Scott Miller (owner) built the fence around my back yard (approx cost $7000) and did a great job. I then contracted for his services for a deck in the same space. He asked for a deposit (approx $2700) for lumber and materials which I gave him. He then said he had some personal tragedies come up and would try to get to my deck when he could. I allowed for some time to pass but had no contact. I went forth with another contractor for my deck as he wasn't able to complete it in a timely manner. When I did make contact with Scott I asked for my deposit and he agreed to give it back after he finished the job he was working on. I had been going back and forth with him in regards to how and when I will receive my deposit including a last text message on December 22. He has since changed his number and is believed to have moved out of state leaving no forwarding contact information.

"(Member name removed) bought a fence and deck from me at the same time 2 deposits were given when the fence was finished I spent 3 days gathering up all the materials for the desk so that once it was started we wouldn’t have to leave in search of material. (Member name removed) then breached the contract and hired someone else to do the deck in fear that I couldn’t finish it in time do to my attention to detail it would have been a masterpiece not one knot in any of the wood. Labor payment was never made for the fence around $2000 I then returned the wood and added three days labor to the bill it should have been four. My phone number hasn’t changed and I haven’t moved anywhere I feel awful that (member name removed) thinks I burned him I wish he would have just payed me for the fence and let me build the deck as stated in the contract I would have finished on time and he could have paid me for the deck upon completion if I had the money I would pay it to protect my good name and make this all go away I offered to meet in the middle and make payments he said that was unacceptable and wants it all rite now do to my injury this is impossible for me."

I had a couple of little issues. He made a long trip to make it here. He is a real nice guy. He did a great job. He is very reasonable.

Scott was very unreliable. We scheduled to have a few new post put in to straighten out our fence. This job should have been done in one day but their excuse was because of the rain they could not finish. They started the job on a Tuesday which was the latest day they said they would come. Put up two post then it began to rain so they had to come back supposedly the next day but did not come back until the following Tuesday after numerous calls and had been previously paid in full. Fair prices, Poor customer service. I would not recommend this company to anyone.

Scott was awesome, he showed up right on time and did great work! He built a courtyard from my front of house to the garage and installed a gate. The white vinyl and beautiful gate set off my house and definitely increased my curb appeal! <br /> I would highly recommend this Company for any fence needs. His price was the lowest bid I got and he did the best fence work I have ever seen in the Virginia Beach area. Scott helped me with the plans of the courtyard and with his help and suggestions the fence turned out beautiful! <br />

The craftsmanship is great but I never knew when he was going to show up to work on the fence. And I never got any phone calls to let me know of delays - until I spoke to him about it. The fence took longer to put up than he said it would and there were no weather delays that factored in. <br />

"I categorically disagree with this review2 days I was rained out both days I had to pick up all the concrete and move it to shelter the last day of the project I work in the rain for 6 hours the fence grew so it was above and beyond the estimatejust for materials labor wasn't added I told (Member name removed)that I would be on the job every day until finished I never start another job until the previous one is complete the entire fence was complete within a week after (Member name removed) made her decision in order to fit it in her budget I took off2700 dollars so I was unable to have the entire crew there and I spoke to (Member name removed) everyday therefore I did not know that the phone call was necessary I apologize for any inconvenience I may have caused her"

Scott & Jerome replaced 192" of fence plus 2 gates (1 single & 1 double wide.) All work very professional - fence posts well placed & very straight - when you look at one side you don't see any lapses in a straight line. The old wooden fence was very heavy & 2 of my neighbors wanted the wood for projects so was able to recycle the wood & not take it to the dump. Scott & Jerome worked from the time they arrived until they were done for the day - mid to late afternoon. The completed project looks great & my neighbors have given me lots of compliments - have a red brick ranch with white windows so the white vinyl fence with lattice trim brightens up the house & my property from the old faded brown wooden fence. <br /> Scott was very willing to do some extra little jobs & told me to call him if he could do anything else I needed done. Scott is very friendly & a hard worker especially in very hot & humid weather. <br /> I would highly recommend Noah Fence to anyone who is searching for an outstanding fence contractor. <br />

The project went very well. We had some rain delay, but otherwise Scott and his assistant were on the job. The fence looks great and is very well constructed. Scott ran into some concrete under some dirt and plants that surprised both of us. As neither knew it was there when the estimate was made, we came to an agreement that was more than fair on Scott's part to increase the cost of the job slightly. I got a deal as the concrete cuts were a big job. I'm very happy with the end product and would use Noah Fence again. <br />

