was scheduled for/completed in the winter, so I wasn’t concerned about timeline. Actual construction was fast - and so far, I am very happy with the results and price.

A wonderful job. Very quick response when a tree fell on our house and caused roof damage - the roof had been installed by NexGen 5 years prior & was working well through storms and high winds. NexGen worked closely with our insurance company ensuring we received all of the compensation we needed and were due. We have had NexGen replace doors at the house as well and have been very pleased with the responsiveness, expertise, efficiency, workmanship & personalized care afforded by all of the folks working there. Wouldn't go anywhere.

NextGen was fantastic. Very easy to communicate with. Steve the project manager was thorough, checked on his crew often and with us throughout the project. We'll done! Recommend to anyone who had to get deck work done.

NexGen installed metal roof in main house and asphalt singles for the garage, and I really enjoyed the process and was very happy with my new roof. Upon their suggestion, we also re-did the siding of attics, the fascia (custom bent aluminum capping), as well as gutter replacement to meet the requirements of metal roofing. The roofing and surroundings are look really nice. I found NexGen based on Angi’s recommendation. After talked to three contractors, I felt that they had the most experiences with metal roofing, very knowledgeable about the service and product, and the pricing was reasonable. The project took about a month to complete, and I had no regret to have them installed the roofing and accessories. After signed the contract, the project started with a welcome letter, which detailed the steps and the manager to be responsible for each step. I received text messages and emails ahead of time for the coming events, such as selecting the materials/colors, signing the documents, delivery of the dumpster truck or roofing materials, or crews coming for daily works, etc. Whenever I have questions and concerns, I either sent the text or call, the manager would be back to me very quickly. Not only the managers were very professional, but also the crew. After removing the old roofing, the underneath was carefully inspected, and damaged plywood was replaced. They made sure that the new installed metal panels were well protected when reaching over for the sidings installation. They always cleaned up after a long day of work, no matter how late it was. Due to the structure of my house, which there were a lot of details surrounding fascia and frieze board, they were patient to go through for capping, and it probably required much more work than initially planned, so they even came during the weekend to get it done. Overall, I am very happy with the project and would consider NexGen for other projects or recommend to others.

The installation went great. Total time was 3 days. Final deck and railing looks awesome.

Would recommend and use again. Good communication, they were easy to text for updates and questions. Fair pricing, collaborative process from the estimate to the install, and they finished the job faster than I expected.

This company responded immediately to my request. Once hired the workers were on time and completed the job in 2 days. I must say I had a lot of leaves under the porch and a supervisor offered to bag them for me. This was above and beyond and it was very much appreciated. Now, the work. It was shoddy to say the least. They must have gone to the landfill to pick up the worst wood they could. The wood that was there from 1986 looked better than what is currently on my home. I contacted the salesperson 9/1/23 to discuss. It’s now 9/15/23 and I have heard nothing. I am not pleased with the work done. I cannot even look at it when I leave my house. This was supposed to be a professional job, not one done by a handyman. The work needs to be redone at the contractors expense, not mine and that would include new wood and the paint job. I’m a female and a senior citizen and feel I’ve been taken advantage of based on the work performed.

ZERO STARS! They LIE about their services. Communication was crap, nobody did *anything* they claimed. They should NOT have sold the job of replacing our sliding door in addition to our deck if they didn't have crew enough to finish both jobs. We are so frustrated, we would happily have waited until the off season to have an A-Team crew... we got their F-Team instead. Now we have a deck but can't use our *yard!* and need to hire a handyman to correct all these mistakes. 1) No dumpster was ever delivered for the deck demo though we left our driveway open for them They could have used a smaller skip in the back yard, or even a wheelbarrow, to collect all the construction debris, instead they trashed our entire back yard with everything; then to add insult to injury their workers thew their food and empty drinks across our lawn. So many nails screws and shards of debris it's going to take us months (and a metal detector) for us to clean up all their mess. The new deck looks SO pretty on top, but on the bottom they didn't match anything on top.. it looks only half finished from the ground. 2) Price increases every time we turned around... I suspect this is their way to lowball estimates but then claim perfectly visible joists weren't visible previously and then told us they're ALL bad and needed replacing. This is total bait/switch! 3) Apparently their sales team can't do basic math for how much concrete would be needed, we told them we already HAD existing footers (again upselling us) they left a pallet's worth of concrete bags sitting on our driveway (likely charged us for the unused extra), poured tops on our 3 footers but then left the round forms half in the ground. No clue how do we get these out but they said they're done, left it all unfinished and walked away. There was *no* on site supervision of their crew after one initial visit. They dug holes around each submerged footer to raise the height of the new footers, but left a total mess of dirt piled around each hole. No effort made to push any dirt back around the footers nor remove the forms. 4) Paid $3k above the deck cost (which wasn't cheap) to replace our slider door but they left daylight showing around the edges of the new installation, they never came back to fix that as promised. They took our old screen door which we wanted to replace on another slider door, but that's gone. They never installed the new screen, just left it laying there. Even using Google translate to communicate with the workers he looked at it, looked at me, then walked away leaving that unfinished. Worst of all they claim they won't replace ANY interior trim which THEY REMOVED!!! They never completed that job either. 5) THE WORST OF ALL was walking through our yard and finding 10,000+ screws, nails and bolts and trash strewn across the lawn. Thanks Nexgen for leaving us open to litigation if a neighbor's kids or guests gets a nail in their foot! ALL could have been prevented if they'd used a skip or dumpster as promised, or even a wheelbarrow. 6) They don't return calls and they offered us only $500 discount for the troubles they caused us. A handyman will charge us twice that for door insulation and trim replacement. We're getting estimates, getting legal advice, and we'll see NexGen in small claims court.

Everyone at Nexgen was great, knowledgeable, courteous. They did everything they promised . Nexgen completed the project in record time , and the workers were very neat, they respected my property, and they worked hard .I would recommend Nexgen to anyone. I can’t say enough good things about Nexgen .

We are thrilled with the new deck built by NexGen. From the sales rep who took the time to understand our needs, to the pre-project inspection to be sure there would be no "gotcha's", to the project manager who stayed in touch throughout the process, to the construction crew who worked fast, hard, and clean -- everyone was great! I highly recommend them.

Project looked good at the finish line. We are satisfied. Their siding team was very good (re-sided the whole house). Looks very professional and they did a good job of getting the details right. Made sure to caulk seams, etc. Window looks great too. The door took slightly longer than expected but looks good in the end. The roof over the door that they built looks fine, but I would recommend customers get legitimate architectural designs for it first, so everyone is on the same page. Not sure if it was their guy or a subcontractor who built it, but it was a kind of "build as you go" process that got a little hairy. Turned out good in the end. Real test will be if it all holds up over time!

Thank you is not enough for a job well done on my deck build. I have waited a long time for this project, and I was so fortunate to partner with NexGen Exterior Home Remodeling to bring my vision to fruition. I cannot be more pleased with the end result.
