NORTHFIELD HEATING & AIR CONDITIONING

Tommy and Angel installed a new thermostat and ran wire to the boiler and A/C. This replaced a battery operated thermostat with direct AC. No more batteries and a great job. Tommy explained the operation of the thermostat well.

Jason differs from most HVAC people in that he actually THINKS about your problem and the best and most economical way to solve it. Jason and his team fixed and sealed my duct work so that air flow increased and a booster fan was no longer needed. He removed return duct that was dangerous (too near a gas water heater for code), and figured out a place to add return air (on the stairs leading down to the basement and far from the water heater) without having to rip up my floors or do plaster work (as proposed by others). He also replaced my over-sized (and therefore inefficient) system with a properly sized one. While others tried to take advantage of me since my heat was out, Jason solved problems that others had failed to solve for years.

They did a great job and are a pleasure to work.

Jason was excellent and showed up on time.  He was very personable and identified the problem immediately and was able to fix it.  He was also very efficient as well and the price was reasonable.  If I could I would rate them an A+.

Heater would not turn on. Called and he came the same day. It was a thermostat problem and he had one on the truck. Installed and working withing 20 minutes. Very prompt, professional and workman-like. Would DEFINITELY use him again. This is our 2nd transaction with him and we believe him to be capable and fairly priced.

Outstanding. He responded to my phone message promptly, we scheduled an appointment, he showed up when he promised he would, and he performed the work professionally and at a fair price. I recommend highly and will definitely use again.

Called on Saturday to schedule for Tuesday after the long weekend, but he knew the unit was not working correctly (I thought it needed a good cleaning and recharging primarily). He called on Sunday to find out if we would rather have him come on Memorial Day for no extra charge and we accepted. Once he got here and started looking at the unit, he learned that the capacitor was fried. Because of the holiday, he could not get a replacement and had to come back on Tuesday afternoon as originally scheduled. He did all of the other service work he could on Monday to minimize the time on site Tuesday. He showed up on the scheduled time on Monday, but was a little late on Tuesday due to another job running long, but he was only a little late and did call to let me know in advance. When he came back, he quickly and efficiently replaced the capacitor, tested the compression, and recharged the unit to get back into service. System is working fine now.

Awesome experience. Fast, prompt, reasonable, hard working. Jason is a terrific guy to work with.

Understand that I did not contact this company. The owner of the home did. But they did exactly what they should have done so I wanted to write a report for their benefit. It has been my experience that when a opportunity to rip off a client exists it usually exists with HVAC contracting since they can scare the client and have the ability to oversell equipment when they want to. This company - or at least Jason - was honest and fast. I did hear how much the client paid so I filled out the other information also.