Excellent materials and workmanship. The owner selected the best pickets he could find and made repeat trips to his supplier in order to replace some that weren't up to snuff. The hardware for the gates is heavier grade than I've seen previously -- should last indefinitely. The completed job looks great! <br />

Overall quality is so good you are able to overlook time slippage. One man and 1helper. Mine was a very difficult job because of shape, trees on property line that had to be worked around and large shrubs. <br />

Scott followed-up his initial survey with another call to hand-deliver his estimate, to make sure I understood everything and to answer any questions. He started on time and finished within the manhours quoted although the job was delayed by both weather and other workers installing an irrigation/sprinkler system for three days where he was trying to work. Scott worked around their trenching, etc., as best he could without a single complaint -- add in a couple of days of heavy rain to make his job more difficult -- and he was tied up for longer than he expected through no fault of his own. In spite of everything, <strong><em>he hand-built a beautiful, custom fence for the exact price he originally quoted -- a price 127% lower than the bid from a big box store of almost $7,000!</em></strong> I highly recommend Scott Miller, especially for anyone looking for something more than an off-the-shelf, run-of-the-mill fence. <br />

They were EXCELLENT! Although they were running 2 jobs at once, I didn't feel neglected and they had a large enough crew to take care of our job. They also had all the equipment necessary. Looking down the fence posts before the pickets were added was purely amazing! They were straight as an arrow. The fence is amazing looking and we have had many in the neighborhood stop and ask who put it up. <br />

Replaced wooden gates and adjoining sections of fence, all of which had <br /> been ineptly installed. Highly professional work, from selection of <br /> quality lumber (not an easy task these days), to tidy removal of old <br /> fence, to attractive and sound installation of new fence, to thorough <br /> clean-up -- all on schedule and within estimate. Can't recommend more <br /> highly, and would eagerly hire again. <br />

He did a great job on the fence. He does not know the difference between a recycling can and a trash can. He threw his trash in our trash can. We were in the process of moving and my wife had two full trash cans. Something happened and he was on medication and I gave him a good month to finish the fence. I paid him half and told him I would pay him the rest when the project was completed. I wasn't going to be in town to watch him so I didn't want to pay him everything upfront. When my wife showed up around the 2nd of July, the fence still wasn't done. There was a whole section that needed to be completed. All the tools were laying on the grass. I guess he went home and fell asleep. The job was very good but getting it done on time and cleaning up his own mess was not.

Started at $2,400 and talked himself down to $2,000. I took it, the additional $100 was for additional work. <br /> First day, Noah was several hours late with no helper, got some demolition done and a couple posts set. Second day, rain. Third day, showed up late with helper, more demolition and posts set. Forth and fifth days, late without helper, work substantially complete on fifth day. Sixth day, some minor items left for completion and clean-up. <br /> Noah objected to cleaning up "spoils" from fence posts; finally did it with comment (most under his breath but I overheard anyway) and I finished up the following day. Commented that this was the hardest $400's he ever made and that I talked him down too low. I had to remind him that he talked himself down. A few other choice words were exchanged. <br /> I rated Noah with an "overall experience" of "A" because he built a fence that will last a lifetime, looks good and at a great price. I work with contractors every day and verbal confrontations are not uncommon. <br /> Pros:Outstanding quality at a very good price. I got three bids and this fence could have easily have cost $2,800. <br /> Cons: Never on time.Personal issues affected professionalism. <br />

Scott Miller, the owner of Noah Fence & Deck, doing a favor for a friend, took the job over from the company we had originally contracted with. We're very glad he did. We can't say enough about the quality of Scott's work ? how he went above and beyond the call of duty. He arrived the first day exactly as promised, setting the posts in cement, and aligning them with scientific accuracy. On the second day, he again arrived exactly as promised, and with skill and precision, built the new fence board by board, cutting the boards to match the look of the other fences in the neighborhood. He even built the new gate from scratch. All of this was achieved in five hours or so. <br /> <br /> Having watched him work, I can honestly say Scott is meticulous, takes great pride in his work, and is also a very nice guy. I would trust him implicitly, and would hire him again without hesitation.
