I found them on Angie's List. It is an old house and old houses have glazed windows. We called three other places and he was the only one that would do glazing. It wasn't a great experience. I contacted some other places and they were supposed to call and then they never did. I finally got hold of Vitro Glass and he said that he would do it. He was kind of late and it took a couple of calls to get him over there to do it. So, it was not a pleasant experience. I didn't see the window and I can't tell you if it was beautifully done or anything. It was done and that is all I know.

They did a pretty good job.  They were a little sloppy.  I had to have them come back and redo the gasket around the window because it wasn't put in smoothly and you could see it in some places.  They were glad to come back and redo it.  All-in-all I was satisfied.  It was a good price, too.

Individual showed up an hour late for the initial repair, took the damaged window. Brought it back two days later (again, an hour late) and when he retrieved it from the incredibly disorganized van, it was broken again. On the second time around he was two hours late (I didn't wait for him), and on the next try he delivered the window, admonished me for missing our last appointment. Individual refused to provide a receipt for payment (they don't take credit cards), and told me he would email the reciept to me. it took three seperate reminders by phone for him to send me a bootleg reciept. There must be someone better out there.

Overall it was a really good experience. The company was very responsive and sent someone to the house the day after I called. (They would have come that evening, but I was not able to be at home then.) The price was fair, and they worked quickly.

Called once at the last minute for a Saturday assessment. No one came. Called again during the week, and the guys came the next day on time and fixed everything on-site in less than an hour. If you like your repairmen with a little character, then you find that too.

We were having our house painted and as we began the work, we realized it made sense for us to have our transom window (which had been painted over) replaced at the same time. The day that the painting began we called around to have the window replaced. No one except Vitro Glass & Window Repair could agree to do the work quickly. They came out that same day, measured the window and provided a price quote. The work took about 3 days longer than anticipated, but in the end the work was done well and we are happy with the work. Small complaints include: we did not get a written quote, the contractor was not good at coming at the time agreed to, and the work was done while we weren't there and we had no address to mail a check. I had to call the owner a few times to get him to come by to pick up the check.
