The service worked out fine. They showed up when they were supposed to, did their work and left. The interaction with them was delightful, and the work they did seems fine.

Beware!! Do not trust this company. <br /> We bought their $149 special and allowed them to talk us into over $1000 worth of work. They claimed that they checked the whole roof and we would get 10 years of protection from the roof.  <br /> Within a few days some shingles came loose and we contacted them and were told they would come as soon as their contractor  was back from vacation. A few more came loose and the roof looked worse than before they came! <br /> They never showed up and stopped answering emails & phone calls. Finally they told me I should just call someone else, so I had to pay another $200 to fix what Northern Roofing Consultants damaged. <br /> I gave them several opportunities to make this good - and I just heard from them that they don't care and don't plan on giving us a reimbursement for the amount I had to pay another company. <br /> <br />

It was wonderful.  They came out for an estimate and it was going to $500 but he explained what we could do the the $149 big deal.  He showed up on time.  He explained what he was going to do.  He was totally prepared.  He found a few things wrong that we didn't know about which was nice.  He gave us good advice.  He did a little extra on the side and didn't charge extra.  We were very pleased.  There hasn't be any leaks.  He was very polite. After the the repair, he cleaned out the downspouts.  My husband had gone to Home Depot thinking we needed the supplies but he said he had everything he needed.  We were able to take it back.  He also found a problem with the plywood under shingles was sagging.

The technician was on time, extremely friendly and knowledgeable, and very helpful. He did not try to sell us services we did not need, which we appreciated greatly. We were very pleased with his work. <br />

I don't think there's much more to say, frankly. I was not surprised that he suggested a new roof, but I told him I didn't think it necessary. His observation of problems was acute, but I think inaccurate. <br /> (I think I have written this evaluation before, so I was surprised to hear the telephone message that you wanted my evaluation.) <br /> I want to add that I dislike having work done here by persons who travel great distances from their site to get here. The gasoline expenditure is too much! Ogden, the home base of this contractor, is quite far. But a local roofer wanted $500 to make the repair; I couldn't pass up the offer! <br />

Jared was actually able to come early, and fixed a loose shingle, along with some related tasks.  He gave a useful estimate for more permanent solutions to our roof problems, and we intend to move forward with his proposals. <br />

Jared arrived on time and did the job in less than an hour.  I was very pleased with the work.  I had a supply of shingles and that saved time and cost.  Since no roofer can have every shingle I'd recommend that anyone using any roofer get a supply of shingles before the roofer shows up.  I would recommend Northern Roofers any time and any time I need a roof repair I will call them.  Very pleased. <br />

They guys were professional, and fixed everything I requested. They found other things as well and fixed those too. Provided photos to show me. I will use them again <br />

They were very nice to start with, but have not responded to my request for pictures of the roof they told me would be sent, nor have they replied to my questions as to what needs to be done, how much and when if I decide to use them, can they do it. There was a lot of weather the day they came for the inspection and were there under an hour; in my opinion, there was no way they could have accomplished what they said was inspected.

I didn't sign up to have the re-roof done. They were pretty good at that. It should be pretty much in good shape for the next couple of years. There was no extra charge at all. They were good. He took the time to explain everything he was seeing up there. We decided what was important to do at the present time. When they finally did contact me, it was two and a half weeks before they showed up. They didn't have anybody working in this area at that time. He was here before I expected him to be here that day. He was very good with professionalism.

I bought the big deal maintenance package. I was very pleased - Jared was friendly, courteous and efficient. I'm always sensitive when people try to upsell me on services. Jared did not - despite the condition of my roof (on its 20th year), Jared advised me that I could likely still squeeze a few years out of it. Very pleased with the service. <br />

We tried to get them to come out and fix it several times and after cancelling on us several times, they came on a day we weren’t home and did sub-standard repairs.  So we’ve had to hire someone else to do the repairs. They were rude and unprofessional.  We went to court and received a judgment but this whole experience was very unpleasant and I would not suggest anyone use them.

The  checked out the roof and said it looked ok, but we would have to address the seams on our membrane roof before too long.  We asked them for an estimate to do that, but they said they didn't have the expertise and wouldn't be able to do it for us.  when we started having leaks because of those seams we called them back and they came to give us an estimate.  Their original response of note being able to repair the seams was because of the materials used in a prior patch.  The prior roofers had not done it properly.  Anyway, they sent a bid but it took 4 weeks to get it.  By that time we had already had another company replace it. <br />

We were all very impressed at the professionalism, the speed, and the end result of dealing with Northern Roofing Consultants. They used factory trained installers, and explained each step of the process as they went along.  <br /> They saved us a lot of stress, time, and money and also possible damage to our building by getting us out of the weather so quickly. <br /> The roof looks great and in less than a week I think we are honestly better off than before the damage occurred. <br /> thanks a lot guys !!! <br /> We'll be using your services for all our future needs. <br /> AAAA <br /> D. I worked with Jesse Morgan.  She was great to work <br /> with.  I had 8 bids overall ranging from $11K - $21K.  NRC is not <br /> tolling around in brand spankin new trucks like the guys giving me bids in <br /> excess of $16K.  The estimators giving me <br /> bids in excess of $15K were very detailed in their quotes and try to sell you <br /> on their attention detail.  That they are <br /> insured and that they have creditable finances.  <br /> They also try to upsell you on receiving services to have a higher warranty.  NRC was the 2nd to lowest bid.  I <br /> decided to use them because there were A-rated here on Angies List and had a <br /> good rating with the BBB.  NRC was insured and more down to earth.  Jesse was good about answering my questions and <br /> addressing my concerns.  They like to use Owens Corning products which is <br /> a good product for what I found but I wanted the heavier Duration Premium <br /> Shingle which I think is 280 pound rated.  She said they didn't offer <br /> those in our market.  She did have her supplier locate some commercial use <br /> shingles that were the heaver type.  We agreed to use those and I put <br /> almost 50% deposit down and when they went to pull them they were gone.  <br /> She said they couldn't get anymore.  I called Owens Corning directly and <br /> they said I could get the heavier shingles and they could be shipped in.  <br /> I also called Roofers Supply and they said they could order them as well.  <br /> Jesse would go and check for me and would come back and say that I couldn't get <br /> those.  So I am not sure <br /> what was going on if I could really get them or not or maybe the cost was a lot <br /> more than I was quoted and they didn't want to admit a mistake.  Any way <br /> Jesse knew I wanted the heavier shingle so she <br /> offered to get me the Certainteed Landmark Premium Shingle or the heavier <br /> Series 50 Tamko shingle for the same price (minus the shipping charges to get <br /> the better Owens Corning shingle).  We went with the <br /> Certainteed Landmark Premium shingle.   With rain off and on they completed <br /> the job in an acceptable frame of time.  Their workers were good overall.  <br /> My only concern I had was the Ice and Water shield were not laid completely <br /> flat in one of the valleys and there was wrinkles and you can see the shingles <br /> have a little wave in them.  They cleaned up the yard ok, there are little <br /> pieces of shingles here and there.  Don't know I should be super picky <br /> about that.  They are not super detailed in their quotes or <br /> invoicing.  Overall I would use them again and recommended them to my <br /> neighbors.  <br /> <br /> <br />

Excellent workers on the job who were prompt and professional taking great pride in their workmenship.  We are very particular and our needs were met with our new roof.  Jesse was responsive to any concerns we expressed and very good to followup making sure we were pleased and everything completed to our satisfaction.  Care was taken not to damage flower beds and each day the crew did a complete clean-up so we were never left with any mess.  Once the tear off started they stayed on the job each day until finished - very realiable!   I feel we made an excellent choice and look forward to recommending their services to my associates in the future and suggest you not make a roofer choice until you talk with Northern Roofing. <br />

They were punctual, polite, and professional. It is hard for me to assess how good a job they did, but it was evident that they worked hard, the new roof looks great, and with the recent storm there were no "surprises". And their approach to clean-up was outstanding. I would hire them again, but I expect that I will not have to. <br />
